More Sea Serpent Hobie thoughts!
(been thinking about this au all day, it's completely consumed my mind!)
I was kinda toying with the idea of Hobie being able to take a human form. (In this version most people wouldn't know that sea serpents exist so he uses it as a way to interact with humans without revealing his true nature to them)
He visits a small local fishing village from time to time to hang out with the locals- mostly at the pub, but he also likes hanging around at the harbour
Cause he just gets lonely sometimes and humans make fun company- he finds tales about daring trips to sea entertaining, but he also loves to hear stories about places from far within the mainland as he's always stayed close to the ocean.
Nobody in the village knows what he really is- they all just think he's this odd but kind loner who visits from time to time.
He's well renowned by the people in the village, both for being a nice and helpful guy and because of his unique skills*
He never pays for anything in cash but instead in old trinkets and treasures he finds while out at sea - this resulted in a few arguments at first, but now people have come to accept it, some even look forward to seeing what he'll pull out as payment whenever he visits
if he doesn't have any treasure to pay with he'll offer to pay in favours- specifically favours that involve diving.
*If you need a diving job done he's your guy
He can stay underwater forever and go far deeper than any of the locals.
So if you need to retrieve something from, let's say a sunken ship, he's your guy!
He insists on going on missions alone- it's just easier to get it done if he can dive unseen in his serpent form.
The only people he doesn't get along with are authority figures and whalers!
There aren't any whalers residing in the village but sometimes a whaling boat will come by to restock. Every time they do Hobie terrorizes the crew as much as he can get away with. While also being very vocal about his opinion of them in general. He's gotten in fights with them more than once.
It's also not unusual for the whalers to find their ship vandalised if they stay overnight.
When he's in his human form he lives on a small island near the village, but far enough away that he can't be seen changing from serpent to human form and vice versa
He has a small hut where he keeps some fishing equipment (mostly for show in case a human comes by and wonders how he's able to feed himself on this tiny island) as well as a small garden where he grows different greens.
He'll trade his food for stuff with the villages, he mostly trades for clothes, sewing equipment or beer at the pub
Sometimes he'll disappear at sea for weeks at a time- if any of the villagers question him about it he'll just say he was out fishing- despite him only owning a small rowboat with a small engine, that doesn't work half the time. - He uses it to get to and from the island in human form as to not alert the villagers to his true form.
At some point he befriends Gwen**, who's a newcommer, when a local overhears her lamenting the loss of her mother's trinket at sea, and they suggest she asks Hobie for help- since the guy has a way of finding things lost at sea
Gwen doesn't really believe he can actually find it but seeks him out nonetheless cause it can't hurt to ask
Hobie accepts the job. In exchange he wants Gwen to tell him about the places she's been to before she moved to the village.
(** you can kinda replace Gwen with any character you want. I'm kinda considering making a small fic for this au where the reader takes Gwen's place, but I don't have the time nor energy to write it any time soon. Also I've never written a fic from the first person point of view so I'm not sure how it would turn out lol.)
Lemme know what you guys think! 💙Any input is welcome- it can be world building stuff, story stuff, ideas for hobie's serpent form or something else!

ace hang plays secret heroes: the d&d campaign
(Lily’s a tiefling rogue, Brid’s a half-elf paladin, Val’s an half-elf wizard, and Arthur’s a dwarven barbarian. Based on this scene.)
DM: At last, it is the night of the trip overseas. You’re standing near the dock with all of your luggage. The boat is ready to leave whenever you are. So... you’ve already made preparations, so what do you do?
Brid: I guess we start putting our luggage on board.
DM: Okay. Anyone packing anything heavy?
(Everyone is quiet)
Arthur: Like, besides our weapons? Because I have a warhammer-
Val: Didn’t we have a donkey?
Lily: We sold the donkey.
-----
DM: Okay, roll me a perception check.
Lily: *rolls dice* 9.
DM: Okay, never mind.
Val: Oh god. We’re about to get ambushed, aren’t we?
-----
DM: The captain stands by the wheel. “Ready to go, me hearties?”
