"philosophic barebacking" What can you even do with that??? 😂
Alec had doubted himself for so long. His sexuality, his strength, his ability to be loved. Then philosophy professor, Magnus, waltzed into his life and answered all of his questions about life and love. Condoms not required???

Hi! For the one-sentence prompt, could you do “Where the hell are your clothes?!” with Malec please??? ^_^ (I'm new to this all ask thing, am I doing this right? XD)
Don’t worry, you’re doing it right :)) This fic brought me so much fun and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do!
Unpredictable boyfriend
Alec Lightwood climbed the stairs, feeling the fatigue in every corner of his body. Since dawn, he hadn’t had a moment of peace, for the presence of demons in New York was disturbingly large that day. After a long patrol and saying goodbye to Jace, Alec only wanted to go to bed.
The only thing that could stop him from falling asleep on the stairs was the prospect of seeing Magnus. Alec felt a sort of excitement at the thought of his loved one waiting for him.
They hadn't seen each other all day, and yet Magnus had been somehow present with him. In every thought, in every shot of arrows from the bow, in every breath. And also in every text message that Magnus had sent him every now and then.
How are you, sunshine?
I have a client in an hour. I am so eager for this meeting that I'm going to pretend to be ill. Perhaps he'll just go away...
We should go to Paris, Alec.
You sounded strange on the phone. Are you okay?
Alexander... I'm so bored...
When will you come? I miss u.
The strangest thing has just happened to me. Can't wait to tell you!
A knock on the door was not necessary. Alec spent so much time in Magnus' apartment that at some point, it had become his home. He would gladly never leave this place if not for his obligation to the Institute and family.
“Magnus?”
Alec closed the door behind him, took off his jacket and hung it on the back of a chair. Then he moved toward the living room, yawning three times in a row.
Where were Magnus and his arousing, sweet kisses?
Approaching the table, Alec did not really want to drink alcohol, but he hoped it would help him in some way. A sudden desire for a hot bath came to his mind when he heard footsteps behind him. Finally. He spun around and froze with a glass in his hand and a pale smile on his lips.
Magnus stood in front of him, apparently pleased to see Alec. There would be nothing odd about it if it were not for the fact that his figure could be admired in all its glory; he was completely naked.
Alec knew he must have looked stupid with his jaw dropped low and his eyes wide open. He couldn’t help but ask, “Where the hell are your clothes?!”
That was the most appropriate question, and yet Alec felt even sillier.
“You better drink it, Alexander.” Magnus pointed at the glass and began walking around the room, in no way restrained or embarrassed by his nakedness. “And then pour yourself some more.”
Alec obeyed his order, feeling the bitter liquor warming his throat. At the same time, a blush appeared on his cheeks, which might have well been the result of alcohol or Magnus' extravagance. It was hard to tell.
“I have already mentioned to you that today a very strange situation happened to me. Well, there was some disagreement between Malcolm Fade and me and we decided to make each other's life miserable. In a joking sense, of course.” Magnus smirked, and Alec did not know whether to laugh or cry. His boyfriend was unpredictable. “Malcolm cast a spell on all my clothes. Until midnight I cannot even touch them, because if I do, they turn into little monsters and try to eat everything on their way. One of them bit my finger. I can show you...”
“No, thank you.”
“Of course, I took revenge on Fade,” Magnus continued, “but I assure you, Alec, you do not want to know what I did to him.”
Alec took his word for it.
“Who is Malcolm Fade?”
“The High Warlock of Los Angeles, a friend of Blackthorns. Tomorrow, we'll probably laugh about it with a cup of coffee. I already think it's very funny. Just look at me, Alec!”
That's what he was wary of, but since Magnus himself insisted... Alec could not believe how someone as old and experienced by life preserved such beauty. Magnus was beautiful. From dark hair with pink strands, through yellow-green eyes to a sculpted body.
Alec knew all scraps of Magnus' body by heart as he traced it with his fingers almost every night. And yet at the moment, he felt as if he had seen him for the first time.
“Hm, can't you just... you know... use your magic,” Alec stuttered, gesturing with his hands. His attempt at impersonating Magnus met with a failure. “Or I can go back to the Institute and bring you some clothes.”
“Oh, Alexander.” Magnus laughed. “I'm in my house and I can walk around naked whenever I want. What is going on? You have seen my body many times. Actually, in an act of solidarity, I suggest that you also throw your clothes off. It will be less awkward.”
“Funny... Very funny,” Alec sighed, taking a seat on a chair. “My boyfriend is a born comedian. You should change your profession, you know.”
After a moment, however, he laughed at himself, not believing that all this was really happening. That's how his life with Magnus looked like. Sometimes it was just plain, sometimes everything turned upside down, but it was never the same. Every day was different, better.
“If it bothers you so much, I will cover my body, although I think that such a work of art should be rather admired,” Magnus stated with a smile, covering himself with a thin blanket.
Alec had almost forgotten about the overwhelming fatigue that now came back with redoubled strength. He yawned, and then he felt Magnus' hand on his cheek. Alec raised his head and looked straight into the eyes of his beloved.
“Bad day?” Magnus asked in a soft voice.
“Bad week,” Alec corrected him. “All day I was thinking only about how much I wanted to see you. Your messages did not help at all.”
“Let me prepare you a warm bath, sweetie. This will help you relax. And I promise to stop parading naked.”
"It does not bother me that much," Alec confessed, covering Magnus' hand with his. He was grateful for understanding. "I love you."
Magnus kissed him on the forehead, then went out to make a bath. When he returned, he found Alec in bed. He was sleeping like an angel, still in clothes, with one hand over his head and the other on his chest.
One of the monsters was just biting Alec's foot when Magnus scared him away. Amused, Bane guessed that before falling asleep, Alec must have checked whether Magnus was telling the truth and touched a piece of clothing.
Alec did not make any move as Magnus lay down beside and gently embraced him, whispering, "I love you too, my angel."

