Wow. Thanks! I’m imagining a version where Bruno did find out Carlos was going before he went, and gave him/gave Cecil to gave him a letter wishing him good bye and good luck, and letters to send to the Madrigals in Encanto, and so on...
And Carlos is like “Where are these letters from? Madrigal who? Who is this guy? WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE’S BEEN IN THE WALLS THIS WHOLE TIME?!”
Diego, Hunter, and Ivy must have been shocked. Especially Ivy and Hunter - they actually remember Bruno, and they remembered him disappearing. Then they didn’t see him for the next about 15 years. They probably thought he was dead - well, no one can die on the Isle, no villains anyway (can Hunter and Ivy? They’re classified as villains, right?) but maybe they thought Bruno had somehow managed it. And then surprise! he’s been living in the walls this whole time. They do like him, though.
In canon, Dolores knew that Bruno was in the walls. In the Bruno on the Isle AU, did anyone know that he was secretly living within Hell Hall? Cecil? Diego? (Also I will totally reblog all the asks of mine you've answered recently, I just haven't been able to do so yet because I'm at home so I can't properly access Tumblr at the moment. But I'll do it as soon as I can.)
Never worry about you answering late with me, I'm terrible at keeping tabs on when to do it myself, for one reason or another. As you see, I'm answering late too, lol.
For the first year, no one did, Bruno was very careful about not blowing his cover. Cecil asked Ella where Bruno went and she only answered she kicked him out and didn't care what has been of him. But Cecil cared, they were friends at that point and he owed Bruno a lot since he took care of Diego in his first months. Yet, he couldn't find him anywhere and worried he was comatose in a ditch or worse, trapped in the basement of Hell Hall (he didn't want to think badly of his sister but, eh, he knew her too well not to suspect she had a more active hand in her husband's disappearance).
Yet, the first one to know Bruno was alive and well, was Will Baker, Anastasia Tremaine's husband. You know the snippet with Carlos being ill, Bruno went to Will to see if there was a cure because he worried Cecil, with his blind loyalty to Ella, would have told her something. The next to know was, of course, Facilier, whose shadows had informed him. Mr. Ratigan's crew knew too, as they had an alliance, Ratigan Jr was actually friends with Bruno who taught him to act, along with a lot of other rats. Bruno wrote the Ratanovelas for them and offered shelter, they helped him out by keeping an eye on Carlos and providing other stuff.
Cecil eventually figured out that Bruno had never left Hell Hall, it was more of a suspicion at first, so he waited for a day when he knew Cruella wouldn't be home to find clues, and he did, although he didn't manage to speak with him directly, he did told him he was sorry Ella treated him bad and he was willing to help, if Bruno could still trust him.
Years later, Carlos had one of his legs broken in a chase and Bruno didn't know what to do, so he did go to Cecil for help. Never for himself, but he'd do anything for Carlos' sake. Cecil tried to convince Bruno to tell Carlos everything but he refused, as he believed that kind of life fitted him better, and also that Carlos would have suffered from the conflicts that would arise in the whole family if he tried to be back in his life openly.
When Carlos was selected to go to Auradon, Maleficent didn't give the kids time or chance to go back home to pack, it all happened in a matter of hours, she summoned the other three Villains to tell them what was going to happen, then got the Rotten Four to Bargain Castle to tell them too and they were shipped that very day, too quickly to realize. Carlos' garbage bag was put together by Hunter, who overheard and managed to get that much before the limo arrived (Carlos trusted his eldest cousin and grabbed the garbage bag without questioning it. All the De Vil cousins wanted out and knew Carlos needed out more than anyone. Ivy and her kids could wait, Diego was one of the most beloved children of the Isle by his parents, Hunter was old enough to do well, but Carlos? No, Carlos had to get out the first chance he got).
Ahem. I digressed.
So, Carlos is sent out before the news could spread enough to get to Bruno, who thought Carlos would be at school or around with his new friends. When Carlos didn't come back home that night, he worried a bit but assumed he must have stayed in the nice hideout Mal and Jay had built and the Rotten Four sometimes crashed at, but no, Carlos was gone for more than two days and he never was and Bruno worried. Eventually, he ran out to ask Cecil who told him Carlos was in Auradon, safe and sound (Bruno cried a lot when he heard. of happiness but also because he knew he'd miss Carlos so damn much and he regretted he couldn't give him a letter to give his family to let them know who Carlos was and beg them to take care of him...), and it was then that Diego and Hunter found out about him living in the walls of Hell Hall. They told Ivy, who told her husband and parents, who told PH. Eventually, they even told Ivy's kids and Hunter's partner.