Lily: “Me hearties”? What are you, a pirate?
DM: Was that in character?
Lily: You fucking bet it was.
-----
DM: As Grustat is about to board... Lily, roll me a perception check.
Lily: *rolls dice* 15.
DM: You sense something behind you. Someone is following you.
Lily: Ah, shit, guys, an ambush.
Brid: I have darkvision.
Lily: I too have darkvision.
Arthur: I... think I do.
Val: I do.
DM: *sigh* You see two humanoid figures in the bushes. They’re sneaking around, keeping an eye on you.
Lily: Uh, fuck this shit, let’s just leave.
DM: ...
Val: No, I wanna fight them.
Brid: We’re on a rickety dock and two of us are wearing heavy armor, I don’t think that’s a good idea.
Arthur: I second that.
DM: Technically, only one of you-
Val: ... Yeah, let’s just hop on and get the driver to go. Okay, I run to the wheel and tell the driver we’re being followed.
DM: Okay, roll me a charisma check.
Val: *rolls* 19.
DM: *sigh* “Yarr, we’re being trailed, eh? Come, hide in the back! I shall lose them!” With that, he starts up the boat and it starts heading away from the dock. It’s only a few feet away when one of the figures emerges- a dragonborn.
Brid: What color?
DM: Red.
Lily: Shit, we’re on a wooden boat.
DM: Okay, everyone, roll for initiative.
-----
Lily: I’m still hiding.
DM: Okay. The dragonborn goes after Morgan and *rolls* hits... for *rolls again* 4 damage.
Val: Why me?
Brid: Well, Lily- I mean, Kory- is, well, hiding, Grustat’s a freakin’ barbarian, and who’s gonna mess with a goddamn paladin with enough AC to survive a half a dozen zombies?
Val: To be fair, Verity did get crit for 16 HP during that tavern brawl.
Brid: Verity got crit for 16 HP during that tavern brawl and SURVIVED.
Val: Okay. I cast-
Lily: I got your back.
Val: I cast magic missile anyway, directing all three bolts at the dragonborn.
DM: *rolls 3d4* Ten damage. Nevertheless, the dragonborn seems unfazed-
Brid: I HIT IT WITH MY SWORD
DM: It’s not your turn yet-
Arthur: The dragonborn doesn’t have wings, correct?
DM: ...Yeah?
Arthur: I push it off the edge of the boat.
DM: ... Okay, let’s roll a grapple check.
Arthur: *rolls* 20.
DM: ... Okay, that’s an instant win.
Brid: NICE!
Lily: Didn’t get to burst him......
DM: You... push the dragonborn with your barbarian strength and he falls off the railing and into the dark sea. Uh, we’re five turns in... yeah, the boat would have moved away from the dock by now. Okay, yeah, he’s off the table.
*Everyone exchanges high-fives with Arthur*
DM: As the boat begins driving farther and farther away, you see the other silhouette launch itself into the sky. It’s a winged humanoid. It’s flying about thirty feet above you.
Brid: What kinda wings? Like, from the silhouette.
DM: Birdlike.
Val: *groan* I cast Magic Missile.
Lily: Crossbow.
Brid: Not wasting my javelins.
Arthur: Um... do I even have ranged weapons?
DM: .... Okay, well, assuming Kory’s still hidden, she has advantage.
-----
DM: It’s a calm morning on the high seas. What are you guys doing?
Lily: Playing solitaire.
Val: Reading one of my books.
Brid: Watching the seas.
Arthur: ... Doing push-ups?
DM: “Yarr! It seems we’re out of food, me hearties! Good thing I have some fishing rods!”
Brid: I cast “Create Food and Water”.
DM: ... “Yarr, I guess not. Thanks, lass.”
Brid: No problemo.
DM: The captain of the ship is performing the same ritual he was doing yesterday. Everything seems to be going normally until he stands up. “Yarr! We’re in trouble!”
Val: I ask him what’s up.
DM: “See here!” He gestures to the bowl of water he’s performing the ritual in.
Val: I look?
