everyone saying yikes at the merch thing,, I do have to wonder if those shops would have closed anyways tho?? Like I don’t see hazel or Carrie or sav really wanting to have a merch shop anymore bc they’re doing other things…. Unless I’m super out the loop I don’t know the beef!!!

who everyone? (haven't seen anything for a long time) they've been trying to close a lot of shops since spring 2023 it seems. so i'm not surprised they finally did. all 3 of the girlies are selling mostly books now if i'm not mistaken. although Sav has merch on her website. who i didn't expect to disappear from irl merch was lilsimsie. now she has her own shop. Dean Dobbs also didn't choose to stop working with them, it came from irl. they wanted to scale back. and time-wise it matched with Sarah and Ryann leaving the company after Dan's tour.

now irl merch has only the most profitable shops. a lot of UK shops stopped shipping to the EU after brexit, and it looked like irl didn't even want to try to solve that problem (like they did for dnp's shops). if there weren't that many non-UK orders and the shops weren't profitable enough then i understand not wanting to spend time and money on logistics that wouldn't pay off. (Dean, Carrie and Hazel stopped shipping to the EU. Sav had it available 100%, lilsimsie — i'm not sure, but i think she also had).

if they (Martyn) doesn't want to hire more people then closing non-profitable shops makes sense. after October 2023 irl merch can't even manage dnp's merch drops. their costumer service sucks ass, no one is managing their social media, they have problems with the availability of the shipping of wad merch and the logistics related to wad merch in general. like, who is responsible for gathering merch items from "all over the world"? they had more than 9 months for that. i'd understand it being a huge ass problem only if there was no one who had time and/or knowledge of how to do that. and i'd bet my ass, if Sarah were still working for irl we wouldn't have this problem. and i say "we" because we're unfortunately affected by all of this. Dan said a lot of words that didn't really make sense and that can potentially be contradicted by what we will see today.

you know how it looks from our perspective? irl merch wasn't ready for dnpg's comeback. Dan and Phil's own company wasn't ready for their comeback and the revival of wad. hilarious, if you ask me.

idk how it went from Sav, Hazel, Carrie, Dean and others to irl merch's problems, but here you go.

Apparently they’ll be available at next year, possibly with the next movie but oh my gosh I still have trouble believing that this is all real.

Just over a year and a half ago, I backed @boomstudios' Kickstarter for the The Expanse: Dragon Tooth comic book run. And today I finally got my 3rd wave shipment!

I'm really glad past me decided to splurge a little -- the timing on this feels like a reward for getting my grad school applications submitted two weeks before their deadline!

In addition to the three collected comic volumes, I got: Three patches representing the political factions, a gorgeous set of challenge coins and collective case, three metal bookmarks featuring art from the comics, an embroidered Rocinante beanie and a star map poster (not pictured), a slipcase box for the three comic volumes, and my favorite: a poster print signed by the three main cast members.

I can't wait to get the art framed and hung up 😍 Not sure where the coins will go yet but I'll find them a nice home, I'm sure! And I'm already wearing the beanie lmao.

Question about some Detective Conan anime merch.

I keep seeing these seasons sets on ebay and etsy.

And from the description and pictures, it seems like it has english subtitles.

The thing is… these cost around USD $269 for the whole set, and I can’t find a review that tells me the video or subtitles quality. My question is… Would these be a good purchase? I’m looking to add to my collection.

HEHEHEHE. i haven't decided abt awakening (and if there's a regression plot) yet but yes he is ageswapped with yoohyun (hyj 20 hyh 25) and when i tell you things are strained. they didn't get any better at communication when hyj learned from hyh's reticent -_- ass. hyh hasn't totally cut hyj off but they're very distant for a long time... and neither of them is taking steps to bridge the gap because. well hyh because he created it intentionally and hyj because. hm. theres a long line of dominoes there but lets just summarize it as he doesn't think hyh wants him to

re: hyj and shj. lmao. they both have similar senses of humor still i guess but hyj mentally relegates him to the position of "mha and byr's junior/little brother/nephew/purse chihuahua/???" and deals with him in much the same way you might handle a friend's younger sibling you end up having to babysit when you hang out with them. i think just for funnies shj has baby's first crush on hyj but because he's, again, Baby (he's 15... a middle schooler.... a very annoying middle schooler......) nothing comes of it. shj just very energetically bothers hyj every time he sees him and is subject to relentless teasing from mha and byr once they pick up on it
