This episode is a lot of fun, and there are some big developments.

Emma is really well used here. Her scenes are the best. She brings some of Richard’s private files to Chase and - in the episode highlight - uncovers the fact that Phillip Erikson has switched sides. A discovery that yields some great Angela-Phillip moments later in the episode.

Nothing that happens with Vickie or Cole is interesting. They’ve both managed to find very bland love interests. But Richard stealing Falcon Crest’s suppliers away is really good drama.

Chase continues to ostracised by everybody for trying to solve the murder. The big reveal in the closing seconds, with Angela in France, points the finger back towards Richard as the murderer!