DM: Within the bowl, you can see many shapes. Most of them are fishlike... but there’s one that looks really weird. *draws a shape on paper* Like that. It’s swimming towards the floating compass, on the left side.
Lily: Uh... um... a dragon?
Brid: Looks like a Pokemon.
Arthur: I have no clue. Angelfish?
Val: *shrug*
DM: “Yarr! It’s getting closer! We best deal with it before it destroys the ship!”
Brid: I run outside.
DM: “It be on the starboard side!”
Lily: I hide.
Val: Of course you do...
DM: “It be five feet away from starboard, lass!”
Arthur: I join her.
Val: Eh, I’ll just hang back.
DM: Okay, so Verity and Grustat are on the deck, right? Okay, so the two of you hear a quiet bump on the side of the ship.
Brid: I glance over the edge of the ship.
DM: Floating there in the water is a pale-skinned merman with fluffy blonde hair, flawless skin, and sea-blue eyes. There is a blue tail where a human’s legs would be. For now, it looks surprised at seeing you.
Brid: I... say hi to it?
DM: It doesn’t say anything, it just cocks its head.
Arthur: I’m not going near that thing on account of wearing heavy armor.
DM: You’re wearing medium.
Lily: Still hiding.
Val: ... I’m just gonna walk out there next to them.
Brid: I attempt to communicate to it that i’m friendly, by reaching my hand out.
DM: Roll me a charisma check.
Brid: *rolls* 9.
DM: It inches closer to your hand and touches it carefully with its own.
Brid: I attempt to talk with it again. “Hey, sweetie! Nice to meet you!”
Lily: STILL HIDING
Val: Okay, I’m 90% sure that mermen have blue skin and not, um... pale... skin. So... I don’t think that’s a mermaid.
DM: Roll me an arcana check.
Val: *rolls* 12.
DM: You’re doubtful, but you can’t shake the possibility that it’s not a real merman. You’ve never seen one before, anyway. Anyway, the merman begins to play with Varity’s hand and rub it against his face.
Arthur: Does someone have a crush on you?
Brid: Maybe?
Lily: Still hiding.
Val: “Oh, come on out here, you coward!” I say that in character.
Lily: I silently give Morgan the middle finger. I’m not giving up my advantage roll for shit, okay?
DM: You know the deck doesn’t have see-through railings and you can just sneak behind the crates, right?
Lily: Fine, I do that then. I sneak between the crates and the railing.
DM: ... Anyway, Brid, you’re interacting with the merman. What next?
Brid: I attempt to say something again. “Can you speak to me?”
DM: The merman continues fondling your hand. It seems to have taken a liking to you, and gazes up at you fondly.
Arthur: Awwww!
DM: It then releases your hand, grabs the railing, and climbs up the side of the boat.
Lily: I cast mage hand and push him off.
DM: ... Why?
Lily: Kory’s kind of an asshole.
DM: Wait, can mage hand-
Lily: It can lift ten pounds, right? So, I should be able to shove him.
DM: .... The merman lets out a squeak and falls back into the water.
Brid: Why the fuck would you do that?!
Lily: In character, I shrug.
Brid: In character, I call you an asshole. And then I apologize to the poor boy.
DM: He pops his head out of the water again. However, the moment he does so, you hear an explosion. It sounds like it’s coming from the bottom of the boat. When the merman hears the explosion, he disappears underwater.
Lily: I’ll go check. I stay ducked and run to the trapdoor.
Brid: Noooo! My friend!
DM: Okay, Lily, do you open the trapdoor?
Lily: Yeah.
DM: There is a hole in the hull of the ship. It’s not very big right now, but water is slowly filling up the basement.
Lily: Oh, shit.
DM: What are the rest of you doing out on the deck?
Brid: Looking for my friend.
Arthur: Panicking.
Val: Hey, where’s the captain, anyway?
DM: The captain runs out onto the deck. “Yarr! We’ve been breached! What be the cause?!” Suddenly, a figure pops up above the railing, grabs the captain, and slits his throat with a dagger. It’s your merman friend. And he’s got a pair of legs instead of a tail this time.