No one told Cruella, by common agreement she didn't need to know and it was better if she didn't have a clue (they all liked weird Uncle Bruno). In fact, she'll only find out at her own trial of domestic abuse, way after the Barrier will be open and Bruno is allowed to move back into Encanto.

Could you please do a mini comic of the vk's finding pictures of their parents when they were younger or showing the villains when they were younger please and thank you
This is not a comic, just pictures of three villains in their youth age… and I interpreted "youth" as "childhood"
It's based on the Descendants universe, with a bit of myown lore that I just wrote, basically because I hate the concept of Merlin Academy.
Sooo
Enjoy!
MALEFICENT
A girl fickle like a fairy, wild like a dragon. She fights all the time with her father, because he wants to keep her inside the mountain (for him, she's her treasure) and she wants to do her own will (because going against all is part of her personality). Absent mother, because fairies don't care about raising her children. When Maleficent escapes from the nest to go to the nearby kingdom, she discovers that humans are not to be trusted.
JAFAR
Jafar and his twin sister, Nasira. Two street rats. Orphaned from childhood. Alone against the world. They have a codependent relationship, where she's the one who dominates. Nasira is a sorceress from birth. Jafar doesn't trust magic because he magic has caused them more problems than solutions. It was Nasira's power that caused her parents to die in an accident. The twins don't know. But they suspect.
CRUELLA
Cruella ("Estella" at birth) and her older siblings. The youngest. The only girl in a large family of hunters and doctors. A rich and powerful family, without scruples. She grew up like a spoiled brat, with the sole purpose of perpetuating the family line. Her life planned and mapped out from the moment she was born. She was given everything she wanted, except love, affection and understanding.

50 Things to Know about the Disney-verse
1. Ursula and Maleficent are rivals so Uma and Mal being rivals also tracks.
2. The Evil Queen and Maleficent are rivals for Hades' affections and for the status of "The Evilest of Them All'.
3. The Evil Queen claims not to be Hades' girlfriend, but they just had "an interesting weekend" on Castaway Cay. And therefore, I headcanon that she is Hadie’s mom. Probably conceived sometime around Evie’s banishment.
4. In the Disney Villains: Top Secret Files, Maleficent is featured in her own section. According to the pieces of information provided, Maleficent's last name is Faery.
5. She was actually invited to Aurora's birth ceremony and that the invitation simply never got to her castle because she burnt the postman to death (believing him to be a trespasser) before he could deliver it.
6. Her dragon form also appeared in The Little Mermaid series episode "Heroes" as a sea dragon.
7. Captain Hook tried to charm her, only to be zapped away leaving behind his hook. Jafar also tried to woo her while they sat together, only to end up being literally burnt.
8. It was revealed in "A Christmas Cruella" that she did want a puppy before becoming her villainous self.
9. Cruella has a brother named Cecil and a niece named Ivy. However, Cecil is not Ivy's father, meaning that Cruella and Cecil must have another sibling (most likely a brother) who is Ivy's parent.
10. In 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue, Cruella has set up a toy factory next to DeVil Manor. She seems to have tried online dating, where she has supposedly wed herself to Professor Farzboom, a meek professor who helps her make her toys. So there’s Carlos’ dad.
11. In "Max's Embarrassing Date", she went on a date with the Beast and asked if he came in a medium, which the Beast became annoyed of. After the Beast gets soaked with soup he was eating, Cruella is unhappy as she would have to get him dry-cleaned.
12. Walt Disney's early vision for The Rescuers revolved around the kidnapping of a polar bear from a city zoo; writers considered reusing Cruella as the main antagonist (presumably driven by her desire for the bear's fur).
13. The concept art of the film shows Cruella wearing an outfit made out of crocodile leather. Because The Rescuers was set more than a decade after 101 Dalmatians, Cruella was given a period-appropriate update. Aside from her '70s alligator-chic outfit, Cruella is accessorized with Sly and the Family Stone-style sunglasses. In other sketches, De Vil is depicted in bell-bottom pants and a pair of platforms. Other concept art showed Cruella driving a water vehicle similar to the one Medusa uses in the final film.
