Bucky rolled his eyes. “We didn’t have supervision and we turned out fine.” More laughter.

“That is strange. Perhaps you both should avoid downtown for a while. Do you have the tape on you?” Belle asked him.

WandaVision: Back in the 90s

He walked up to the home from work. He waved to his neighbor Wanda, who was playing with her kids in their front yard. The neighbor on his other side was a young man who roomed with his best friend. Their names were Gaston and LeFou. Gaston didnt seem to like Steve much, but he really liked talking to Belle.

Steve enterted his home and into the the living room. There was was clapping from an invisible audience when he entered. He found it werid, but it happened each time they entered a room for the first time.

He walked over to his pregnant wife who was on the couch reading. He stood behind her then leaned down to kiss her on the cheek. There was awws from the invisible audience.

On the floor their son was playing Super Mario on his Game Boy.

Belle was riding with her friend Ruby when they saw him appear in the middle of the street. They quickly stopped and got out.

“Hey, hey are you alright?” Belle asked, rushing to his side and handing him a bottle of water.

“What were you doing in the road?” Ruby asked.

Steve ended up in the TVA due to attempting to go back in time to be with Peggy Carter. He got to see her, talk to her and even dance with her. He felt so happy and at peace in that moment. Happiness and peace never lasts long for him.

He was brought to the TVA. Eventually they explained their plan for him, to erase him from existence. So he ran like hell. He knocked out anybody who came after him and managed to steal a TemPad. He used this to hide in an alternative universe.

He ended up in a place called Story Brooke. He had landed in the middle of the street and he could see the sign.

Belle grinned as she watched her son get on the bus. "They grow up so fast... Speaking of did you talk to Wanda...it's getting near the anniversary and I'm a little worried for her."

James rushed into his parents bedroom early one morning. He climbed onto the bed and shook his parents awake.

“You got to come quick something bad happened!” James shouted. “I’m sorry I did something bad! I’m sorry, come fix it!”

Steve turned to Belle. “Come on let’s see what’s wrong.”

He looked over to his son who had a look on his face of terror and sadness.

“What’s going on?“Steve asked worried.

“Come see!” James answered, pulling on Steve’s hand and trying to get him out of bed.

Steve immediately got our of bed and followed his son to his room. There he saw a broken lamp on the floor and some broken draws on his dresser.

“I’m sorry!” James repeated. “I don’t know what happened. I was practing using my powers like Emma taught me. I was levitating the lamp but I couldn’t get it to stay in the air too long and it smashed onto the floor. Then I tried to open the draws with my power but out of nowhere a blast came out of my hands and hit the dresser. I didn’t mean to break it.”

"She would always read to me from this book," Belle blushed sheepishly. "Her Handsome Hero."

“What do you mean no magic? I clearly can’t reverse her forgetfulness. What if I wish to give her a gift? I am the Dark One after all.” Rumple reasoned. “Secondly I’ll give you a month but she must not know about this deal and if she does know, she knows the idea came from the boy. Not from me.”

“I don’t like putting magic in the mix and I think with magic can come problems and complications.” James answered. He did not trust Rumpelstiltskin and his power. He feared if he was given the okay to use magic he would create a spell to make her choose him or to sway her in some way. He didn’t trust that rumple would play fair if magic was in the mix. “I would like to keep that rule as is. I agree with her not knowing of the plan, though, that could make things awkward or complicate things further. Anything else?”

“One last question. Where, pray tell, will she stay?” Rumple asked, hoping it was his castle.

“I think a neutral location would be best. Maybe Story Brooke? Both you and Steve have ties there. You both lived there for extended periods of time, it’s a place Belle considers home. Plus there will be people who could make sure all the rules are followed on both parts.”

Rumple thought about it. “Yes but Belle grew up here. If we go by that logic how about a land neither of us have lived in? We can bring those people in to regulate.” He suggested.

“That could be okay. Where did you have in mind?” James asked, a little wary of this new proposal, but thought it couldn’t hurt. He knew Rumple liked to have control or at least think he had control. As long as he agreed to the deal and the terms, James felt this plan could work.

“Perhaps New York, Paris, or perhaps Asgard?” Rumple suggested.

“New York could be a good option.” Steve interrupted, careful to not sound too eager. 

Steve would love it if he could have Belle stay in New York with him for awhile. It was the place were he grew up and where he lived for so long, it was his home and a place where he felt the most comfortable. He wondered with all Rumple`s knowledge why he put that down as an option, to Steve it seemed he would have an advantage in New York. 

“Its a big place so i`m sure some of the citizens of Story Brook could find some temporary living in the city.” Steve continued. “Plus I know a lot of them have been curious about it from the stories I have told them.”

“I will bring your wife home as well as my husband. Keep my mother in law safe please. I know how important this all is.” Belle nodded to Snow and headed for the stables and grabbed Philipe. “Hop on.” She told Snow

You are welcome to stay here with me as everyone goes off to war…tomorrow… I-I wish we had more time. What were things like for you when you married?” She asked as she got her gown and began to change.

“The kingdom is this way.” Belle told her and led the way, even racing past the sheriff that tried to stop them. “This is as close as I dare bring the horses.” She told her, dismounting and tiding the horse up. “I need to save my husband and my father.” She saw a few wounded and pointed. “Alas poor Yorik. Your weapons will not be in vain.”

Belle held him close. “I believe you.” She nudged him to help greet the wounded soldiers. Help them get water and fluff their pillows. After a while the doctors approached them. They told them he will survive but it could take him months to heal properly has he had a few sprains and deep cuts. Belle held Steve for comfort. “Thank you.” She told them with tears in her eyes. They were then encouraged to go find a nice place and enjoy their new marriage.

As they lived in their happily cramped shelter house finding alone time was, difficult, but the time with family was worth it. Her father and Steve’s mother became friends. Her former home had become ruins save for a few corridors and half the library. She suggested they rebuild.

Better yet it grew to become an expedition as suggestions and help grew. They would go and have a honeymoon and look for materials and rebuild their home. Belle hugged everyone and got in the carriage that held their things. When she and Steve were finally alone she said. “I think this is the first time we’ve been alone since our wedding.”

“How were things at the office?” Belle asked after giving him a kiss. “Also are you hungry?” She asked, standing over a skillet. “This time I think I’ve done better than burnt ham, chicken, fish, pasta, bread. I’m cooking us a thanksgiving turkey.” She heard invisible laughter. Weird but continued to watch Steve as they spoke.

They had been looking for new homes, when Belle suggested they rebuild the palace. Steve wanting to make his wife happy, and also wanting to get out of the shelter home, agreeded to the idea.

Steve was glad to finally get some alone time with his wife. Time for them to relax and enjoy each other's company. He loved Sarah and Maurice but having them around didn't make for a romantic setting for the couple.

Steve had alot of surprises planned for this trip. He wanted Belle to know how much he loved and appreciated her.

"We weren't even alone at the wedding." He remarked with a chuckle. "I know it's been difficult with everything going on. I want this trip to be our time to forget some of the stresses of home and enjoy each other. I love you so much and I want to make you happy."