Shadowhunters Fandom Story - Part Eighteen

FIVE FICS
Appassionato by @chonideno
One of the very first fics I ever read, and it has stayed my favorite ever since. I don't know what happened while reading it, but it felt like a beautiful, poetic experience. The fact that I read it while listening to the playlist the author made probably did a lot for that. I was just really transported into the lyricism of the fic, and it was a great experience.
Favourite Scene:
Up, up, up then soft and flying, elongated and down then graceful, the modest piano starts singing. Like water under a bridge, measures flow one after the other with delightful fluidity; first a subtle song is born, right in the center of Magnus’ chest, then an ode arises. Gentle and oh so warm, it carries his name and blooms in his heart like a sugar rose. A pattern, finesse itself, builds up and emerges from under the swirls in the tune. Never drowned in it, never lost, the pattern floats and accompanies, perfectly crafted for the piece. One hand marries the other; bold and intense, the music rises and blossoms in Magnus’ throat like a cotton flower. He can’t swallow, he can’t move. The man downstairs is talking to him.
This is Me (Fighting for you) by Fanatic_Weirdo
This one is a special one because it's a totally unique pairing between Max (Alec & Magnus's son) and an original character created by the author. It's part of a series called 'Lightwood-Bane Family' which I really love too. But this specific one I really enjoyed. I've read it many times and still love it as much each time. There's just something about seeing Malec with grown/teenage kids that I never really found in other fanfics. That's why I really like this series. I don't know if the author ever plans on continuing it, but I would absolutely read anything they write in this universe!
Favourite Quote:
"I couldn’t let that happen. I can live with a broken heart. I can live knowing I broke yours. But I cannot live with the thought that I would have forgotten that I was loved by you. To be loved by you, Max, even if just for a few years, is an honor that should go to someone far more deserving than me. But you picked me, at 6 years old, you picked a mop top ragamuffin to love. And it’s selfish, it’s so selfish, that I would rather suffer for the rest of my life and hurt you so badly, than forget that I was once good enough to be loved by Max Lightwood-Bane."
Anonymorous by @superficialpeasant
The summary could be frightening when you think about it. Two strangers having sex as an art performance during an art exhibition. Like, what? But you actually find yourself reading something intimate, funny, and sensuous. A chance encounter between two strangers that are inexplicably creating a connection during this beautiful and unique moment. A brilliant, brillant piece (just like the author other fics by the way).
Favourite Scene:
He looks down at Magnus now - and while his mouth doesn’t say the words, his eyes speak them loud and clear. If you're going to run - run with me.
Blankets, jam & other metaphors for love by Oumy
Single Parent, Italy, Family feels? I was sold from the start only by reading this! But I didn't expect to love this story so much. Then again, I love Oumy's writing and other fics so much, so I should have known really. But this one stuck with me the most I think. I felt like I was in the Italian countryside, I felt for these characters trying to navigate their lives and their feelings. And Alec's daughter in this is just the sweetest girl. So yeah, a warm, beautiful story, just like Italy in the summer.
Favourite Scene:
He probably didn’t even realize it, but Alec’s other hand snaked around to rest on the small of Magnus’ back as he braced himself, and Magnus felt sparks of dizzying electricity course through his spine at the feel of it, warm and substantial on him. To an outsider, they probably looked picturesque, Alec cocooning the two of them in his warmth as Magnus held the little girl in his arms, and his yearning intensified, manifesting itself in a tightening around the region of his heart.
Bright Lights, Small Town by @lecrit
And 'Everything is great' too. I know it makes two, it's cheating. But these two fics have a theme in common that I think Lu writes amazingly, which is grief. It's something I experienced in my life and I felt close to the characters' sorrows reading these fics. Also, both have cute dogs in it (with great, funny names), what else can you ask for?
Favourite Scene:
Magnus wondered if ripping his chest open and exposing his own heart would have felt the same, if it would have appeared as rotten as it felt, as dark as it seemed. He had heard before that people who opened their hearts started to heal, but it all sounded like a lie now. He wasn’t healing. His heart was exposed, and he felt like he was crumbling under the weight of it, suffocating with the heaviness of his grief, of his doubts, of the burden he was carrying.
~
What writing for the fandom means to me:
I really love writing for this fandom. There's always so much enthusiasm for these characters. I know reading about them brings me joy, so I hope that with my very small contribution I can bring a little bit of joy to others as well. Also, it's helping me working on my writing, especially in English as I'm not a native English speaker. So, it's always a bonus. It's a nice way to practice your writing skills with stories and characters you love. And I just love writing in general (I write outside of fanfics too, mainly short stories).

I love to read fics about my favourite characters, shows or books, because I love to be able to go further in their universe. But I also love when the authors create a completely new world with those characters I adore. I want to thank the authors for (no doubt) the huge amount of time, talent and effort they put into it to give us amazing stories that make us dream, shiver or even completely melt.
