when bokuto invited you to the beach with his teammates, you were hesitant to accept

the only person you knew somewhat personally was akaashi, since you three would hangout all the time

plus, you were basically the polar opposite of bokuto, which meant that you didn’t immediately warm up to people

but he practically begged you to go and how could you say no to that cute face🥺

currently, you were sprawled out on the towel you brought for yourself and bokuto, clad in jean shorts and a t-shirt

you were sweating buckets so you decided to undress, you had a bikini underneath your clothes anyways

and the guys were playing beach volleyball, so it’s not like anyone was gonna notice... right?

well after you’d taken off your top and began to pull your shorts down your thighs, you could hear the entire team making their way over to you (as you all had set up your belongings in the same area)

quickly, you slipped off your shorts and sat criss cross on the towel

“[Y/NNNNN]!” a loud, whining voice called out

without giving you anytime to process, bokuto threw himself on top of you, causing you to fall over

“i’m thirstyyyy” he cried, pressing his face into your neck

your eyes widened at the display of affection, gently pushing him away

“idiot... you’re lucky i brought you a drink.” you teased, handing him the bottle of pocari sweat from your purse

“AHHAHHAHA LOOK!!! MY GIRLFRIEND BROUGHT ME A DRINK! YOU GUYS DON’T HAVE GIRLFRIENDS THAT BRING YOU DRINKS!”

you looked at him like🤨🤨 wondering wtf possessed him to even say that

as he sipped happily on the sports drink, hand snakes around your waist and ranting to akaashi about something you couldn’t quite catch, you observed the rest of his team sitting on their towels and gulping down their own drinks

“aaah, i forgot to bring my water and i don’t have any money...” your ears perked up at the sound of the person’s voice

you scanned the area, eyes falling upon wataru, who was empty handed. you felt bad

should i give him a drink?, you thought, mulling the idea over

it was hot and he had just played beach volleyball (which was much more tiring than regular volleyball) in the scorching sun...

it was as if your feet were moving on their own as you grabbed the bottled drink and moved away from bokuto’s grasp, not stopping until you reached your kouhai

“wataru-kun?” you mumbled quietly

his eyes trailed your exposed skin until reaching yours

you didn’t notice how the tips of his ears began to blush, or how his entire face was red

probably because yours was too... not because of him, but because that’s what happened when you talked to anyone who wasn’t in your immediate circle

you also didn’t notice how he was no longer looking into your eyes, but an area just below them

“eh... i heard you say that you forgot to bring a drink and i had an extra so... here you go!”

you extended your arm, waiting for him to accept it

you waited... and waited... and waited...

“wataru-kun?” you questioned, lowering your hand. god, did you just embarrass yourself?

it wasn’t until another first year (anahori, was it?) slapped the back of his head that he responded

“ah-thank you, [l/n]-senpai!” he blurted, grabbing the drink from your hand

you smiled, happily walking back to your seat

wait, where was bokuto?

you scanned the area to find bokuto a few feet away from his original spot, curled into himself and staring at the ocean

oh god, he was in his emo mode

“eh... akaashi? what happened to bokuto?” you whispered as to not alarm your boyfriend who could probably still here you

“wataru was staring at your chest and he got upset.” he replied in a monotonous tone

“AKAASHI!” you screeched, punching him in the shoulder. “why do you say things so bluntly? i’m going to go see if he’s ok.”

still embarrassed, you unconsciously crossed your arms

as you approached bokuto, you could practically feel the gloomy aura surrounding his form

“bokuto? are you alright?”

“i am a failure.”

“what? what do you mean?”

he turned to look at you, incredibly small and fully white eyes staring into your own

“another man was looking at my girlfriend inappropriately and i did nothing to stop it... i am a failure... you should breakup with me now.”

“man...? wataru-kun is a first year, bokuto. he’s 15. a child. and i’m sure he didn’t mean to offend me, i didn’t even notice. if he had given me any trouble i could have handled it myself.”

your words fell on deaf ears as bokuto day in silence, resembling the 😞 emoji

you reached your hands to cup his face, but he turned around dramatically

“don’t look at me, this is the face of a loser!”

ok now you were a little annoyed

you forcefully grabbed his face and turned it towards your own with such ferocity that bokuto thought he’d gotten whiplash

“BOKUTO, you’re my boyfriend. my handsome, talented, amazing, boyfriend. you’re one of the top five aces in the country. wataru-kun doesn’t even compare to someone like you. he’s just a boy, go out there and show him what a man is! how scary and powerful his captain is!”

in a flash, the dark and gloomy aura dissapeared and was replaced by bokuto’s usually energetic and friendly air

tendou had picked you up as promised and the two of you made your way to the beach together

the sun was relentlessly beating down on you two, so by the time you had reached your destination, you were already sweating

“ugh,” you whined in displeasure. “my skin’s already starting to feel hot. i’m just going to change here, ‘kay?”

