It’s been a minute!

I went on vacation mid June, then haven’t quite recovered since coming back lol!! Then the Fourth of July hit; which is also my birthday.

So fair to say, I have not fully recovered 🤣

Anyway I thought I’d share on tumblr as well…I did a portrait piece of David Tennant with a few of my Dirty Donkey Good Omens gang. We crazily finished in 3 days time. The beads have given us PTSD lol!!

Here’s my watercolor painting of Dilraba Dilmurat with the 3rd photo as reference. When painting this, I noted that the bluish/purplish shading in both my painting and in the reference photo pulls the color palette together, giving it a mostly cool tone. The shading was especially interesting on the clothing since it has an unusual texture for painting the gradient of light. Overall, my favorite part of this is how dramatic and unique the lighting style is.

So I've had this painting done for a while now but I wanted to wait as long as possible to post it because Ive been working on the next painting for liTERALLY 14 HOURS 💀💀💀 But uhh Im prettyy sure Im almost done with that one finally so heres my Houdini portrait of goddess Dua Lipa !! 💙 Reaaally happy with this one tbh! The lighting was a nice challenge for sure! I know I say this about every painting I do of people I dont draw often- but I nEeD to draw Dua Lipa more she's so gorgeous 😭😭 Cant wait for her new song + album!! 🥰

the first sketch is supposed to be this sorta lamb-human hybrid kid kept in this secret experimental facility.

the second is a portrait study of Graham McTavish but I feel kinda iffy about how it turned out—don’t think I captured the character of his expression as well as I wanted.

the last sketch is pretty rough but I imagined like a fake screencap from a dystopian cyberpunk movie of this chick in the middle of some sort of pivotal altercation.
