Cacturne, Carvhana, and Murkrow are all pretty tasty if prepared properly, so definitely eating a dark type every day.

Whisk the Dustox, who was the 1st Pokemon I caught and saved the team so many times, only to be killed by MY OWN FATHER’S SLAKING!

Peekaboo the cosplay Pikachu, who lost her life to the Flying Gym’s Altaria that knew Earthquake

Sun Dapple the Goldeen - A Gen 1 Pokemon that I never cared about before but damn, he was great. This one was tragic; I was fighting a difficult double battle against a Numel and a Carvhana.  Sun Dapple attacked and killed the Numel;  the next turn I set up Sun Dapple to attack the Carvhana.  The Carvana went first and landed a crit, but Sun Dapple lived on one hit point!  Sun Dapple attacked and destroyed the Carvhana . . . only to perish to the Carvhana’s Rough Skin ability that does damage to physical attackers. :(

Congrats! I found a bunch of new ones right when it went active, too. I’m still working till 30 go

I found a lot of Spheal, Snowrunt, Delibird, and the gen3 starters! Enough to evolve them all! (just need better IVs for Torchic). I only found 2 Barboach though, and none of the other new guys; no Lotad, Carvhana, Feebs, Luvdisc, Surskit or Wailmer ;w; I wanna find at least one of them tomorrow.

It’s kind of interesting to see that some of the cut ‘mons seem to have come back in later generations, albeit with alterations.

The little fish seems to be a weird luvisc/carvhana hybrid, and the shark is obviously a Sharpedo prototype - All you have to do is cut off the anchor and you’ve pretty much got a Sharpedo.

Huntail. Enough said.

This feels like a shuppet/banette prototype to me? It’s a cursed doll, after all. 

Tangrowth came back in 4th gen! Albeit dramatically different.

Might be a bit of a stretch, but... I get some Rufflet/vullaby vibes? But that could just be because they’re all baby birds, and baby birds tend to look similar. 

And, last but not least, that’s pretty much just a leafeon

So with all the info coming out of the Pokemon Gold and Silver Demo that was found, I figured I’d make a neat little post showing Pokemon that were Cut from the game or Heavily Changed before full release organized in a neat sheet. And with the color sprites!

While it is a shame some of these never say the light of day (that Ditto Evolution is personal favorite), there are also some things that are better left on the cutting room floor.

Like that Lickitung Evolution.
