(10.) [Lewis] Judges, today I have for you a pea shoot salad with crumbled sausage, flatbread croutons, and a shakshuka sauce vinaigrette.

(13.) [Dulce] Oh, man.. at least the rest of the bowl looks pretty?

I don't think there's any type of media in any genre (except this one special brand of folk music that got me through my teen years and of course classical music in general) that possesses me as much as opera. From my fist Zauberflöte to That One Met Don Carlo to Pelly's Cendrillon to the entirety of what makes Les contes d'Hoffmann there's nothing else that has taken over my entire heart and soul in such a way. It's like Emily D'Angelo said, "opera is everything."

It's always weird to say this in real life because when I tell most people I love opera they're not sure how to respond because they either know very little about it or are stuck on the stereotypes. Which is why I love this place so much because even if I don't get many reblogs I'll get maybe 10 likes, but that 10 likes is 10 people telling me "I get it! I like that too!" which is more than I get irl.

I get so into it to an absurd degree, to the point that I can't just watch new productions without it being a whole thing. I have to set aside the entire day because I need to give myself room to react and process. That doesn't happen with anything else.

(2.) [Alex] I'm making a raclette with an assortment of merguez sausage, vegetable flatbread, pea shoots, and a side of shakshuka sauce. I think everything will go nicely with the melted cheese.

(3.) [Alex] I'll add ham, salami, steamed potatoes, and olives. I'm kind of playing it safe, but I hope the variety of flavors work out for me. It's all part of my strategy to at least get to the second round.

(4.) [Lewis] I've calmed down now. I decided to make a salad with pea shoots, crumbled sausage, flatbread croutons, and a shakshuka vinaigrette.

(5.) [Lewis] It's a salad. I can't possibly mess this up.... right?

(6.) [Dulce] I went with pizza wedges with a flatbread crust. They'll have shakshuka sauce, pea shoots, and merguez sausage. Of course, I'll be adding some mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

(7.) [Dulce] The pizza wedges are going to be soooo cute and fun. I'll also put some bacon bits and garlic. I can't put too many things, though. The wedges aren't going to be that big.

(8.) [Rubiya] I'm making spaghetti with merguez sausage meatballs, shakshuka sauce, and pea shoots. I'll add the vegetables from the flatbread to my sauce and use the rest of the flatbread to make garlic bread.

(9.) [Rubiya] Could I have made shakshuka? Yes, but that's rather predictable. Also, as someone from a Middle Eastern family, I refuse to use premade shakshuka sauce. I must make it from scratch.