“good idea” he responded, taking off his shirt

you stripped down to your bikini and stuffed your clothes in your bag, wiping the sweat from your forehead.

a low whistle sounded from tendou

“wow, [y/n]! look at you, semi is going to just eat you up!”

you scoffed, punching him in the stomach. even though you knew he didn’t mean it in a suggestive way, you hated when he teased you. he knew just how to push you buttons.

“i will literally kill you. now lets go meet up with the others, creep.”

he chuckled, but followed you nonetheless.

you smiled as you saw the entire shiratorizawa volleyball team sat in a circle, enjoying a picnic

“hey, you guys started eating without us?” tendou cried, rushing past you to seat himself next to ushijima

you walked past the team, responding to their greetings with a smile and wave before stopping behind semi, lowering yourself to wrap your arms around him

Infinity? I love love love this so much. already a fave. already a fave since baek sang the intro and the wayv motif appeared. (I'm explaining later on what I mean with that) it has speed and THE CHOIR PARTS gosh I love the vibe and the powerful feel and all the layers of sounds. BAEK LOW NOTES YESYESYES I AM LIVING. and the outro is so niiice too

Monster? yES I love the intro soooo much taemin slays as usual and it fits so well when you come from the Infinity outro. Lucas rap (the numb part) YES~ I love how this slaps in a different way than Infinity. it's a bit calmer but feels a bit more dangerous than powerful. am I even making sense lol? again nice sound layer. Drip gosh no. this will be sexy. of course it is sexy... Line 'Em Up the beat is very dancable. Latin vibes. but probably the same as with 100... OMG THE LUCAS PART but yeah a nice song but not really blowing me away if you get what I mean.

Dangerous Woman (i know that one has been performed before but as with Tiger Inside I actually never watched this bc I always forgot or wasn't in the mood or didn't have time so yeah.. first listen opinion here.) the acapella part *^* oh damn I didn't expect it to be that kind of song. I expected something darker tbh xD but again a very easy-going beat that flows very well. could have also been a baekhyun solo song style-wise, I don't know how else to explain xD

Step Up totally different beat, the hook is very interesting because there are harmonies you don't really expect to happen. I like that. the flow is totally different from what we had before. I think I need a second time to get used to it but I think I will get into it easily then.

So Long we get calmer again I like it. compared to the darker and wilder sounds we have at the beginning of the album this is a nice contrast. I like the dreamy synth sounds. even though the beat gets heavier in the chorus part it's a chill song. THE BRIDGE. favourite part. it's the wayv melody line again. like if you listen to wayv title tracks you will notice it too. they have this special melody line there. it's also in 100. I love that they mix the styles so well.

With You cuteee~ we know that song already ^-^ so I know that it's a cute, upbeat one. danceable. very danceable. I am dancing while sitting again xD very easy-going, very easy flow, no complicated beats here - just a fun song ^^

THE MERE FACT THAT PARK JIMIN DID THE INTRO IS A1 FOLKS. You’re in the mood to cuddle? Serendipity. It’s raining and you feel Affectionate? Serendipity. You just wanna hear Jimin carry out the line “just let me love you” beautifully over a falsetto when you miss him? FUCKIN SERENDIPITY. 

Anyway melody wise it’s really simplistic, something I really love!!! in songs. It’s not complex or something that’ll have you...up? If that makes sense? Lol there’s a genre of music called minimalistic and it’s completely different to this, it’s more random and very spontaneous so it’s nothing like Serendipity but ya know simplistic, minimalistic... :D

anyway it’s really calming and soothing to listen to, with some minor chord changes and the highlight being Jimin’s voice so I for sure love <333333

Of course, before you wonder why I haven’t mentioned Jungkook, it’s because I don’t need to say it: his vocals are on fucking point. In every song, when it’s his lines and his moment, he owns it, like you just know “yeah that’s Jungkook murdering me right now what a blissful death!” 

Also the way they sing this song, drawled out and swung just brings forth a lot of envy and pride from me, because singing with that style--all swung and drawled out--while holding out your vibrato and making sure your diction is good is hard and they make it sound so easy, like I stan vocal kings wow??

