Estamos Longe do Ideal Em 2024, ainda temos desafios.

Maria and Marcos had sworn never to see each other again after the last time.
One night, however, the situation became critical. So, Maria decided to go to Marcos directly, knowing that only he could understand the urgency and gravity of the situation.
“Marcos, we need your help," Maria said. "The Purifiers are being very violent."
“Maria, you know Lorna won't go along with this."
“I'm not asking for your help to save me, Marcos. I'm asking for your help to save mutants; no one should fall into the hands of the Purifiers. "
Marcos knew he had no choice.

Madelyne Pryor, Havok, Zero and Carmen Cruz are looking for Marisol Guerra the reclusive young mutant of Mexico, to recruit her into the team. As Madelyne's group reach the fungi-ridden hideout, they get sprayed by fungi spores which put them to sleep. Carmen Cruz was the only mutant who managed to save herself from breathing the spores by using her shape-shifting powers to make herself a mask to cover her nose. Havok, Zero and Madelyne are dreaming in their spore-induced slumber while Carmen is left alone to explore the place herself. However, no one knew that the Bamf-Dragon (which was sent by Alternate-Goblin Queen) is stalking them. Carmen Cruz explores the village until she finds Marisol Guerra is hiding in the place with the mutant villagers. Carmen tries to befriend Marisol but the latter is wary of her. Meanwhile, Madelyne wakes up and finds herself attacked by the Bamf-Dragon so she telepathically wakes Havok and Zero up from their slumber. Havok and Madelyne are trying to fight off the Bamf-Dragon while Zero is having fun with the creature. Havok and Madelyne try to hit the Bamf-Dragon but it teleports away. Back to the heart of the village, Carmen Cruz is talking to Marisol Guerra when they get attacked by the Bamf-Dragon. Carmen Cruz shapeshifts herself to a more feral form to defend Marisol and the villagers. Unfortunately, because of the Bamf-Dragon's attack and the arrival of Madelyne's group, Marisol and the villagers are having none of it so she tells them to leave the place.

Oz AU ⟶ After the gruesome murder of a city council member, police detain Carmen “Chico” Guerra, a local rival businessman who has also long been suspected of being a high-ranking member of the notorious gang El Norte. Detective Miguel Alvarez is brought in to assist with questioning because he and Chico have rapport; they were childhood best friends and foot soldiers in El Norte together before Miguel got on the straight and narrow. While it’s widely known that Chico hates his guts for turning blue all those years ago, that animosity isn’t the real reason Miguel is reluctant to get involved. The fact is, even though Chico was seen near the scene of the crime on the night it occurred, Miguel knows that it wasn’t Chico’s finger that pulled the trigger—it was his. It’s four in the morning help💀
I was inspired by @wawamouse yet again by saying he wanted to write a fic where Miguel was just openly attracted to Chico. Like, plain and simple. Two bros. Chillin in a hottub. You get the gist. I’m here for it and a little high so…
Miguel Alvarez and Chico Guerra in…
Crime and Punishment
Fuck him. Sometimes Miguel forgot how much of a dick Chico could be. They’d been dating for a few years now. Mostly in private at first but they learned to roll with the punches. They just worked too well together to quit, even though they argued like an old married couple. Chico was in the bathroom now. Had been for the last half hour.
The blow up had been at dinner. An argument they had at least a dozen times but today was a monsoon. Every argument just came up all at once, until they were screaming at each other from across the table. Chico walked away first. He always did. And Miguel hated that he took that opportunity away from him every time. Made him angrier than the actual argument. He was seething on the couch as he waited on the bathroom. A one bedroom sounded like a great idea in the beginning; he and Guerra fucked like bunnies. But now? With Guerra hogging the only toilet in the house?
“You redecorating or some shit?” Miguel called heatedly. He heard a crash and some swearing but no screaming so he just rolled his eyes.
“Shaving. That okay with you, Princess?” Chico called back, like a taunting child. Miguel rolled his eyes yet again.
