Madara slipped into an alleyway to catch his breath. Things hadn't exactly gone according to plan and he had split up with Kohaku until they could get away, and now he was here.

"Huh? What's going on?" A familiar voice called out from the street. What was he doing here?

Madara turned around and saw Leo, his best friend and... no he shouldn't think about it right now. He grabbed Leo and pulled him into the alleyway, shushing him as people ran past in the street.

Just as Madara thought the coast was clear, footsteps came back around and--

Madara pulled Leo into a kiss and shoved him against the wall, shielding him with his body. He didn't know why he did it, but he pulled away and glared at the person in the street as if he had interrupted them.

The footsteps fell away and Madara looked back at Leo, unsure of what to say. Sorry? I've wanted to do that for a while now? Are you okay?

He didn't have to think for long as Leo pulled him into another kiss, mumbling something under his breath that made Madara laugh into it.

They could deal with the details later.

NEW PHONE CASE ARRIVED TODAY!!!! I can FINALLY go back to having the same one I've had since approximately uhhh 2015? 2016??? I didn't have it for my last phone because the place I order cases from doesn't offer them for the Pixel 6a, and I haven't found anywhere else reliable that custom prints heavy duty cases that I like.

BUT!!!!! I got a Pixel 8 Pro this week, and they do make them for it, so here I am!!! WE ARE SO BACK!!!

Wow, I'm having so much fun going through the Enstars stories for my darlings from Ryuseitai!!! 😊 I've heard a lot of good things about this Meteor Impact story, apparently it's one of the most popular stories from the original game? Ooh, and it's centered on Chiaki and Kanata meeting for the first time and forming the Ryuseitai we know now? Hey, maybe I should check out this one next then!

......You know what, maaaaaaybe I'll hold off on this one for now.....

Day 2

Madara couldn’t sleep. Leo had fallen asleep soon after they finished cleaning up, clinging to Madara’s arm as if he’d disappear when the sun came up. Maybe he was right. Madara sat up and gently pulled Leo off his arm. He walked over to the bathroom and shut the door before turning on the light. 

He was blinded by the sudden brightness but it did nothing to chase away the thoughts racing through his head. Failure. Dangerous. Cold. How could someone like Leo… He turned on the sink and splashed water on his face. The cold water shocked him awake but it cleared his mind for the time being. It was always the same after a night with Leo, no matter what they did Madara would be bogged down by his thoughts. He was putting Leo in danger by being so close to him. He couldn’t help but chase that warmth. 

The scars that littered his body were some of Leo’s favorite things, his fingers would idly trace over them when they were alone together. Madara had grown used to them, having a more ambivalent relationship with them now than he used to at least. The water was still running. 

The door opened. Someone’s hands covered his and shut the water off. They wrapped their arms around him and nuzzled into his back. It was Leo, tracing lazy music notes over Madara’s stomach, asking him to come back to bed. Madara turned off the lights. Leo untangled himself from Madara and he missed the warmth immediately. 

Madara knew that Leo chose to be with him, chose to take that risk because he cared about him. The quiet affirmations from him said as much, the way his hands would ease the tension from Madara’s back, his voice brought him back to his senses after a long day. Madara would protect that light no matter what, but that light wanted to protect him too. 

They got back into bed, Madara allowing Leo to pull him into his chest, caressing his hair and whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