14. The Prince is usually known as Prince Charming, though some source material shows that his name is Henri, or Henry. However, he was never referred to by name anywhere in the film. Not even mentioned as "Prince Charming".
15. The story takes place roughly in June. In the movie, the sun rises slightly before 6:00 AM (in France), as it would within a few weeks of the summer solstice. Also, by this time, a pumpkin would have grown to 20–40 pounds.
16. The debate of the setting of Cinderella has always been a problem, but most people can agree it is French; however, there is a small amount of people who think it is Spanish because the female names end in "A" but that does not really cut it so deeper research shows that the thing on Anastasia's head is a peineta or headdress used in Spain along with formal attire also the French furnishings and the Spanish furnishings within the same time period are very similar in style.
17. Cinderella is the “oldest” princess in the official franchise being 19 while Snow White is the youngest being 14. Also, Snow White’s prince was suppose to be 18 according to Disney’s records.
18. In the third movie, Cinderella’s shoe size is mentioned to be a size 4½ in women's. According to Disney's Villains' Revenge, Snow White has smaller feet than Cinderella.
19. Cinderella was actually rich at the beginning, even before she married the prince. This was exempted, however, as she was forced to work as a servant.
20. In some stories, Cinderella's real name was Ella (short for Eleanor), and because she would always lie in cinders, her stepfamily would call her CinderElla. However, in the Disney film, "Cinderella" is truly her name by birth.
21. Cinderella's last name would likely have been Tremaine since her stepmother's name was Lady Tremaine unless Lady Tremaine kept her maiden name.
22. According to Disneystrology, Cinderella’s birthday is September 6.
23. According to the Disneystrology book, Snow White’s birthday would be on March 6.
24. Cinderella is magical. She has a special ability to empathize with animals, perceive what they say and communicate with them.
25. Melody is the very first human-merperson hybrid in history, making her birth a significant historic moment in both human and Atlantican history.
26.She is also not considered a canon descendant’s character and considered to be from an AU, but apparently, Beauty & The Beast, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid are considered to be happening roughly around the same time in the disney timeline.
26. Melody's bedroom is Ariel's guest room when she first took human form and stayed with Prince Eric, albeit recolored with brighter colors.
27. Contrary to popular belief, Jasmine's age has never been confirmed or even referenced in any of the Aladdin movies, television series, or other spinoff projects. In the original film, the Sultan declares that Jasmine must be married "by her next birthday", but never specifies how old she will become on said birthday.
28. An early story concept for the original film had the Sultan saying, "Jasmine, the law says you must be married by your sixteenth birthday.", which would have made her fifteen years old. This concept was scrapped when Jeffrey Katzenberg became worried about sending the wrong message regarding the idea that fifteen year old girls can get married. Thus, the line was changed to "married to a prince by your next birthday.", leaving Jasmine's canonical age unknown.
29. One of the Disney Princess magazines has a story about two of Jasmine's cousins named Farah and Nadine. Whether they are considered canon is unknown.
30. Although the exact date is not clear, Jasmine's birthday is in late January or early February. This is because when Aladdin and Jasmine fly on the magic carpet, Chinese New Year is being celebrated over in China. This holiday can fall anywhere from January 21 to February 20.
31. She also has another cousin named Sharma who teaches at The Royal Academy.
32. Nasira is the better sorcerer between her and her twin brother, Jafar.
33. According to Disneystrology, Tiana’s birthday would be on December 25, Christmas Day.
34. The trailer implies that Gaston may have been aware of the Beast's curse, and had ulterior motives besides wanting Belle as his wife for attempting to kill the Beast, as the trailer described him as being "one man who wants to keep the spell alive," although it is unconfirmed whether this was the case in the film itself.
35. Despite various concept materials, as listed above, give Gaston the surname of LeGume, the Bimbettes during the song of "Belle" refer to Gaston as "Monsieur Gaston" and Belle in the reprise twice sarcastically refers to herself as "Madame Gaston" suggesting that Gaston is his surname in the final version.
36. The Bimbettes (individual names Claudette, Laurette, and Paulette) are blonde identical triplets who fawn over Gaston. They are inspired by Belle's sisters from the original Beauty and the Beast fairy tale.
37. They are the first Disney characters to possess green eyes without being villains
38. These girls worked their asses off in the comics to get Gaston to notice them. 😩
39. Its implied in one comic that Belle and Gaston were friends when they were children.
40. Ironically, despite Belle being considered by the village to be the most beautiful woman in the village, Laurette once disguised herself as Belle flawlessly enough to fool Gaston initially, which conflicted with the claim that Belle's looks had no parallel.
