caurin, besides the pay, what keeps you coming back to your job, and if you really can't think of anything else what would your dream job be?

“I mostly work this job for my mom. The pay is good, don’t get me wrong, but… I’m just not cut out for it.”

“If I could work my dream job though, it would be in zoology and lusus biology. I used to want to be in that kind of stuff before my mom dropped this job on me.”

I think he’d run someone a bath or offer to make them food afterwards, but most often he ends up cuddling with them in bed and praising them i think

Caurin, if you had a big secret and you had to tell it to someone you knew but could also only tell it to one person, who would you choose to tell it to?

“Well, I know plenty of people I wouldnt be able to hide a secret like that from, like my dad because of his psionics, or my moirail because of hers so… I guess it’d be one of them, for sure.”

“I mean, I trust my dad with a lot, sure, but I guess it’d depend on the kind of secret it is. If it’s something serious, it’s just a matter of time before he finds out about that kind of thing… And the same thing with my moirail, I guess.”

“But, um… those two notwithstanding, I guess I’d pick someone like Xizaya. They’re able to keep some pretty impressive secrets, and the only reason I know about some of them is because I can hear them sometimes.”

“But he doesn’t know that, and I don’t think I’ll tell him anytime soon. I mean, he’s really, really paranoid as is. I don’t know how it’d affect him to get told ‘hey, yeah, I’ve been in your head for the past however many months we’ve been sort-of-friends.’”

“It’s a friendship-ending-thing at best. He might kill me at worst.”

“I was busy with my own injury. I would’ve been there if I could have.”

“I’m thankful Koda has been taking care of him, but I feel like I’m making him shoulder al of this by himself.”

“But I’m hurt too, I can’t help him. I’d be more of a burden than anything…” He trails off and shifts uncomfortably.

“I’m sure Kat understands. Koda told him I was hurt too.”

“Yeah, I heard it was pretty bad. I was in the hospital around the time it happened.”

“I… havent seen him yet.”

“I don’t really… know anymore.”

“I think he put a pause on our whatever-the-fuck after he kept seeing me hurt, but he doesn’t really act like anything’s changed.”

“We’ve, like, talked about some of it. And we really needed to do that.”

“I try to keep in contact with him more now… and we’ve had some moments where it definitely feels like we might be more than just friends with benefits, but… I don’t know.”

“He used to get so skittish when stuff like that came up. I don’t really get what changed.”

“I mean, I’m not complaining. I think I’d like it if we had a more serious relationship.”

hey caurin! its been about a perigree since you've been taken in by crow, did you ever have any suspicions about him when you first met? how long did it take to warm up to him?

“Well, I thought he was going to kill me or something the first time I saw him because— you know, being possessed and all that. I can’t even call it ‘apprehensive,’ I definitely was scared shitless.”

“I don’t really remember anymore how long it took, but I’m glad we have a good relationship now.”

“He’s been there for me a lot more than my mom has. Which I appreciate a lot, but that has it’s downsides.”

“But she’s a lot more… aware of how she acts now than she was sweeps ago. I guess that’s all I could ask for.”