Lily: I knew he was evil!
Brid: Oh, come on! He must have a reason!
Arthur: You get way too attached to fictional characters.
DM: “Now I’ve got you right where I want you. Oh, and the flashy girl over there? You’re adorable.”
Brid: I was this close to getting a boyfriend.
DM: Okay, roll for initiative, everyone.

First off, thank you for always indulging my silly questions. Second, I have a new one, lol. Blame it on too much free time on my hands. Since the Hellboy comics seem to imply a zombie apocalypse ending to the universe, how do you think Nuada would deal with the new development? Would the plague affect Fae as well? Or the general fauna and flora? Would Nuada fight the zombies, join humans in their efforts?
No problem! Your questions aren’t silly, they’re actually quite good! I think this one got buried in my AskBox though, so I’m sorry if this reply is super late. =(
So… you are kinda gonna be sorry you asked, because I am a zombie apocalypse enthusiast, haha, and this might be super long. I am a huge fan of the Resident Evil games and movies, all the Night of the Living Dead movies and their various future incarnations, the Left 4 Dead games, the 28 Days/Weeks Later movies, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, a number of viral/nuclear/magical zombie B-movies I’ve seen haha, and even non-traditional zombie-like worlds and themed media like The Crazies, The Happening, Silent Hill, [REC] and its American remake Quarantine, etc. The only popular zombie media I haven’t gotten involved in are World War Z and The Walking Dead. So I’m fairly well versed in zombies apocalypses, their causes, and how they affect various living things.
In a general sense, I think Nuada would be fine as far as surviving being attacked by zombies. He’s got plenty of weapons and plenty of skills, so I don’t see him becoming zombie dinner. He would also be very smart about where and when he sleeps and I feel like he would be able to keep himself pretty safe most of the time.
Having said that, if he is capable of becoming “infected” by whatever is causing the outbreak, then he might have a problem. Actually, two problems. First of all, he does not use ranged weapons. He uses daggers, swords, and spears. Those are… not what you want to be using against zombies. Well, I mean, use whatever you have in an emergency, haha, but ideally, you want weapons that will cause blunt force trauma to the head, or you want guns. Slicing and stabbing weapons will spread contagious blood everywhere and increase your chances of infection. Even if he doesn’t get blood splattered in his mouth and eyes while he fights (which is likely) he might accidentally infect himself while cleaning zombie blood off his weapons later on.
That’s the first issue. The second is that Nuada honestly probably does not know about or understand bacteria and viruses and microorganisms. Maaaaybe he knows of their existence? But he wouldn’t know how to protect against them as far as contagious infection. It’s not like he would practice good handwashing, use antibacterial/antiviral soap, and remember to never wipe contagious blood on his clothes when cleaning weapons. He probably also wouldn’t know to not touch infected corpses, even just to move them somewhere or check their clothes, etc., with his bare hands. So he may be exposing himself to a lot more danger of infection than the average human for that reason.
Now… the question as to whether a plague that results in human zombies would also result in zombie fae, or would affect plants and animals, is far more complicated. Let’s just break everything down and work through this, shall we? XD
Of course, if your zombie apocalypse is caused by some sort of necromancer’s spell or shady nuclear accident, haha, then only those affected by the magic/meltdown would turn into zombies. Magic and nuclear radiation aren’t “contagious,” they only affect unfortunate individuals who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, or the butt of a necromancer’s bad mood. But assuming we’re dealing with something contagious and microbial, let’s continue on.
Although, the original Night of the Living Dead was very sketchily defined, with some “strange phenomenon” or “radiation” potentially causing it, and yet the zombies were highly contagious. Of course, the true cause was never really defined, and it may very well have been some sort of virus anyway. Romero kindof left hings very open, which was all part of the mood of the whole thing.