41. Even though he is referred to as a prince in the opening, none of the characters directly refer to him by that title. In addition, the first draft for Woolverton's take of the film indicated that the Beast was intended to be a duke instead of a prince.
42. According to the first stained-glass window featured in the film's opening sequence, Adam’s family motto is "vincit qui se vincit" (meaning "The winner is who wins himself").
42. Though the Beast's official age is not mentioned in the movie, it is strongly indicated by the narrator's statement that the rose "would bloom until his 21st year." As the rose has already begun to wilt by the time Belle arrives at the castle, it is very likely that the Beast is 20 years (i.e. on their 21st year) of age by this point.
43. In authorized supplementary comics, most notably The New Adventures of Beauty and the Beast, the Prince is never shown as being older than a preteen when he's shown as a human; moreover, the palace staff all refer to his pre-curse self as "a young boy" or "child". Two individual comics show that the Prince was originally a few years older than Chip, who didn't age during the curse, and shows him as being a couple of years older than Belle herself. The comics also show that the Prince has had a few run-ins with the disguised Enchantress, meaning that he'd still be a preteen when he was cursed.
44. Despite her slim figure, Belle seems to have considerable strength. She may have lifted the Beast, as evidenced by the Beast being placed onto Philippe's back, although this was never shown on-screen. Later on, she was able to pull the Beast up onto a balcony.
45. Belle is currently the only official Disney Princess to have hazel eyes.
46. In the beginning of the original 1989 storyline, found on the Diamond Edition DVD, Belle's birthday is celebrated, and the cake reads "Happy 17th Birthday Belle", providing evidence that she is 17 in the movie, or at least that she was originally planned to be 17.
47. Contrary to popular belief, it's not made clear whether Belle was actually born a peasant, as she implies that she wasn't born in her home village in the opening song, but rather moved there. In addition, her owning books at her cottage implied that she is, or at least was, considerably wealthy (as back in the time period of the film, books were considerably expensive).
48. In the musical, specifically the song "No Matter What" one of the lyrics had Maurice stating "You are your mother's daughter; therefore you are class ... crème de la crème", implying that Belle was part of the social upper class. This was also supported by Belle having a portrait of her and her mom in the Enchanted Tales of Belle attraction.
49. In earlier drafts, Aladdin had three human friends named Babkak, Omar, and Kassim.
50. In the episode "Two to Tangle", it's revealed that Aladdin has unexplored magic powers hidden within his soul. This may possibly be a link to him being "The Diamond In The Rough".

My Version of Diego De Vil!
The oldest De Vil of the new generation, he's a year and a few months older than Carlos and Cousin Ivy's still in elementary school.
Cecil's only son, he and Diego are actually close, their only disputes tend to be about Diego's band and how he should be managing/marketing themselves.
Carlos and Diego get along pretty well, but they don't spend as much time together as Diego would like (one of those reasons being Cruella). Regardless, he keeps an eye out for him from a distance (and Ivy as well).
Inherited the De Vil snark and sarcasm, but he's not mean.
He only flaunts the fact that he's Cruella's nephew for promo, other than that, he couldn't care less. (It's part of the reason he also wears fake fur.)
The founder, lead singer, electric guitarist, composer, song-writer, de facto manager, and resident heart throb of "The Rotten Apples" (and he's actually pretty good).
His band is notorious for their alternating lineup. Many have a hard time dealing with his perfectionist ways or his huge ego.
Some notable former members: Uma (one of the OG members, they were eight and her voice was like no other, but she didn't wanna be in the background), Harry (bass guitar, by proxy because of Uma, left when she did), Claudine Frollo (keyboard, her father made her quit playing secular music), Anthony Tremaine (keyboard, but the man was tone deaf and he got bored), Rick Ratcliffe (drums, creative differences), Jace and Harry Badun (OG members, guitar and drums respectively, they were both terrible)
Whenever a member leaves, he gets Carlos to be their fill-in until another member fills the spot, or an old member rejoins.
In fact, whenever he needs help with anything, Carlos is his go-to. Diego calls it "bonding time". Carlos doesn't usually mind since it gets him out of the house.
Carlos taught Diego how to drive when Carlos was 10.
Quite a few of the songs are protesting against the living conditions of the Isle.
