Loved visiting the Female Factory at Cascades in South Hobart. Watched Her Story performance which was really interesting. #livehistoryhobart #cascadefemalefactory #herstory #history #convicts #hobart #tasmania #southerntasmania #performance (at Cascades Female Factory) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6zy4sQhaqm/?igshid=w276igrkkhjx

#convictconnections #lovelyTasmania #CascadeFemaleFactory #convictbonnets Thanks to Musician Vicky Macdonald from Queensland for sharing her talent. Vicky included in her repertoire a song she's written about Eliza Davis whose journey began in the County Wicklow Gail. Thanks to Gail Mulhern (and other members of her family) who travelled to Tasmania to be part of the Roses from the Heart Memorial project weekend celebrations. One of Gail's ancestors was Eliza Davis. Very emotional for Gail being in Tasmania where Eliza spent time. Karen Buckley who is pictured wearing the incredibly beautiful bonnet she created for her namesake Margaret Buckley. Karen's help over the past few days has been invaluable - helping in all sorts of ways including loads of photographic documentation. Thanks to all. Photo taken by Cascades Female Factory Historic Site volunteer staff member Trevor at the CFFS on Sunday after the 'Wear a Bonnet - Living Art Installation' at the Hobart wharf.