Humans vs. fae. I would think… that flesh and blood humanoids might be affected in similar manners by bacteria and viruses. So, as long as you’re not plant-based or reptilian or dragonian or anything that would have an entirely different biology than flesh and blood humans or elves, you might be susceptible to infection. I would think that this would also extend to trolls, ogres, and orcs, so long as the microbe causing everything is not very specific. If it is specific enough to only infect humans, then elves probably wouldn’t be infected. It would depend upon the nature of the microbe.
If you get something like the rage virus in 28 Days/Weeks Later, or something like kuru or mad cow disease caused by a prion, or a virus that functions similarly to rabies like in [REC] and Quarantine, then it may be very contagious yet nonspecific, affecting all living mammals equally. The symptoms of the infection, the gestation period, and the mortality may vary by species, but infection would still probably proceed, but would be limited to flesh and blood mammals. Cold-blooded organisms and plant-based organisms would not be affected.
In this case, though, the infected would not result in true undead zombies, they would just be infected humans until they die somehow. However, if you have something like the highly versatile and mutagenic T-virus from Resident Evil, now you’re in deep shit, heh. It’s highly contagious and can infect ANYTHING. Because of what it is, a DNA virus that is highly efficient in what it does and can cause uncontrollable mutation in hosts beyond their original forms, the virus can cross species and infect all living things. Granted, it seemed to only kill plants (there weren’t like… mutated sentient trees walking around hahaha), but it did kill animals like dogs and crows in addition to humans, and turn them into true undead zombies. So this is worst case scenario, right here, haha.
With something that infects everything and has the ability to keep the dead animated past their demise (and keeping their contagious nature), I would say that something like the T-virus would screw everybody over and infect elves, other fae, other non-humans, dryads, fairies, orcs, trolls, bark children, ogres, nymphs, mermaids, unicorns, and anything else that it damn well wants to infect. Pandemonium resulting from a true pandemic, heh. Extinction level pandemic, most definitely, for all species on earth.
I think Nuada would do his best to first protect his own people. But… since he is the last warrior of his kind, I think he would only be able to do so much before his people just died off. What’s interesting about this scenario is that.. he would have to guard Nuala like a freaking hawk because if she dies, he dies. So her not being a warrior at all is a serious problem for him. I think he might try to force her to become one out of necessity.
But once things got really bad… we’re talking a good 3-5 years out from initial infection where the whole world is just dying, his worst fears have already come true. Most of his people are dead, the world is irrevocably destroyed, almost all species are extinct, so… I forsee only two options for him, one of which might not be voluntary…
One is that he becomes very ill and passes away. Honestly, like… he might become so saddened by what has happened to the world and might not see what he is even supposed to be fighting for anymore, that he might slip into something like the Iron Malady and die. Assuming he can keep his spirits up enough to avoid this, let’s move on to the second option.
Yes. Eventually, long after it really mattered and long after everyone and everything (or close to it) he cared about was already gone, he would help humans if he found them. I think he would eventually get kinda lonely, heh, but beyond that, he wouldn’t see the point in being angry at them anymore. Most of them are dead too. It’s just kindof like welp… we’re all fucked so there’s no use in belly-aching. Here’s how we’re going to survive, so do what I say, haha. I can see him trying to become a leader among humans, and among any non-humans who may have survived. He may just end up wanting to band together whatever survivors he can to prevent all life from dying.
I hope I covered all aspects of what you were asking, but if I didn’t, feel free to ask more questions! This was cool, I hadn’t thought about this myself, heh. Nuada in a zombie apocalypse thing………. I would LOVE to do that with someone. XD

Verses and AUs (Long Edition)
All these AUs can work with either Host or Author. I’ll write down only the Host option, though in the Human AU Author’s human name is also stated.
Most of these verses have been made from my old version of Host. Said Host is small, sort of depressed, pretty sad and soft. So the opposite of the new revamped Host. There might be differences in how I write Host due to having those two versions of Host.
I’ll make a second page for verses keeping my old version of Host in mind, which will be linked with every AU that has it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Human AU [Second Version]
Host is named Markus Barker. Sometimes uses Host as nickname.
He is either: Born blind (sclera/pupil milky).                       Blind due to a disease (Neuromyelitis Optica).