“I’d like to take a shit sometime this century.”
“Yeah? Maybe that lump of coal up your ass is finally a diamond.”
“Fuck off.”
Silence. He heard Chico fumbling with his shaving kit. He never used an electric razor on his face. Didn’t trust them. Shaved the way his brother taught him how. Miguel softened a little at the thought. He liked watching Chico shave and clean up his goatee. The man took so much pride in it. Plus it’s hot to watch your boyfriend shave. Miguel was man enough to admit that. But that’s why Chico was shaving now. He was purposely stopping Miguel from watching him. Alvarez understood how crazy that sounded, but he knew his insane boyfriend better than anyone. This is exactly the petty shit he pulls when he’s butthurt. Miguel found himself getting angry again at the thought. He knew Chico needed MUCH concentration when he shaved, so he decided to put down his book and walk to the bathroom door.
“Five. Ten. Fifteen. Twenty.”
“You’re counting now? What’re you? My mom?” Guerra called through the door with a grimace.
“Baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo!”
“Oh, real fucking mature, Miguel.”
Miguel grinned like the bitch he was and kept going. He could hear Guerra muttering Spanish obscenities through the door.
“To sit in solemn silence on a dull dark dock in a pestilential prison with a life long lock-“
“Miguel, I’m warning you.”
Miguel just started to bang different tunes on the door to throw him off. He hated the tongue-twisters Miguel learned at the theater.
“-awaiting the sensation of a short sharp shock-“
“I’ll fucking leave you for this, you colossal bitch.”
“-from a cheap and chippy chopper on a big black block!”
“FUCK!” Chico reacted in pain and then there was silence. Miguel listened, the smile slowly disappearing from his face when the silence persisted.
“Chico? Yo, you okay?”
More silence. Miguel started to worry.
“Hey, Chico. Just… tap on the door if you’re okay.”
More silence. No Spanish obscenities. Miguel’s heart dropped.
“Carmen, I’m gonna break the door-“
The door swung open quick and a furious Guerra was standing there in only his boxers, a little blood dripping from his clean shaven face. It was just a nick. Chico went toe to toe with him, eyes flashing in their fury.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, cabron. That shit hurts.”
Miguel didn’t say a word, just stared at Chico, who didn’t notice his boyfriend wasn’t responding and kept berating him.
“The fuck is up with you? First you need to take a shit that’s more important than me keeping the skin on my face and now you got nothing to say?” He stormed past Miguel and went to the kitchen to pour some Tequila. Miguel followed. Chico noticed. “What? Now you gotta take a shit in the kitchen, too?”
Miguel just stared at Chico as if he was looking at him for the first time. Chico, ever the empath, just then noticed Miguel hasn’t said anything, just staring at him wide eyed. He touches his face to see if the nick was more serious than he thought, but the blood was already gone. He searched behind him for the answer.
“What?”
“You shaved.”
“Told you I was.” He retorted, back to pouring his tequila. Miguel swallows thickly.
“I thought you meant you were trimming up the goatee.” Miguel clarified, still wide eyed. Chico shifted.
“Thought I’d try something new.” He took a shot of tequila and went to pour another. There weren’t any damn limes left in the house. Two Latinos. No limes. He shook his head at the travesty and looked up to see Miguel still staring. He suddenly got very self conscious.
“You don’t like it?” He asked quietly, eyes downward at first but then looking over Miguel.
“No… I mean yes… wait what was the question?” Miguel stammered out, eyes as big as the moon. Chico furrowed his brow, before a lightbulb lit in his head. He suddenly recognized that look. The glassy eyes. The moist lips. The starstruck attitude.
“Wait… wait you like it.” He narrated out loud, sly smirk starting to form as he pounds his last shot.
“Well… I mean….” Miguel’s speech patterns were giving him away. Chico knew this well. He’d seen Miguel horny but never like this.