Melody wise, it’s the kind of song that’ll be stuck in my head all day and I don’t think I’ll ever want it out tbh. The production behind this was aimed at a certain criteria and they definitely hit it. I won’t go into a ramble about all the stuff I can pick out, I’ll just tell you that it’s beautiful and I love it and I could only hope to produce music to such calibre. <333333

do I even need to comment on this?

More than being an ARMY and stanning such a wonderful group of hard-working, humble, wonderful men, as an Asian it was such a Moment for me to see them win? Namjoon’s speech was brilliant, their faces were so adorable and they looked so happy it was worth getting up at two in the morning on a school day to watch it like i literally did not care and i was smiling the whole day after 

Growing up, I watched a loooot of cartoons and T.V shows and I never really saw Asians take lead roles and do heroic things as much as I’d have liked to. I cherished Mulan, Pocahontas, Jungle Book and the likes because it was the closest I got to seeing characters (esp. females for the first two!!) from diverse backgrounds doing heroic things

that pride seeped into that day for sure, I was so beyond proud that they got the recognition that they deserved. 

it sucks that it opened a gateway for award shows (no shade hahaha :D) to milk the shit out of them for views and such, but the bigger impact that it had will stick with me for long, long time. I hope that there’ll be more POC representation in the Western world, because skin colour will never define who gets to be a hero and who doesn’t.

First I want to clarify I’m Biracial (black/white) and I’ve suffered from some gross racist shit in the past but in no way am I trying to speak over Korean struggles regarding the topic. I tried to apply my own experiences to Jerome’s life like struggling with rejecting culture, European beauty standards, internalized colourism and just growing up not being able to talk to people going through the same stuff. My life hasn’t been as crazy as Jerome’s thank god but I just wanted to clarify before you dive into this or his biography. Wow, heavy. I’m sorry lol. Mom got persuaded by her family to put him on adoption because she wasn’t married and dead beat dad just left her when it was discovered she was with child. He got adopted at the age of two by a Franco/Anglo couple who reside in France.

Adoptive parents have a bad case of the yellow fever.

Raised in France multilingual (French, English) Also Korean but when he got older he got really reluctant to it. Only when he met Marie he got into it again and then he went to Korea. So he would still make mistakes. 

He was named after his adoptive grandfather Jérôme Gauthier Senior and Leslie Cheung, the singer and actor. His birth name is Jeon Jun-Hoe. (but he doesn’t know his birth name)

When growing up he was often seen as “other” by classmates in a negative racist way and by his parents in a “positive” racist way. (note; positive in this sense doesn’t mean it was good for him, it was terrible for him. What I mean with “positive racism” is instead of viewing a race in a negative light (e.g. black people are all lazy) the subject is seen in a positive light that has negative connotations (e.g. Asian people are all hardworking). Even though hard working is a good attribute, it can cause negative feelings towards the person of that certain race. Fetishizing a culture or a race is never okay and in Jerome’s story he still bares the scars of it. 

Finally didn’t feel like an other when he met his now best friend Freddy who introduced him to his own friends.

Got into Hiphop mostly because of his friend Freddy but started songwriting a year before that. (Outkast is his shit bro)

Started a hiphop trio with Freddy and another friend Khaled called Blanc.

People loved them tbh they were great.

Hiphop gave his life a purpose. An outlet if you will. He was quite the emo little shit when he was younger. (and understandably so. :( my son.)

Had a lot of fights w/ his parents.

Lived with his grandpa for awhile when he couldn’t bare to be in the same room as his parents, let alone the same house.

Eventually moved to Paris to pursue higher education.

Met the love of his life there. (Y O G A P A N T S) 

It was awkward but great.

Marie aka the love of his life went to the same school as him and they dated for a long time before she eventually cheated on him.

Before she cheated on him though she helped him accept his Korean heritage (something his parents stripped away from him due to them forcing it upon him.) 

Went to New York in the summer of 2012 and got offered a job at a major record label when the CEO heard his lyrics. 

His girlfriend cheated on him during that time and found out a few months later after he returned to France. Almost beat the shit out of the dude who she cheated on him with.

Got expelled from school because of that fight. (parents blamed the “violent” rap music) and because life felt meaningless in Paris. He grabbed his bags and moved to Seoul to work under the record label.