He lives on his own with his pets. He either:     Lives in his cabin in the forest.                       Lives on the outskirts of town with a garden.
He has an older brother (Arthur, world-wide known author).
He works on a rather popular podcast as main-narrator. He also either: Works at a radio station.                    Stays at home (financial help from his brother).
Can also go with human Author, the aforementioned brother of Host.
Both can also exist without brother.
Human Slave AU:
Host is named Markus Barker. Host is his nickname though
He is either: Born blind (sclera/pupil milky).                       Got his eyes gouged out by an owner.
He had been sold as slave when he had been a young child (around 4 y/o?).
Medieval AU: [Second Version]
Host is named Markus Barker.
He’s a servant for a noble household, with bad eyesight. He hates it there, but there’s nothing he can do if he doesn’t want to end up on the street. Even if that means being treated like dirt.
Royal AU: [Second Version]
Host is named Markus Barker.
He’s a rather young king (20-25) because his parents died in a tragic “accident”.
He’s rather strict, but very open-minded and protective of his kingdom.
He is as good as blind, only able to see colours and shapes, due to an accident as child.
in case of magic, his situation with Alden is pretty much the same, though they keep it hidden.
Neko AU: [Second Version]
He is named Host (by his mother)
He is 2'4"
He was born blind (sclera/pupil milky).
He is biologically female but identifies as male.
He was taken away from his mother from a very young age (too young to be taken away from his mother).
His first real owner mistreated him terribly.
He’s angry at the world and hates people, not afraid of them even with his very small size.
Broken Host AU:
This Host is based on the old fandom interpretation after MarkiplierTV:
Dark is at cause for taking Author’s eyes, in exchange for power.
Due to that Host is one of Dark’s “pawns” and is forced to tell him about visions and things in the future as soon as possible.
Due to basically abuse he was mentally broken by Dark.
He is extremely obedient to Dark.
He’s covered in scars and brandings (burn scars).
He doesn’t speak a lot.
He gets lost in his head, and especially in his narrations, a lot.
Angel AU:
Host is named Markus (he was once human).
His pupils are white (eyes usually covered up by a cloth)
He is a collector of souls from dying people.
He can see the souls of living beings with his eyes uncovered (but not allowed to do so technically).
His wings are white, the feather-tips golden.
Knows English more or less.
Mermaid AU: (other versions depending on size!)
Host goes by the name of Host.
He had almost been caught once by humans, which resulted in the loss of his eyesight, and thick scars over his eyes.
His scales are golden. His fins are slightly see-through, and tipped green. His ears are fins. He has fins on his underarms. He has scales on his shoulders and arms.
He has scales that glow in the dark, and markings on his face which also glow in the dark (not visible unless glowing)
He’s a siren, and thus can speak and understand English.
Underwater mermaids communicate via clicking sounds (kinda like morse code, but different).
Fairy AU: (Basically an OC shhh) (More extra info here)
Host is named Rhosyn, but may go by the name Host as well.
He is a (flower) fairy.
He can change his size, between 0.5 inches and 3 feet.
His wings are large and slightly see-through. Golden in colour, with intricate swirls covering them.
(The rest of his looks)
He lives in a small flower field he takes care of by himself.
He is blind, but has learned to see magic.
Every living thing (from humans, to fae, to plants) have magic to some amount, which he can see and tell what he is looking at.
Harpy AU
Host has no name he goes by, but will let anyone name him
He is 8 inches tall
He’s a brown thrasher harpy
He has slightly darker skin (than Mark), short, like brown fuzz on his head resembling hair; white feathers with dark spots on his chest and hips down his thighs, where his legs then turn into bird’s feet; dark brown, almost black eyes. His wings have light brown feathers.
He mainly eats fruits, berries, nuts and insects
He isn’t afraid to attack anything larger than him, going so far as to attack humans if he has to
Forest Deity AU (It’s basically an OC shh)
Host goes by the name Elvin, since the forest he lives in is called Elvin Forest (Elvin means friend of elves)
He’s 5'3 tall
He has long dark brown hair, reaching his mid-back. His eyes are the color of tree resin/amber, the colour looking different depending on the light. He has “antlers”, long branches growing from his head and upwards. They change with the season; growing leafs and flowers; but are always decorated with little trinkets. He’s always bare-footed.
