[Yesterday I was thinking about what I wanted to do with Grif, something that was unlikely to make his low mood even worse. I had narrowed it down to two people I would like to send him to talk to.

Lemon continues to make them all a meal, their distorted voice quietly humming to themselves. The next few pages suddenly have the vigor of the earlier sections, meticulously explaining the circus. There’s drawings of a woman with a deck of cards for a torso, a person with void-black skin, four arms, and antennae, a small mime girl, and even Void and Dark. Seems that cloaking magic cloaked them drawing their companions. There are little notes beside each, often compliments, but occasionally bits of playful snark.

���Miss Cardlan, despite her insistence otherwise, does in fact sneak into the arcade consistently.”

“Miss Kade is very kind, but seriously needs to invest in security. No matter how much the universe pushes her into rivalries, they are always one sided and she is consistently oblivious.”

Thankfully, there are no birds up here. What is up here, however, are rain clouds, slowly gathering. It is spring, after all. Now and always.

*Dark hummed at the drawings in the book, and read a few of the notes on the other characters in the circus chucking at a few. Once she got to her own she smiled at it, she was happy that they enjoyed sharing their knowledge of botany with her. She then looked towards the door. Void had been gone for a while, he could handle himself just fine, but that didn’t stop her from being worried about him..*

*He shouted in frustration and immediately flew back to the ground, his cloak acting like a parachute to soften his landing as he looked around for some shelter without going back inside. He still didn’t wanna be in Dark’s presence at the moment, lest he lose his temper again and something worse happens.*
