I had a bunch of watercolor paper , so old it had yellowed around the edges. So I trimmed out the good parts and use it now and then. This is one of a few Oona paintings I did , very small & quick. Cave bunny ink drawing , about 8.5"x5.5". If I can't find the original , I'm going to try coloring a laser print on cardstock with my Copics. Some of you don't remember when markers were vastly inferior to watercolor but the gap has been closing recently. Watercolors are still kinda unbeatable , but I find markers work across a broader range of paper types and so are probably more versatile. Hm. Chris Sanders did bunches of storyboard sketches for the first Croods movie that might be the most gorgeous I've ever seen. His version of protagonist Eep was completely different than what appeared in the movie & of course was much better. I wanted to simply copy Chris' drawings so badly. Inks on my Tara drawing. This is a substantially reworked drawing from an old sketchbook. It happened to be on some very nice 100% cotton stationery I pulled from a recycling bin so it took ink quite well. Tara from Hannah- Barbera's Herculoids cartoons. Tara & yesterday's post of Sheera both happen to be characters designed by the late great Alex Toth , one of those classic illustrators who really had a good hand at drawing attractive women. Sheera, from the Hannah- Barbera cartoon Mightor. Daughter of the chief of their cave dwelling tribe , she never had a particularly likeable personality. Very critical of Tor , who would disappear during danger to become the superpowered Mightor and save the day.