When he's not rehearsing or performing, he's rather chill and easy-going. He's one of the last VKs that'll start anything with anyone, unprovoked
Jay had stolen one of their bass guitars once for Jafar's store and he stayed outside of their home blasting their music for hours in the night until they eventually caved and returned it.
Has/had the hugest crush on Freddie Facilier, the guy was ECSTATIC when Uma had hired The Rotten Apples AND Freddie for entertainment at her birthday party.
Has waves, and tends to split dye his hair some variation of red, white, or pink (do NOT touch his hair).
Became an honorary member of Harriet's crew when he carried her to a medic after a run-in she had with Song, Shan Yu's only claimed son.

What if Villians were good parents part 2;
Summary: A look into what things would be like if Cruella de Vil was a good mother and aunt.
Trigger warnings; Offscreen Death, past child neglect, unhealthy coping mechanisms, adoption, and mental health issues.
Requested by; @profoundgladiatorbarbarian .
🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
Archer hadn't meant for it to happen…
Archer hadn't meant for it to happen…
Archer hadn't meant for it to happen…
That's what Cruella kept telling herself as she drove to the police station. But that didn't quell the anger she felt in the slightest.
Because now he was gone.
Her nephew was gone—dead because of a stupid trick shot that he had tried against her advisement.
Leaving behind his three year old son—Hunter—who had witnessed the whole thing and called the police like he had been taught.
Who had arrived at Archer's farm to find him dead with an arrow in his neck, his wife nowhere to be found, and said son in hysterics.
Cruella knew that it wasn't fair or smart to be angry at a dead man. But she couldn't help it.
She couldn't believe that her nephew had been so reckless.
So selfish.
So stupid.
Perhaps it was a way for her to cope with the overwhelming exhaustion and sadness she felt. Or perhaps it was just because she was so overwhelmingly pissed at the fact that she didn't know what to do.
Who to call.
What decision to make regarding what would undoubtedly be asked of her when she arrived at the station.
Cruella wasn't a stranger to the legal protocol of what was to be done with an orphaned child.
She was old enough to remember when her uncle, Malachi, died and her cousin, P.H, came to live with her family after all.
She knew that Hunter (if she was remembering his name right) would either be placed with a relative of one of his parents or in an orphanage.
She knew that his mother had no family. Or none that could be found anyway.
She knew from Horace and Jasper that orphanages often weren't the best places.
And Cruella, of course, knew her family well. Knew what could go wrong.
Her mother wasn't a caring woman even when her father was still alive and that hadn't changed.
P.H loved experimenting on people and animals—never bothering to ask if it was okay before he started—and always ate the unhealthiest things.
Cristian loved his booze more than ever she did.
Divus was in school trying to become a teacher and forgot to eat a good portion of the time.
Cecil was always on the move trying to hit it big and couldn't afford to take care of a child even if he wanted to.
Cotton was barely an adult himself and had a dangerous job, and an even deadlier fascination with fire.
And Cyrus… was dead…
Which left Cruella.
Cruella who knew that she was emotionally and mentally unstable.
Cruella who had always been firmly against having kids after basically having to raise her younger brothers when her parents were away.
She knew that she could refuse if asked to take the toddler she barely knew in. That she didn't have to take him in. That he wasn’t her responsibility.
But she also couldn't get the image of the wiggling newborn baby with her grandfather's hair and father's eyes that she had last seen three years ago out of her head.
The baby turned toddler who was now sitting alone at the police station waiting for someone— anyone —to show up and collect him from the strange, scary, unfamiliar place he found himself in through no fault of his own.
Cruella knew that if asked to take him that she'd say yes. That it was inevitable and she couldn't—wouldn't just walk away and let Hunter be shipped off somewhere else.
She wouldn't allow him to be shipped off to her mother and have the same lonely childhood she had.
He deserved better than that.
And she was going to give it to him.
🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
"Auntie Ella, where are we going?" Hunter, now nine, asked sleepily as she helped him into his jacket and searched frantically for the car keys in the dark of her mansion.
The clock read 3:00 AM.
Cruella didn't know what to tell him.
No.
She didn't know how to tell him the awful news.
How to tell him that his great uncle, Cotton, was dead because of his own stupidity and arsonist habits and that his three year old cousin, Ivy, was in the hospital with serious injuries. Mother nowhere to be found.