He is “bound” to one tree, which would hurt and kill him if it were chopped down. But he is also the heart of the forest, feeling with it, and it feeling with him
He has magical powers, and can talk to plants, trees and animals
For the people he is something of a myth: some people pray to him, some people ask for help or advice, some don’t believe in him
Fused AU:
Host isn’t a regular ego but also is an ego
TBH I’m uncertain about the lore of this either I’d say all egos are fused or this is a punishment made by Dark or smth
Host is “fused” with his recording equipment
Headphones always on his head, microphone in a metal mask strapped over his mouth
A rig on the back of his chair connected to his arms and hands which controls his movement. He can’t stand up
(Inspired by this drawing, and how he looks like in the AU)
Little Demon AU:
Host is a demon, still called Host
He is 7 inches tall
He has dark purple horns and two tails, and no bandages, but keeps his eyes closed
Looking into his eyes will cause the looker to be pulled into their own mind and be faced with their deepest and darkest fear
Host will be able to see that and interact with the person there, but also leave them there alone to suffer
He can “teleport” short distances, mostly through shadows
Doll AU: / It’s basically an OC shhh
Host is called Benjamin
He is a porcelain doll, 20 inches tall
He is typically asleep, and only comes to life and awakens after 4-5 days of constant care and love towards him
He stays alive through the love and care and want to have him alive from his owner, but also needs to be near them
If left alone and too far away from his owner for too long, his energy will slowly vanish throughout a few days. Making him tired, sluggish, and slow, until he can’t manage to walk anymore, and then can’t keep his eyes open
He was made in 1667 and has been with 19 different people/families throughout his life
A/B/O AU: [Second Version]
If human, Host goes by Markus Barker, Host as a nickname.
He’s a little feminine looking, but due to his height, no one suspects he’s anything but an Alpha.
He’s an Omega. Takes suppressants and scent-blockers to hide this status though.
Child Host AU:
Normal Host technically, but Host is a child now.
He’s 3'3".
He looks the exact same pretty much.
He doesn’t have any memories of being an adult.
Alden is also affected by this, and is brought to a more child-like state.
Asylum AU
Host goes by the name The Host
He is locked in a cell because of hallucinations and unreliable behaviour
Eyes AU
Host still has his eyes
Author was actually more timid and nice and not lusting after power
Dark absolutely hates him because Host doesn’t let himself be manipulated
(Inspired by this picture)
Swap AU
Host is swapped with Dark
He is monochrome. He wears a black trenchcoat and black tights, as well as knee-high black combat boots. He has a bright strand of hair, no eyes, and bandages around his eyes.
Here’s some info about the swap AU and Host’s backstory
He is called Darkiplier in this AU (pronounced Dark-eplí-er? sorta french lol)
He talks in third person as a comfort mechanism
He doesn’t really have a goal like normal Dark (getting revenge on Actor) but he takes care of the other egos and keeps them safe and in check
He does his radio show still, but has no narrating powers
Forest Creature AU
Host had died in the forest wishing to be a part of it
He is still humanoid, but he is covered in moss, leafs, plants, etc, growing all over him. Flowers grew over his blind eyes.
He fell in love with Edward Iplier, but he died in his arms. He is alone.
Banished Author AU
Author was banished into the void by Dark due to Dark believing Author would grow to become very dangerous towards himself and others
He had been stuck in the void, all by himself, for years
Being stuck in the void, he doesn’t physically age, and has no bodily needs
The void seeped into him, mixed with him, changing him
While he still has his powers of writing, and they are still primarily that, the void is a part of him now in a way
Little Space: (nsfw-ish)
Normal verse Host
In headspace he’s either around 1 year or around 4-6 years old
He usually is alone in his room to be little on his own
He largely prefers to be diapered and wear soft clothes