“No, I know that look. You like it. More than that. You like like it.” He started chuckling to himself, mind already reeling at how he could use this, the argument from hours prior already forgotten.
Miguel tried to say something but he couldn’t. He really couldn’t. He was always attracted to Guerra, but clean shaven Guerra? Man never stood a chance.
His boyfriend was looking FIT. He’d always been muscular, but damn, did he look different there, hair a mess, only in his fucking blue boxers, clean shaven face grinning at him dickishly. And those eyes. He’d made his fair share of comments to Guerra regarding his eyes, but Miguel forgot how devastatingly deep and intense they were. Especially in the throes of passion. Chico took a cocksure step towards him, almost as if he were ‘showing off the goods’ as he once phrased it.
“Miguelito likes his handsome boyfriend.” He flexes dorkily, and Miguel starts to blush and deny, waving his hand in front of him dismissively.
“Man, shut up.” But his retorts were lacking. He was just too attracted to Guerra at the moment. The caramel skin and clean jaw. The long masculine fingers and hip bones sticking out. Chico kept sauntering over to him, teasing the air around him.
“Awww… Miguelito’s embarrassed. Don’t be, baby, I know I’m that gorgeous.”
Miguel felt his ears burning as he looked anywhere but in Guerra’s direction as he brushed past the man and straight to the tequila. He poured himself a shot and took it, mentally making a note to get limes tomorrow. He felt a hot breath on his neck, and Guerra’s arms sneaking around his waist. He started to pour another shot, when he heard Chico behind him. Only, Chico’s voice wasn’t playful anymore. It was deep and gravely as he tried to whisper into Miguel’s ear, licking the lobe lovingly before doing so.
“Just tell me you didn’t have the urge to call me Daddy just then and I’ll leave you alone.”
He husked one more hot breath and nipped at the lobe as he pulled away, the bite carrying a shiver down Miguel’s spine.
All he had to do was tell Chico no. Just one no, and he might get some peace and quiet for the first time that night. All he had to do was say no. Shake his head no. Punch Chico in the throat and then leave him. Anything, except what he actually did.
He moaned.
He heard a deep chuckle behind him, and Chico said;
“That’s what I thought, Miguelito.”
He kissed the side of Miguel’s head, before picking him up and throwing him onto the counter, pulling Miguel’s head forward to trap him in a kiss, spreading his legs so that either one was on their respective side of his hips. He forced his tongue deep into Miguel’s mouth, and the man made an animalistic sound Guerra had never heard from him. The glasses clattered to the floor, and as Alvarez instinctively looked to inspect the damage, Chico took the opportunity to bite his neck, making Miguel yell in pain and pleasure. Something about his freshly shaved face gliding on Miguel’s skin was too much to bear. They broke apart, panting and sweating, staring at the other and undressing them with their eyes. But neither one moved. There was a still silence for a second, before Guerra said;
“Say it.”
“Say what?” Miguel asked, confused. Chico smirked and raised his eyebrows.
“Say it.” He repeated, that same shit eating smile on his face. Miguel suddenly understood.
“I’m not saying it.”
“Miguel-“
“With your ego? Even this reaction was too much.”
Chico put both hands on either thigh, squeezing to get his attention, and moving his head so Miguel was forced to meet his gaze, smiling the whole way.
“Just say it, man, and I promise the night of your life.”
Miguel thought for a moment and sighed.
“Can I whisper it?” He said with a head shake, understanding that he was forgoing his dignity for the night. Chico nodded happily, and Chico guided him by a hand on the back of his neck, bringing Chico’s ear up to his lips. After kissing it for a second, he tries to muster the words Guerra wanted to hear.
“Fuck me, Daddy.”
Chico growled loudly and helped Miguel off the counter, spanking his ass loudly as Alvarez made his way to the bedroom.
“Fuck you.”
Guerra responded with a loud laugh, and another smack on Miguel’s rear, letting the door slam behind him.
“Careful, Miguelito. Daddy’s home.”