Modena: 51 giovani iscritti ad "hackaton" la maratona creativa di "Energie libere" da lunedì 23 a mercoledì 25 ottobre. Sono 51 e hanno un'età media di 18 anni i giovani che da lunedì 23 a mercoledì 25 ottobre partecipano all'hackaton, una vera e propria "maratona creativa", sui temi della sostenibilità ambientale in programma al Laboratorio Aperto di viale Buon Pastore. Durante la tre-giorni i 35 ragazzi e le 16 ragazze iscritti all'attività, che rientra nel progetto "Energie libere" del Comune di Modena, possono ideare servizi e progetti utili ad agevolare le scelte di imprese e istituzioni; apprendere competenze soft, green e digital; avvicinarsi al mondo del lavoro, in particolare verso i "green jobs" e l'imprenditorialità verde. Per diventare, quindi, cittadini e lavoratori protagonisti dei processi di transizione ecologica del territorio. Al centro del progetto c'è dunque "l'energia dei ragazzi e delle ragazze – commenta l'assessore alle Politiche giovanili Andrea Bortolamasi – per la Modena del futuro: continua il nostro impegno per una città sempre più attenta alle giovani generazioni, offrendo loro occasioni di formazione e di rinnovato protagonismo". La quasi totalità dei giovani, 50 su 51, sono studenti delle scuole superiori (liceo Muratori – San Carlo e istituto Fermo Corni negli indirizzi Energia, Elettrotecnica e Biotecnologie ambientali); un iscritto studia a Unimore. L'attività si colloca nell'ambito di "Energie libere", il progetto triennale finalizzato a orientare e facilitare l'ingresso dei ragazzi e ragazze nel mondo del lavoro, offrendo loro occasioni per comprendere quali abilità e conoscenze sia necessario acquisire per lavorare su vari temi, tra cui, appunto, quelli della sostenibilità e della "green economy". L'hackaton si svolge in collaborazione con Art-Er e Cna Modena ed è sostenuto dalla Regione Emilia-Romagna. Durante la tre giorni del percorso, i giovani sono seguiti da due formatori di Art-Er, Marco D'Angelo e Luca Piccinno, e vengono accompagnati da alcuni imprenditori di riferimento di Cna verso l'approfondimento delle tematiche della sostenibilità e la soluzione delle sfide di carattere ambientale. Si tratta, in particolare, di Cesare Galavotti, presidente Cna Area nord, imprenditore del fotovoltaico; Benedetta Spattini, presidente Cna Commercio e turismo, titolare di un portale e-commerce verde e di un'attività di ospitalità extra-alberghiera; Lorenzo Guerzoni, presidente Giovani imprenditori Cna Modena, imprenditore nell'ambito del marketing e della comunicazione digitale; Emanuela Bertini, presidente Cna Comune di Modena e vicepresidente provinciale, imprenditrice nel settore del marketing e della comunicazione; Claudio Medici, presidente Cna Modena; Marco Malagoli, presidente di Cna Industria Modena, imprenditore nell'ambito dell'energia; Gennaro Petrillo, componente del consiglio di amministrazione di Cna Formazione. Ai giovani, organizzati in squadre, vengono sottoposte vere e proprio "challenge" da affrontare, cioè problemi - reali o di fantasia, lo decideranno gli organizzatori - legati ai temi della sostenibilità. In particolare, lunedì 23 si svolge il "training day", martedì 24 l'"hacking day" e mercoledì 25 il "pitching day". Mettendo in campo fantasia e creatività, e seguendo le indicazioni dei tutor e le informazioni degli imprenditori, i ragazzi devono proporre soluzioni alle diverse questioni affrontate, presentandole poi nella giornata finale davanti a una giuria. I primi tre team classificati ricevono come premio buoni per acquistare materiale alla Libreria Feltrinelli; per tutti i partecipanti sono previsti attestati di partecipazione e gadget preparati per l'occasione. "Energie libere" è sviluppato dall'assessorato alle Politiche giovanili come progetto itinerante destinato alle fasce giovanili della popolazione e alle associazioni del territorio con lo scopo di continuare a favorire la partecipazione attiva dei giovani nella comunità, coinvolgendo in particolare le nuove generazioni nei percorsi di sostenibilità. Le iniziative hanno un valore complessivo di 225mila euro, di cui oltre metà (quasi 128 mila euro) finanziati dalla Regione Emilia-Romagna. "Energie libere" si inserisce nel contesto delle Linee di indirizzo delle Politiche giovanili del Comune, che hanno come filo conduttore il protagonismo giovanile diffuso e trasversale all'azione dell'Amministrazione, a partire dai temi del lavoro, della formazione, dell'autonomia abitativa, dell'inclusione e del sociale, tematiche su cui sono in atto diverse azioni. Il pluripremiato autore televisivo, per Rai e Mediaset, volle creare un format totalmente nuovo. Eliminati elementi portanti del varietà classico quali le canzoni, gli ospiti e i balletti, creò un fortunato mix di generi, dalla sit-com al varietà, dagli effetti speciali alla satira politica, parodie, gag, barzellette e tormentoni. I vari momenti dello show si susseguivano a ritmo sostenuto tanto da non far sentire gli inserti pubblicitari come degli intrusi. Chi erano i comici di Drive In?
