Caregiver!Eddie Munson Headcanons

Eddie would jump headfirst into being a caregiver. The guy wouldn’t even understand it for the first 3 months but would somehow treat his little perfectly (even if he wasn’t necessarily good at everything)

He can’t cook. Can’t do it! So get ready for dino nuggets and spaghetti-o’s. Cake mix also enters the occasion but Eddie also has a tendency of burning things. His little has eagerly watched him make pancakes only for Eddie to flip it over and it be completely black

Eddie is always tuned into how his little is feeling. Whether they’re tiny or bigger, sensitive to sounds or in the mood for his guitar, he’s quick to notice and catch onto their moods and feelings just by their body language

Super amazing pillow fort builder! He actually might even enjoy them more than his little. He almost seems to pull blankets out of thin air in his Uncle’s trailer, and the entire space becomes one giant fort to run and crawl around in

He’ll get his little’s favourite snacks fron the corner store and (hazardously) string up Christmas lights inside the fort to make it cozy for an evening of his narration of Lord of the Rings. He does a different voice for everyone, and dramatically acts out the chapters so well that his little feels like they’re watching a movie

Eddie has so many pet names for his regressor. His personal favourite is to call them his little Frodo, and when they cross their arms and say they like Aragorn more, he goes down on a knee and says, “Actually, I’M Aragorn. Sorry, kiddo.”

He dresses them up in his band tees! It fills him with visceral joy to pull a Metallica t-shirt over his little’s head. He also calls them a little metalhead. Along with baby, tiger, and really anything that brings a blush to their cheeks

Lots of hugs and cuddles. LOTS of them. Head pats are included, and so are piggyback rides. You name it, he’ll do it!

Eddie lets his little mess with his hair. Usually he hates anyone else touching it, but he’ll sit on the floor while they’re on the couch, patiently putting up with frequent tugging and funny looking pigtails

He’s also not strict at all. He doesn’t even have the heart to stop his regressor from chewing on their favourite stuffed animal because he’s too busy admiring the cuteness of it! He’ll also let them eat all the candy they want, and that includes belly rubs with an upset tummy afterwards

Very protective and willing to take his regressor wherever they want. The lake? Sure! Off to Family Video to rent Care Bears? He’ll slap a five on the counter in front of Steve and name his favourite Care Bear just to see the shock on Steve’s face while his little giggles