Viva la Revolución
Ship: Suspenders & Pens
A/N: These kids are gonna make Rafa go even grayer
Rafael and Nic sat expectantly on the couch, waiting for the twins. They told their parents they had something they wanted to talk about, and neither had the faintest idea why. Finally the twins came bounding down the stairs, standing in front of the fireplace. They both had small stacks of notecards in their hands.
“Mami, Papi, thank you for coming,” began Lina.
“As you know, we don’t ask for much,” Beth added. “But we’ve had a meeting and made a joint decision for our birthday.”
“Oh?” Nic raised a brow as she and Rafael exchanged a look. “What is this decision?”
“We would like a tv in our room as an early birthday present,” Lina explained.
“And we have a list of reasons why we believe we deserve one,” Beth told them. “Reason one: Because it would be really cool.”
“Reason two: Less fighting over the tv before bed,” Lina added.
“Reason three: we–”
“You’re not getting a tv in your bedroom,” Rafael told them.
The twins looked at each in shock before looking back at their parents. “Why not?” they asked in unison.
“Because you’re nine,” Rafael began.
“We’ll be ten in two months!” Beth argued.
“And,” he added, “it’s hard enough to get you both to do your homework. You don’t need a distraction in your room.”
“Eso no es justo!” Lina exclaimed.
“You’re not getting a tv in your room until you’re in middle school. End of discussion,” Rafael said. “Now go get ready for bed.”
The twins huffed angrily, stomping towards the staircase and up the stairs to their room. They grumbled to each other in twin-lish, their own made up language, and Nic sighed as she watched them go.
“We could have least heard them out,” she said to her husband.
“I didn’t have a tv in my room growing up.” Rafael stood up to get a glass of water from the kitchen. “They can wait a few years.”
Lina and Beth were still upset in the morning, practically giving their father the silent treatment. Their Aunt Abby picked them up for the day to take the twins to a new bookshop that opened in Queens. But secretly they were plotting, and that evening when everyone was winding down for the night, the twins marched into their parents’ bedroom. Nic had just finished brushing her teeth when they entered, and Rafael paused the show they were watching. Beth confidently held out a piece of paper to their father who took it in confusion. Nic walked over to her husband, glancing down at the paper in his hand.
“What’s this?” he asked the twins.
“Ten signatures for our petition,” Lina explained simply.
“Petition?” Rafael asked in disbelief. They nodded. “Petition for what?”
“To get us a tv in our room,” she said.
Beth crossed her arms. “We have the signed support from Aunt Abby, Uncle Sonny, Aunt Bella and Uncle Tommy, Uncle Eddie—”
“—Aunt Liv, Uncle Fin, Miss Carmen, Mr. McCoy–” Lina added.
“You got a signature from my boss?!” Rafael shrieked, looking at the paper and recognizing the signature from the District Attorney. “How?” He looked at his daughters, and Nic bit her lip to stop herself from laughing.
“Uncle Sonny introduced us. We’re very persuasive,” they said in unison, smiling at their father. If he hadn’t seen them do that their entire lives he would be freaked out.
“But we got the most important signature,” Beth told him, pointing at the list.
“Abuelita,” they both said.
Rafael stared at his mother’s name at the bottom of the list. She always spoiled the twins. He shook his head as he looked up at them. “This changes nothing. The answer is still no.”
The twins’ eyes hardened to a glare. “Esto es guerra, Papi,” they told him before walking out of the bedroom.
Nic looked down at her husband in amusement. “I don’t think you realize what you’ve started.”
He scoffed. “They’re nine, and there’s two of them. How much trouble can they be?”
She patted his shoulder. “They’re also your daughters.” She walked back into the bathroom as Rafael looked back down at the petition.
The next morning was oddly quiet as Rafael and Nic woke up. Mariana and Freddie weren’t there to wake them up like usual, and for a moment Nic was worried they were sick. But neither were in their rooms, and as she went to check and see if the twins knew the whereabouts of their younger siblings, she realized they weren’t in their room either. With furrowed brows, they headed downstairs to the living room. It was there they saw the coffee table moved to the side and all four of their children sitting on the floor in front of the couch.
