She puts down the book she was reading and laughs slightly as gestures to her to sit on her lap "Because Uncle Shanks sometimes does things without thinking, aren't the best decisions he takes, little one, and papa worries" Carefully ruffles her icy blue hair "Come on, let's ask him if he wants the three of us to take a nap together"

“How many times do I have to remind you, captain, to not wander around naked on our ship in the mornings! I don’t care about your captain’s privilege or how early it is, we have an innocent child here now, my child!” Kaito continued yelling at Shanks about his morning habits, even with Shanks trying to reason with him that Kaito was actually the only one who’d wake up that early anyway. 

“Jeez!” With his lecture over, Kaito turned to storm off, expression softening at seeing his family. “Sorry, that was not papa’s finest moment...” he admitted with a sigh, ruffling his daughter’s hair to reassure her. “But a nap does sound good, as long as you both want to as well.”