How was someone supposed to explain that to a nine year old who still had nightmares about his father's own death and his mother's disappearance from his life?
She didn't know.
But she knew she had to try.
"Ivy and her daddy got in a bad accident, and she needs us right now. We're going to go see her."
Hunter furrowed his brows. Taking a few minutes to process what she said as she passed him his shoes and searched for the keys.
"Oh. Is she okay?"
Cruella paused in her search for a brief moment. Not looking at him.
"She's… she's really hurt, darling. The doctors think she's going to be okay but they aren't sure and don't think she should be alone right now."
"Oh."
"I know. Now come on, get your shoes on and help me look for the keys."
🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
As she stared at her younger nephew, Diego, as he slept on her couch, Cruella couldn't help but wonder how she kept getting into these situations.
She had already taken in Hunter and Ivy, who were now 10 and 4 respectively, and now she was to take in Cecil's oops baby that he hadn't known he had until yesterday.
Why she had agreed to take the 3 year old in while his father was still alive, she didn't know. But it wasn't like she could revoke it now considering the fact that Cecil was already out of the country on another one of his shoots.
Sighing, Cruella grabbed a blanket from nearby and draped it over the sleeping toddler. Who furrowed his brows but thankfully stayed asleep.
She really didn't get paid enough for this.
Oh wait.
She didn't get paid at all.
It was a good thing she was rich.
🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩🐩
"Diego, darling, don't poke the baby" Cruella sighed tiredly as she strolled into the nursery at 1am to find her 4 year old nephew poking her newborn son.
Causing Carlos to wail louder than he already was.
"Sowwy Auntie Ella." Diego said, retracting his hand from the crib.
Cruella just ran her hand through his hair as she leaned over the crib to check on her son. Knowing that the older boy didn't mean any harm. "Why are you up? Did you have a nightmare?"
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw him shake his head. Causing his bangs to fall into his eyes.
" 'Los crying. Los sad?"
"No, darling. That's just the only way He knows how to communicate with us."
"Oh."
Cruella hummed in response, squeezing the squeaky dalmatian chew toy that amused her son for some unfathomable reason in hopes of calming him.
Causing his crying to cease as he stared up at her and the toy. Which he immediately reached for, cooing and clapping. Eyes lighting up.
Diego watched intrigued, so Cruella squeezed the toy again.
Exciting Carlos further.
And in that moment, Cruella allowed herself to smile despite her exhaustion—because she was doing much better at this than she ever thought she would.
And a part of her was much happier because of it.

De Vil Fashion & Business Empire in the 1920 AU
I'm going off the track with them and I know it. However, I don't care.
There is the whole family, from Descendants and that animated 101 Dalmatians show. Basically. Cruella. P. H. and Cecil, her brothers. Malevola, their mother. That weird judge thing that is related to them somehow and everybody is too tired to care. And of course, the four cousins: Carlos, Diego, Ivy and Hunter.
Freaking menaces, the lot of them.
Rebels and megalomaniacs. See where the reflectors shine? Yeah? There is a chance you will see the familiar black-and-white underneath it, and quite possibly behind the machinery too.
Anyway, imagine they are like low-key bulvar stars. (They have they fashion empire, haven't they? It's not that implausible.)
And they are loving it. Every damn minute.
And when managed properly, it doesn't even interfere with their life on the streets, in the criminal underworld and in various gangs.
As in the addition to their fashion empire, they sell various techno gadgets, several of which lethal when used correctly.
That's Carlos' favourite part of the family business, by the way. Just, yes. He can play with sharp things, if he wants. He deserves it ♥️
Just like Ivy deserves a tiny bit of arson ♥️
Ivy's an actress, and Diego has a band. He qnd Freddie Facilier almost killed eachother over who is the better musician, and it was an extremely terrifying time for everyone else involved in the criminal underworld.
Are they gigs legal? Yes, of course. All of them? Well, hold your horses now-
But it doesn't matter, really.
They have a bribed judge, who might or might not be related to them, and everyone is too scared to figure it out. Either way, this man is the only reason Ivy isn't in jail yet.
Oh, and Carlos, who is perpetually stuck reminding her to be less flashy with her crimes and also draging her away from the fires.

hey, I noticed you posted about Diego DeVil in your Twitter series, and I've seen posts around mentioning him, so ig he's a canon character? in the books or something?
but how does that work when Cruella has no living family, or at least no family with the surname DeVil? Because that was the whole reason she didn't change her surname when she got married and instead made her husband change his. With the husband point, also. I've seen some people theorising for who Carlos' dad is, but wouldn't it be Mr DeVil?
