It wasn't a surprise, really. Everyone left in the end. Even Rose, no matter what she promised. Even Rose as a Time Lady.

And he wasn't her Doctor anyways. She didn't even know who he was, not really. And he'd thought they were getting closer, but apparently...not.

"Sure," he said as he turned away from her, looking at the console. "Right then. Well. You can stay here for as long as you need, I'll just...stay out of your way. Or if you want me to take you somewhere, I can do that too. Just...let me know what you want."

....I'll go do that now. Sorry, I've been on the Doctor most of the night, Rose has been making me want to cry. And I'll try to figure out the Skype thing tomorrow, I think it's a problem with my Wifi but I don't feel like messing with the router right now.

Exploring Bhaile

Craptastic!

Aidan leaned against one of the tall trees and sighed.Certainly he was the greatest explorer in the history of ever, now wasn't he?But heading straight out into the blue had seemed like a good idea back then, really!

The basics had been given, after all: He would survive out there, the planet was home to sentient beings and he'd have more then enough time until sunrise to find them. He'd shied away from any more information because, really, he didn't want to "spoil the surprise".

So far he was barely even whelmed, though. Sure, strolling through an alien forest had it's charm, with all the strange plantlife and animals, the air filled with new scents and sounds and...It was gorgeous and he'd revelled in it at first. But after a while..... it was 'just another forest', seemingly endless, with it's critters fleeing from him and.... he realized that he'd really hoped... to meet people to interact with or at least study from afar.

Sooo taking at least a map with him might have been a good idea, actually. The thought of heading back now to fix that mistake was kinda embarrassing, but there was no point in straying through the forest all night. He might even get lost out here  and finding out that he'd just picked the wrong direction to begin with after hours and hours of frustration would make him feel even more stupid in the end.

So he headed back, but stopped dead after only a few steps. He'd heard something. Not much more than a soft rustling of the leaves, but.... he sensed that it wasn't just another animal, that he wasn't 'alone' any more. For a moment he just stood there, straining all of his senses, then he turned into the direction of the stranger and found..... a girl. Or young woman. Now that sight puzzled him. What was she doing in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, all alone?

She was still about 10 meters away, but he wondered why he hadn't sensed her earlier - had he been so lost in his own thoughts? He didn't really try to read her mind just yet, but he'd caught a glimps that told him that she.... had been looking for him. What?!

"Uhm.... hello there!"  he greeted, waving one hand to signal to her and hoping that she would interpret it as a friendly gesture, as he intended it to be.
