First of all hello my wife my wife the love of my life! (I did in fact ride half of my first year of college on a music scholarship)

OKAY so you know how heavily I associate Fall Out Boy with Stan in general (mostly bc I like projecting and I’m a gremlin abt fob) SPECIFICALLY Infinity On High (I know we’ve discussed this before and yes I’m still unhinged abt the 27 rm thing) AND I’ve said a LOT abt OrangeJuiceVerse Stan being musically inclined as one of his main outlets.

(I will be mainly sticking to ojv bc that do be my main focus atm)

So Stan will play literally whatever on the guitar and he can improvise SO WELL!!! Like it’s wild but he’s just like eh it’s a casual hobby but he hears a song and immediately knows the basic chord progression and bpm he’s the king of countermelodies too. Kenny will start playing something and then Stan will pop in with the most gorgeous harmonies and just…. fall in.

Stan will listen to ANYTHING he especially loves songs with a story (I’m sticking to ATLCTS for him being a Tenacious D fan bc I very much enjoy that) and Kyle, while Stan is all “LISTEN TO THAT CELLO BREAK” Kyle Is all fully into the lyricism and losing his shit about RAINDROPS ON ROSES AND GIRLS IN WHITE DRESSES AND SLEEPING WITH- (I feel like they have similar tastes but for different reasons if u get me)

My Kyle’s for sure are lyrics gremlins. Stan will be like KEY CHANGE KEY CHANGE but Kyle will be WAIT LOOK THE STORY HOLY SHIT SYMBOLISM(smh they whole ass watch musicals together and neither of them stfu) (losers)

(This is unhinged I’m eepy) so song specific idk man but I feel in my soul that Stan’s hopeless romantic ass serenades Kyle on a regular basis ESPECIALLY when he’s in an Emo Boy Mood like this man thinks he’s Orpheus or something ALSO Stan is incredibly specific about having certain playlists for every single situation and the “Super Best Spicy Time” playlist is INCREDIBLY LAME!!! (I’m talkin Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls and Mr Brightside was playing during their first time) like they are losers your honor

Nothing Matters But You by The Young Veins, Northern Downpour and When The Day Met The Night by Panic, I Think I Love You by Tenacious D, All I Ask Of You from Phantom (btw I saw someone draw a style phantom of the opera au it slayed so hard), Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John (there’s this scene in a fic I read where Stan plays it for Kyle on his guitar and I lost my mind), ofc Carry On Wayward Son, Accidentally In Love by the counting crows, Turn Off The Lights from the Vices and Virtues bonus tracks, As Long As You’re Mine from Wicked (I feel like Kyle fuckinh loves Wicked) All I’ve Ever Known from Hadestown.

OJV Kyle for sure listens to the acoustic versions of pop songs and is SUCH a sap (he won’t admit it as much as Stan tho) like he’ll pause a song after a particularly clever or romantic line and just be like DID YOU HEAR THAT! Stan writes songs every once in a while and whenever he writes for Ky he always tries to paint a story because that’s what Kyle likes help I love them so much

As for other media I associate w the boys, bruh lemme tell ya the sp brainrot is so real I physically cannot watch or read anything without imagining a couple as style (literally last night my partner and I were watching the picture lock of the last feature we worked on and I’m over here looking at the two main characters like hmm who is Stan who is Kyle I’m the WORST)

Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure is so Them to me holy shit like best friends getting into situations and being obsessed with each other I love that shit (u can’t tell me Bill and Ted aren’t in love)

This comes as no surprise to anyone but Lord Of The Rings for sure, especially since i decided that they speak elvish to each other on the regular

I’ve also said it before but!!! As a massive PJO/Riordanverse fan, THEY ARE SO PERCABETH CODED!!! We got Stan/Percy as the reluctant hero who everyone looks to, Kyle/Annabeth as the badass short tempered voice of reason, like DUDE.