Or am I just misremembering which things from the original book didn't or did get in to the film?
I'm guessing the pepper thing also didn't get into the film because I could see that as a very easy gag Descendants could have used for Carlos, as either yet another "damn this kid has it shit" if he hates it, an auradon-kids-think-stuff-the-vks-do-is-weird thing, or a Cruella-wants-off-the-isle-so-she-can-put-pepper-on-her-desserts because lack of stuff on the Isle thing
yeah he's a canon character! he's mentioned in the books, and there isn't a lot that's said about him, except that he's Cruella's nephew and has a mohawk. the rest is just my own expansion on canon lol bc i think it could be a cool dynamic and also bc it shows that not all kids of the Isle have some villainous or heroic amibition, like my Diego is just a musician and cares about Carlos
canonically, Cruella does have family, her brother, Cecil B. de Vil, who appears in 101 Dalmatians: the series, so Diego is probably his son. there's also possibly another sibling, because she has (also in the series) a niece, Ivy, but Cecil is not her father. there's also Cruella's cousin, the scientist. the whole de Vil clan overall are criminals and villains
idk how to say this except for this: u don't need to get married to have children lol. we don't see Carlos' father ever, so it's clear he's not involved. and if there's no father, the child usually takes mother's last name. like the only thing we can tell for sure is that he's white, because Carlos himself is mixed and Cruella is Black
im either bugging or just don't know something because i don't understand the pepper thing sorry
#thank u for the ask!#asks#raspberry-gloaming#fighting the urge to say 'me for example' about the last name thing lmao

Hi again! I was wondering, one of the reasons you headcanon Bruno as Carlos' father is because of his name. Carlos is a Spanish name, yet Cruella is British, so it would make sense for Carlos' father to be from a Spanish-speaking country. But Carlos has a cousin, Diego (presumably the son of Cruella's brother Cecil), who appears in the first two Isle books. Why do you think he was given a Spanish name too? Did Bruno have some influence over his nephew's name? Did Diego's mother speak Spanish?
Well, my explanation for Carlos' name is very Watsonian, mind you. From a Doylist point of view, the name was likely picked because Cameron Boyce was half-black and a Spanish name fit him better. Therefore we can deduce Diego's name was possibly picked to fit the pattern.
That said, well, yes, it could be that Diego's mother is a Spanish speaker or even, a thing I suggested in the past, that there are Spanish roots somewhere in the de Vil lineage, some grandparent or even Cruella and Cecil's father, who knows?
From how I rebuild the de Vil family tree (for Descendants and Descendants only!) I consider the first Cruella the one portrayed by Emma Stone, she later had children of her own, one of which fathered the Cruella of Glenn Close, who is the mother (or grandmother if we add Malevola to the line) of the one we have in Descendants (who would be the same one as the cartoon, I guess, although they look nothing alike). Who's to say where in the family line a Spanish husband could have entered? Glenn Close's Cruella seemed against marriage but that doesn't mean she could have not had kids.
So, something like that:
Or, skipping Malevola, this:
(I did them in, like, 15 minutes with family echo and it's past midnight here, sorry if they are unclear. Estella-Cruella is the Emma Stone one, Cruella (LA) is Glenn Close's)
And I know that wasn't the question, but we have at least two parents unaccounted for (the one Estella's child married and the current Cruella's father), plus one in the top scenario, which means Diego and Carlos can easily have one Spanish-speaking relative somewhere up there.
All that to say I don't have a precise idea about Diego's mother yet, lol. Perhaps one of the minor villains from Avalor? (I remember very little of the show though, save for Shuriki, who is very much not Diego’s mother)
It would also be very cute if uncle Bruno had some tie with the choice, maybe he's even Diego's godfather or something? Unlikely, though.
#question answered#disney descendants#descendants#ouch I didn't realize how late it is#I should have answered in the morning#oh well#anyway now it's done#goodnight the queue is on

You know, it would be more practical to make P.H., Cruella, and Cecil B. De Vil siblings, because then P.H. could be Ivy’s father, and that would make it way easier for me
#I will be killing PH and Cecil off either way#(leaving Ivy Hunter & Diego without parents)#but for reasons I want to do it like this+#Cecil will be Hunter and/or Diego‘s father
