So right off the bat, David, he's a Sole Survivor and Akuze is pretty much the single worst moment of his life. The amount of agonizing over if there's anything he could have done, if there was a way to avoid working with Cerberus after what they'd put him through is INSANE. If there's any one thing he could have changed it would have been not staying on that planet after investigating.

Cassidy looks back at her past with some disgust, looking at how xenophobic she used to be without even realising it. She wishes she could turn back time and not be racist to Wrex and Garrus after meeting them, or hit herself in the face and tell her to get some respect to other species.

And Cassidy on the other hand has long since worked through most of her issues and doesn't have regrets as to her past. She does have trouble connecting with other Alliance staff because of her upbringing, but she wouldn't change that even if she could.
