kane's relationship with drea goes against a lot of what castor taught him specifically. he learned from her that it's possible to be a strong person while also being traumatized and needing support which is...a lesson he's still working on applying to himself, but he's getting there. and also that sometimes your family just fucking sucks and it's fair to blame them for that instead of blaming yourself.