(Also I hope you know how much your fics have influenced my mindset like I’ll drive past Taco Bell and be like o look style moment and I saw Fireball at the gas station and thought abt rm Stan)

Oof okay... I’m preemptively sorry to all of my followers who don’t care about this (which is... most of you), bc this post is about to be long! (Also you aren’t being annoying!)

Stan being Kyle’s Knight in Shining Armor slash personal bodyguard, the Loras to his Renly, in The Stick of Truth, as well as their whole dramatic Xbox/PlayStation breakup and makeup in the Game of Thrones trilogy episodes preceding the SOT game.

The entirety of Guitar Queer-o. The drama! The emotions! Stan having a fame breakdown after screwing Kyle over and then dramatically braking on his car in his racing game when ~Their Song~ (Carry on Wayward Son) comes on the radio. And then Kyle dramatically saying, “Oh, so the gallant knight now comes to rescue me from the bowels of mediocrity! Oh, thank you, your royal lordship!” when Stan comes to apologize, and then says he doesn’t need him, to which Stan says “I know. I need you.” while Skid Row’s romantic 80’s rock ballad ‘I Remember You’ plays softly in the background.

Them being paired together for the baby egg project in Follow That Egg! Kyle writing on their baby progress sheet that “Stan is a protective father” despite his concerns that Stan would be careless with their egg. Kyle sadly asking if Stan really thinks his hat his stupid, and Stan responding with “as a matter of fact, I think it is the nicest hat I’ve ever known.”

Stan recruiting the Super Best Friends just to save Kyle from a cult’s suicide pact. Also Stan becoming a famous medium while attempting to prove to Kyle that mediums are fake. Stan’s concern for Kyle’s martyrdom in Ginger Cow. Basically any time Kyle gets easily manipulated by things/people and Stan goes out of his way to put a stop to it.

Kyle basically adopting Blanket for the entirety of Meet the Jeffersons and Stan just going along with it as if co-parenting with Kyle is the most natural thing in the world. 🥺

When Kyle moves to San Francisco and Stan writes a song encouraging everyone to buy hybrid cars because he thinks it will result in Kyle moving back to SP.

The fact that only Kyle could hear Stan calling for help while Stan was trapped in Imaginationland, and could later communicate with him telepathically. And he only cared about Stan’s whereabouts and saving him from getting nuked, all while Cartman was harassing him.

Stan offering to donate his kidney to Kyle and, when he’s not a match, scheming to trick Cartman into donating his kidney instead. Then at the end, when Kyle thanks him for saving his life, Stan saying, “dude, you’re my best friend. I don’t want you to die until I do.”

Kyle showing up in Stan’s room in the middle of the night to talk about his personal crises (ex: Crack Baby Athletic Association) and Stan being totally unfazed like this happens all the time (and the fact that Tweek does this to Craig too and they actually are canon).

When Kyle has that nightmare in Cartoon Wars and he reaches for Stan’s hand in the dream and then wakes up actually reaching his hand out in real life. 🥺

In general, the fact that they’re both comfortable crying in front of each other, asking for help, hugging, and saying “I love you”. They don’t know the meaning of toxic masculinity.

Every time they give each other The Look (aka the Stan and Kyle side eye when something dumb is happening/about to happen).

If I were you, I wouldn’t hold my breath on D messaging you this Saturday. Don’t take this personally, I’m getting the feeling that D is probably going to have a lot on his plate and he’s simply going to forget while he’s trying to keep up with everything. This is purely my own advice but screw society’s standards and text him first. Ask if he needs help managing anything or what you can do to help.

As for his feelings towards you, I get the vibe that at the moment, he’s feeling kind of down and out, like he feels as though no one will ever want him. I can’t tell for sure if he’ll have feelings for you but the cards say go for it, the Fool represents new beginnings and new ventures and jumping with both legs tucked in and a massive splash. Text him first, start that adventure in trying to begin a relationship, just be wary of going overboard. Sometimes doing too much can push someone away. If you see signs that he’s not into it, cool off, give him some room, and learn how he likes to do things.
