Dean Creasey sent these in after a trip over the pond, here’s a few words from a dean regarding his week abroad. Another quality week on the Steamies in France. With the weather conditions not being the kindest with a strong north easterly the fishing was far from easy, that being said I still managed to get amongst them and landed 7 up to 55lb 8oz. 5 were taken on 15mm TNT and the other 2 falling to 15mm CNO with all 3 spots producing runs. Here’s another from Kristian’s mega Easter weekend👌 Elated with recent events I fished through Sunday and into the evening without event, and so decided to go for it with the bait on the last night and after resetting the rods for the final evening I set about putting out the last of my bait on the long range spots, I wanted one more so it was all or nothing, Monday morning I had been watching the water and saw fish in the zone so felt confident it would kick off and was rewarded shortly after with a proper scrap from a 20+ mirror shortly after I had a one toner followed by a epic battle back down the right hand margin and again had to go in to keep the line from making its way into the nearby foliage when this stunning 30.8 mirror finally went in the net. Don’t you just love a scale perfect common! This one was sent in by Nick Turner, here’s a few worlds from this legendary old school carper👊 I arrived at the lake to find the car park full which is never a good sight, I did a couple of laps & fancied a couple of swims that were away from the other lines. I saw a small mirror show in one of the fancied swims so opted to start there. Once I got the gear to the swim I tied on a small sized spomb to keep the noise to a minimum, I then sent out 4 spombs out to where I’d seen the small mirror show earlier of Hemp & Tigernut pellet followed by 2 trimmed down pop ups , after a couple of liners on the left hand rod she was away , a lovely fight ensued & she rolled in the net 1st time , job done & a happy angler 👍🏻 Great skills Nick and thanks for sharing, Bossed it!
