This little beauty...Miss Matilda...I don’t know if she’ll ever get adopted, as she’s been in rescue 4yrs...ever since she was about 8wks old. Yeah, she’s sassy, feisty and doesn’t show her best side when she meets dogs in public. Yeah, she is afraid of children and doesn’t respond with a wagging tail when she sees them...she just doesn’t understand them and wants away. Yeah, she be bullheaded and not come when called. And yeah, she’ll not back down to a big dog and isn’t fond of cats. However, our little Miss Independent loves her canine siblings so very much, and she loves her foster family. She sleeps on my feet every night, or at least makes sure she’s touching me. She watches out for her canine siblings and won’t come inside until they’re all inside first and accounted for. She also watches out for me to make sure I’m safe. She’s perfectly mannered in the house and never has an accident, never chews, and never acts rambunctious. She quietly sits by my side or escorts my to the next room. She cuddles...she has ever since she was a baby, and if you let her snuggle in your lap, she’s in her happy place. She has perfect ears, the best smile ever, and she hands out extremely gentle kisses. Little Matilda is 31lbs of sass, but she’s also 31lbs if total devotion and love. We hope she finds her forever home with someone that will appreciate all of her wonderful qualities and understand her idiosyncrasies.
