#this is the opening number but its been condensed for the tonys#you wont get much plot from how its condensed tho#basically its the writers and lyricists and composers of the musical shuffle along talking abt their show and how it impacts theatre#and how they interact w each other#anyways this show only ran for a short time and didnt get a cast recording#which is very sad because almost everyone from the main cast that wasnt already famous got HUGE#this was after billy porters tony win but before pose#audra and brian were already titans#but adrienne brandon and joshua were not huge yet#and amber is FINALLY abt to have a big role jn a bway show#anyways this show is abt ghe real musical called shuffle along thag debuted in 1921#and shuffle along is one of the most important broadway shows of all time#sooo many famous Black people were in this show and its tour#josephine baker was one of them#anyways. yeah ❤️#caseen gaines has a book abt it that i Need to Buy#Youtube
