Pleasant: Round 0 (Pt. 2)

Mary-Sue manages to break up Dustin and Daniel’s argument and insists he join them for dinner. As a politician, Mary-Sue cares a lot about public appearances, and her husband trying to fistfight with a teenager doesn’t do her any favors. Mary-Sue wishes he would just act his age. Daniel wastes no time bringing up Dustin’s criminal lifestyle. 

Which really angers Lilith. She may hate her sister but she actually likes Dustin, and she hates how her dad feels the need to look down on everyone else. It’s not like his life is as picture perfect as it appears on the outside. Poor Lilith doesn’t even have a spot left for her at the table and has to eat at the bar by herself. 

Angela tells everyone that her and Dustin are officially dating, and Daniel does not take the news well. 

Daniel can’t help but slip in a comment about he better not get his little girl pregnant, and how both of their lives would be ruined if they had kids. Mary-Sue hopes he feels differently when he finds out about them having a new baby on the way... 

After dinner, Mary-Sue rolls the want to talk to Lilith. She tries to tell her about her work day, but Lilith isn’t interested in politics; Mary-Sue’s or otherwise. 

Mary-Sue honestly does try with Lilith, but Lilith wants nothing to do with her. She wishes things had turned out differently with her girls. 

Mary-Sue breaks the news to Daniel that they’ll be expanding their family, and he doesn’t take the news well. He tells Mary-Sue he needs some time to process and heads downtown for a drink with Don and Nina. 

Daniel seems more interested in Celeste Midlock though.. 

Back at home, Lilith and Angela started dancing together out of the blue. Angela is not happy about Lilith joining in at first. 

But she eventually lightens up and they share a nice moment for once.

I forgot to include pictures of how their house was furnished back when I shared the lot makeovers, so here’s a furnished 54 Via Veronaville. As you can see most of their money went on the lot.

We start with Regan and Cornwall attempting to converse from opposite sides of their dining room whilst they eat their leftovers for breakfast.

I can only assume either nothing of note happened during the day or I had a Fraps fail, because the next photo I have is Regan returning home with a promotion to Senior Manager.

Reagn brought Downtownie Celeste Midlock home from work, I suspect Regan is explaining that her marriage was arranged but that’s all good because she has off the charts chemistry with her hubbie.

Don’t mind the makeover Celeste received since the last shot, I think Regan approves.

Celeste seems rather stuck on the idea that Cornwall married Regan for her money. She doesn’t understand it’s all fine because they can fuck like rabbits even if they despise each other.

Meanwhile upstairs Cornwall works on the charisma points he needs to be promoted. I think he’s rehearsing a speech to his boss about the merits of buying the local politicians.

Regan is straight to work at gaining the logic points she needs for the next step up the career ladder.

Time for dinner.

And more hollering across a football field.

That triple bolt chemistry means they can’t wait to reach their bed, not when there’s a perfectly good antique sofa to get busy on. I am quite worried for their upholstrey.

And there is a new little Capp on the way. They both had a baby want so I didn’t put them on birth control.

Cornwall blocked the toilet and left it for Regan to sort out. Charming!

The next morning he’s back in front of the mirror so he can criticise Hermia’s violin playing, doesn’t he know she just got promoted in the orchestra?

Is he talking to someone? I am quite shocked if that’s the case.

Oh no, he’s making more money to add the huge pile they already have.

Now she’s home from work it’s Regan’s turn to monologue to the mirror. Can you tell that i enjoy these animations a great deal?

Cornwall greets Ramir Patel as he walks by the lot. I hope they don’t notice that their trousers match!

Aww how nice Ramir! Compliments are lovely to receive.

Cornwall: I married her for the huge piles of money. I mean, have you ever seen the Capp family gold vault? I wanted to swim in it like Scrooge McDuck!

Regan makes dinner again. She has more cooking points and I don’t want them to die.

Cornwall does some skilling, whilst sitting in the wet spot from yesterday.

So happily married these two are.

Pop!

She may be on maternity leave but Regan walks to work the next morning.

I can’t decide if I want Cornwall to get that promotion or not.

Dammit! I worked hard for that charisma point.

Regan’s day went very well though, she’s promoted to Vice President.

Straight onto that needed creatitivity skill.

And Cornwall gets to work on gaining his lost charisma back.

Carlos Contender walks by and I have Regan greet him.

I think she’s glad I told her to do that.

And that would seem to be it for them. I don’t know if they were just boring or if I was missing the print screen key throughout their round.

I am considering rerolling their LTWs, since their bios were about wanting to avoid the family business. I may let them go down the OFB business route, but I’m not sure what businesses they should run. Suggestions very welcome.

A little bit jealous about his friend’s success with women, Connor gives the matchmaker a call.

They’ve got enough money, so why not take his fate in his own hands. Not that he knew if he was ready to settle down already...

His date is this downtownie (Why can’t she ever sent playables on a blind date?!) Celeste Midlock.

Their date is... kinda boring. They are talking a bit and then plant themselves infront of the TV. Their conversation isn’t going too well despite having two bolts. So:

Who is the black sim girl in some of your recent preview pics?

There’s a couple different sims this could be referring to, one of them is mermaid Ophelia, which is a weird headcanon I came up with for her for TS4:

The other is Celeste Midlock, the ridiculously gorgeous downtownie known for her sparkly turquoise dress. This is now a Celeste appreciation post.

Hi rudhira, just a quick question. What's your favourite premade Sims 2 hood & premade Sim (if you have one)?

Hi! Probably Strangetown, but I also haven't played many hoods other than PV, ST and Downtown... It's really hard to just pick one premade Sim, but like... the Caliente twins, the entire Singles household, Stella Terrano, Celeste Midlock... I like women with cool vibes, I guess.

Standard Sim? As in premades? Right now, probably Lola Curious. My favourite townie (well, downtownie) is definitely Celeste Midlock.
