Had a rough few days not long ago that included some tears. This little love, Miss Matilda, was so concerned about my upset that she immediately responded by jumping in my lap, whimpering because she was worried, and snuggling as close to me as she could. She refused to leave my side. Her hugs, kisses and snuggles were the medicine I needed. I was her focus. I was someone she loved, and she did NOT want me in any sort of harm's way. She did not want me sad. Matilda has been in rescue a long time. She would love to be someone's baby, nurse and closest pal. VET DAY! We met with Doc for both Bandit and Matilda yesterday. Bandit still has some fluid in the shoulder/elbow area where he had the suspected bite. We're going to try another week of antibiotics and hopefully it will straighten out. Otherwise he's happy and playful, wrapped up in his bonding play with Radar. Those boys are SILLY! But we need this fluid to go away. Kapoot. See ya later, alligator. Matilda had swelling in the left eye area. Doc drained a serum type fluid off of it that showed us nothing (aka: gave us nothing to go on), so he's going to talk to the Ophthalmologist about the next step and see what she thinks about it. We're hoping it's a simple thing with no other problems on the horizon. She was such a champ for the procedure...our girl is nothing but strength and stability! Keep some thoughts and prayers going for these two so that we can find healing and they can move along. Matilda loves this gorgeous day and is thankful she’s not dodging raindrops again! She loves, loves, loves to absorb the sunshine and frolick.
