It’s almost December, and I’m sure everyone is starting to work on their lists. In the next few days, I’ll be posting what *I* personally think are good gift ideas, specially if you’re unsure of what your receiver has already (people do accumulate a lot of stuff) or what they’re into. 😊

My first one is something I’m quite happy have made the rounds, specially during weddings.

The top two I actively support are @pawsphilippines and @lagunapitbullsmanila/@carawelfarephils and WFF Philippines. I need very little, but I definitely would appreciate any donations their way. No need to disclose the amount nor do so in my name. Anonymous is the way to go. 😊

I was in this amazing triathlete's home today for a dress fitting. More than a year ago, I handed her this gift from @carawelfarephils (photo by @petograpiya I believe) to thank her for raising more than a hundred thousand pesos for street animals through her 25 km swimathon dubbed Ultra Swim 2. More than a friend and a co-animal welfare advocate, @sanchez.hanna remains my hero and inspiration. Ironically, she also told me this photo has given her inspiration for a lot of things. Let's help this loving buddy, Ocean. 🐶 @carawelfarephils @pawsphilippines --- @Regrann from @thirdgarcia - Lately, I've been inactive on social media after Tubbataha season because I've been sorting a lot of stuff. It came as a real shock when Ocean (@oceanthemalamute) was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at a very young age of 10 months. Hip dysplasia is a malformation in the ball and socket joints. The ball portion of Ocean's femur does not fit snugly into his hip socket which causes the painful rubbing and grinding of joints instead of having a free range of motion. Seeing him limp is really painful to watch. After visiting 4 vets, we decided to have him operated as all vets advised surgery. The other option is to keep him on continued anti-inflammatory and painkiller medication but this will affect his kidney in the long run. Ocean is a lovely and playful puppy and I cannot stomach the fact that he could be robbed off of his freedom to efficiently move at a very young age.