“What’s this?” Nic asked as she walked over to them.
“We’re exercising our right to protest,” Beth explained.
Her twin nodded in agreement. “We’re standing up against an oppressive authority.”
Rafael’s mouth fell open as his wife let out a laugh. “When I told you to use your rights I meant when you dealt with a dictator at school or the government, not me!”
“This is something that will benefit all of us,” Lina said, gesturing to Freddie and Mariana next to her. “And we’re not moving until you give in to our demands.”
“Viva la Revolución!” Freddie shouted.
“Viva la Revolución!” The twins and Mariana repeated.
Wide eyed Rafael looked at his wife, but Nic threw her hands up. “Hey, they’re protesting you, not me.” She bent down to look at her children, amusement evident on her face. “Would the revolution like to have breakfast down here?”
“Yes, please, Mami,” Beth replied, nodding.
Nic chuckled. “How about churro waffles?”
“With chocolate sauce!” Freddie requested excitedly.
“Coming right up.” Nic stood up and walked past her husband, patting his chest. “Good luck,” she whispered to him.
The kids sat there all day, opting to have all of their meals there. Rafael was surprised to find Freddie and Mariana so strong in their resolve, and it scared him for the years to come. Already the kids were proving to be a force to be reckoned with. Even when dinner arrived they didn’t budge.
“Alright, this has gone on all day. Come to the table and have dinner,” Rafael told them, arms folded. They didn’t move, Lina and Beth glaring up at him with determination in their eyes. “If you come to the table you can have ice cream after dinner,” he bribed.
Mariana and Freddie looked at each other then to the twins. “I want ice cream,” Mariana whispered.
“Stay strong,” Lina told them.
“Qué haría Dora?” Beth asked her little sister.
A look of intensity came over Mariana at the mention of her animated hero. “Mantener mi posición.”
The siblings nodded at each other before looking up at their dad.
“Comemos aquí abajo,” Beth replied to him.
He sighed heavily, marching into the kitchen where his wife was plating dinner. “Not even ice cream will get them up. What the hell do we do?”
“Give in?” Nic suggested, looking at him. “They’re stubborn like you are. I doubt they’ll move any time soon. And what harm would a tv do? We could always put a parental lock on it.”
“When the twins were born we agreed that any children we have would be allowed to have a tv once they were in middle school,” he reminded her.
“That was before they inherited your stubbornness.” She pointed the spatula at him. “Face it, Rafa. The kids have you beat.”
“Us. We’re supposed to be holding a united front.”
“For things like curfew and dating. In the grand scheme of things a tv is so… trivial.”
After dinner ended they still wouldn’t move. Rafael was close to admitting defeat, and he still wasn’t sure if he was scared or proud of his children.
“You know what? You talk some sense into them since they’re so much like me,” he told Nic. “I’m taking a shower.” He headed up the stairs.
“Have you gotten them up yet?” he asked as he walked down the stairs. He looked over to the couch and his mouth dropped open. Nic was sitting with them now. “What happened?” Rafael walked over to them.
“They really are very persuasive,” Nic told him as she sat beside Beth. “And honestly, I always wanted a tv in my room growing up. I think we should get them the tv.”
He gaped at her for a long moment, all four of the kids waiting for a reply from him. “You win.” he threw his hands up before putting them on his hips. “Me rindo. We’ll get you a tv in your room, but you’ll have to wait for your birthday.”
“Deal,” the twins agreed.
“Does this mean we can leave?” Freddie asked.
“Yep,” Beth told him.
“I have to pee!” Mariana yelled, getting up and running to the bathroom on that floor.
“Me too!” Freddie exclaimed, following his sister’s lead but heading to the second floor bathroom.
“I’ll use Freddie’s bathroom!” Lina said as she and Beth jumped up also to use the bathroom.
