modern au Sunny and Cass are nerds who cosplay together :D Also i just realised Cass's hearing aid is in the wrong ear f u c k

K but i really love thinking about Cass tinkering with mechanical junk for hours because hes hyperfocusing and Sunny comes home from work/drinking/girls and sees him stooped over his workbench so she disapears and comes back with food for them both. Its probably just leftover takeout or ramen or something but Cass hasnt eaten all damn day so its amazing. And they just sit on this old beat up sofa in the corner of Cass’s workshop and cuddle a little while they eat and Sunny tells him about her day and Cass babbles excitedly about what he’s working on. And she has no idea honestly like she’s a half decent mechanic because she has to know how her gear works? But Cassidy is on a whole nother level. But explaining it to her is like rubber ducky coding so he’ll have a mouthfull of noodles amd suddenly his face lights up because OH WOW SUN I GOT IT and he’s up and dashing over to his workbench leaving her holding his half eaten food

And she just sighs because she knows he’s gonna lock in again but. Shes smiling. Because he’s talking about something she can’t follow and he’s so cute when he gets excited.

Sometimes she’ll leave him to it and come back later and.sometimes she’ll stay and maybe read or watch him work but when she gets tired shes like AIGHT NUMSKULL ITS TIME FOR BED GET YOUR ASS THE FUCK OVER HERE and will LITERALLY have to drag him away sometimes but. She makes sure he gets enough sleep. And they just love each other so much and aaaahhh

Cassidy is a mechanical savant (literally) but obviously he sometimes has issues working in his arm. Sunny isn't as skilled as him, but she's good enough to...lend...a hand
