My “controversial” opinion for Welcome Home for me is just the OCs I’ve seen.

I noticed a lot of the fandom (And again: I’m not meaning to be mean, this is just a trend I’ve seen a lot continuously and it’s getting kinda weird) ships OCs shipped with Wally…always have a sad or traumatic backstory that revolves around their EX or their parents.

Like: “My parents abused me” or “My ex is a crazy psycho narcissist.”, I know abusive parents and crazy EXs are a real thing. BUT it seems like everyone has OC that suddenly had a bad childhood, family issues, crazy exes and is dating Wally???

It’s become so common that I’m concerned if people are only hurting their OCs cause “It’s cool and everyone is doing it!” (I deadass met someone who’s said that before when I asked why they put their OCs through it💔😭)

So I’m asking, has everyone else seen this trend inside the fandom? Or am I just going crazy again—

OCs who is married/dating Wally describing their problems: “My parents are abusive and I have a crazy ex on my back!”