“We can shake on it after we get back!” Beth yelled as they ran up the stairs.
Nic and Rafael laughed, shaking their heads at their children. He walked over to where she sat on the floor and dropped next to her.
“Those kids are going to rule the world one day,” he joked, resting his head against hers.
She bumped his knee with hers. “And whose fault is that?”
“Ours,” he kissed her cheek, “for making such smart kids.”

@asongofstarkandtargaryen Me watching casually an advertaising on the TV of a new soap opera (I will not watch it because it will be very long and an episode airing daily almost every afternoon) then reading the plot and finding that the main pairing and their relationship is basically a Character swap AU of Julio and Alicia from Gran Hotel, but instead of 1905 it's 1913.
F(x)
F(-×)
Synopsis: "1913. The whole world is on the brink of the abyss, but there are havens of peace isolated from conflicts. Like the La Promesa Palace, in the Los Pedroches valley, owned by the Marquises of Luján, one of the largest landowners in the country.
The day the Palace is preparing to celebrate the wedding of the heir, Tomás (Jordi Coll), is interrupted by the appearance of an airplane that attracts everyone's attention. It is piloted by Manuel (Arturo Sancho, aka young Bernat in the first episodes of Los Herederos de la tierra), Tomás' younger brother. Suddenly, the device loses altitude until it crashes. Manuel is about to be consumed by the flames; but someone manages to save him: Jana (Ana Garcés).
The Marquis offers her a financial reward, but she only wants to work in the Palace and has a clear motive: to do justice to her mother, murdered fifteen years ago, and to investigate the whereabouts of her brother, kidnapped when he was a newborn. And the only clue that she has is related to the Marquises of Luján. The time has come for revenge. There is only one element that she had not counted on: Manuel, son of the Marquises... and the last person she would expect to fall in love with. Can love quench the thirst for revenge? Could you forget those who sank your life? To your mother's murderers? To those who made your brother disappear?".
Cast: Ana Garcés, Eva Martín, Arturo Sancho, Joaquín Climent, María Castro, Jordi Coll, Antonio Velázquez, Andrea del Río, Manuel Regueiro, Carmen Asecas, Alicia Bercán, Paula Losada, Carmen Flores, Teresa Quintero, Antonio Velázquez, Sara Molina and Enrique Fortún.
Jana, just like Julio, starts working as a servant for the rich family to investigate the disappearance of a sibling, and she meets and falls in love with Manuel, like Julio and Alicia fell in love with each other, and probably Manuel will eventually help Jana to solve the murder of her mother and to find her brother, in a similar way to Julio and Alicia figuring out the disappearance of Julio's sister.
In some kind of sense also La Promesa is something like Downton Abbey and Gran Hotel had a child together in a soap opera format😂 (Also Gran Hotel and La Promesa both are from Bambú Producciones)
(The series or films in which Bambú Producciones has been involved are Guante Blanco, Hispania: La leyenda, Gran Reserva, Gran Hotel, Marco, Imperium, Gran Reserva: El origen, El club de los incomprendidos, Velvet, Seis Hermanas, En tierras salvajes, Bajo Sospecha, La embajada, Las chicas del cable, Tiempos de guerra, Velvet Colección, Traición, Fariña, 45 revoluciones, A pesar de todo, Instinto, Alta Mar, Malasaña 32, Refugiados (The Refugees), El verano que vivimos, Jaguar, Un año, una noche, Un asunto privado, Dos Vidas, Now & then, La Promesa, 13 exorcismos, Nacho and Nosotros podemos. And some documentaries like Fraga y Fidel, sin embargo, American greyhounds, Lo que la verdad esconde: el caso Asunta, El crimen de Alcàsser, 800 metros, Bajo escucha: el acusado)
youtube
(This channel where I found the trailer has also some interesanting videos talking about some aspects of the historical context of La Promesa)

—Marcos, necesitamos tu ayuda —Maria dijo—.