Asked his adoptive parents for his adoption papers in that time because he couldn’t find his birth parents without them. Parents basically refused and he just fell head first in work to forget that. He also drank a lot sometimes but only when stress got to him.

Eventually changed companies to write under BC Entertainment before they signed him to BCreate. (his honey voice was too much for KBC lmao no but really though)

Ex girlfriend made an appearance during his debut years. (*writes connection form ;)*) got like really emo and savage during that time. 

Now that he got moved to just the regular BC Entertainment he’s really nervous about the past haunting him. With more fame more eyes are on him and just one slip up could ruin his career. Having almost beaten someone up is a great first scandal. Misogynistic words to his ex is another (I mean he called her a whore tho. like boi.) and being adopted ? oh boi. my poor son.

Random facts!

I actually got inspired to write Jerome because I was struggling between Jooheon or Namjoon and I randomly started adding on an old muse of mine. 

Is connected to another muse of mine on my indie blog lol I’m like the Disney Channel I like to crossovers.

He has two tattoo’s, one on his right hip of a French Cavalry pistol because his grandfather had one in his antique shop *nudity warning* [x] [x] the model is Julian Schratter btw love him he’s great. And one which I’m still musing about. 

Dyed his hair pink to show support for female rappers as he’s now a producer/judge on Show Me The Money 6. You would think with his fuckboy image he’d be misogynistic but no women are great and he wants more women in the hiphop scene. His princesses are Jessi and Cheetah and his queen is Yoon Mirae tbh. He gets so excited when he hears good female rappers. 

Has a Oriental Short Hair as cat. Her name is Edith or Edi named after Edith Piaf, his grandfathers favourite singer. (here is how I see her [x] its a video) She’s like his true wife. If you ever catch him with her you might be confused at how cute Jerome suddenly is.

Looks down on idol rappers a lot. Not all of them (he’d be cool with rappers like Zico, Rap Monster, etc.), but just the manufactured ones. You know the ones that couldn’t sing so they debuted as a rapper, know nothing about hip hop. Those ones. Hiphop saved him in a way and to see pretty boys disrespect the art like that just rubs him the wrong way. He’s pretty vocal about it too and yo fans of groups drag him for it lol. It’s great I love it. 

The Weeknd is his favourite artist of this time. Like he has that image he tries to emulate. 

Is actually pretty sweet though. Like Marie and his parents fucked him up and with stress consuming him he’s kinda distant but get him comfortable and he’s a really kind soul. The kind of type to have you lay on his lap whilst you rant about your problems and he just listens.

Hates when foreign fans call him “oppa” like boi he will come for you. He once almost called out a girl doing that at the airport. He eventually just “tsk’ed” her as he walked to his car lol. Jerome is my idol. I’m srry KBC He’s not an idol he has a hard time controlling himself.

Has troubles dating so he doesn’t date at all. Like he really needs to fall for you to get him to start a relationship again but lol trust issues and a fucked up view of love kinda ruins him as a partner. I mean if your muse wanna try be my guest but GOOD LUCK lol.

Never dated a guy before because he only realized he was kinda bi when he was 19 and at the time he was in a relationship. And after that ended he went to Korea. So he only ever fucked with girls.

The story behind his “bi discovery” was thanks to the land of the free *eagle screeches in the background* basically he saw a guy and he was like “wow... ? what ?? okay.. ? you’re cute in like a ‘let me hold you and give you kisses’ kinda way ?? but you’re a dude?? o ?” but he never acted upon shit obviously. (COUGH ITS A PLOT COUGH) In hindsight he wishes he did something so he could’ve been like “I CHEATED ON YOU TOO YOU BITCH” but he’s a faithful boi. 

Hates liars. Please don’t lie to him. This isn’t for his sake but for your muses sake lmao he’s awful when he finds out. He holds a grudge.

Has a real bad self image due to years of racism thrown at him. Like complimenting him is like poison to him. Compliment his work not his looks. 

Contrary to popular belief, he doesn’t really sleep around a lot. His last sexual partner was probably before his debut tbh. 

Donates to the orphanage he was from secretly because he cares a lot. If the fame ever runs out he’d probably end up working there. 

Dig hard enough on youtube and you’ll find his old youtube channel where he uploaded covers and original songs together with Khaled and Freddy. It’s really nice. He seemed happy.

Is very suffocating when he cares. Like when he really likes you he’ll REALLY like you. You feel me? (he hasn’t learned from Marie because he never asked why she cheated on him? So IF he eventually becomes close to someone again, he might find himself in the same situation. C R I E S.)
