Can I just say, I love your icon so much!!! And, what are your overall thoughts on Dabi?

Ahh thank you so much!!! It’s by @coquirii! 

I talk a lot about Dabi haha. He’s one of my favorites in BNHA (I like a lot of the villains, raise your hand if you’re shocked) regardless of theories about his past (but I do strongly think he’s a Todoroki because of how well it works narratively/how tight it makes the narrative). I wrote these posts here and here about what I think of him as a character regardless of his past! 

Honestly he just checks so many boxes of what I like in characters. Edgelord? Check. Goth aesthetic? Check. Angsty? Check. Self-righteous and unaware of his own flaws leading to more potential angst and also delicious development? Check. Mysterious? Check. Angry murder child? Check. Quite possibly a heartbreaking past regardless of what it is? Check. As a bonus he even foils my favorite character (Shouto).

Kaneki trying to name the baby something out of a book and Touka just fucking going against it.

LOL But this is something I want to see happen. I want them to have a “discussion” about what to name their kid. It’s obvious Touka wants Kaneki to really help with the name because, as she said, she sucks at Japanese, but I want Kaneki to actually come up with names that downright make her question judgement about leaving him in charge of the name haha. It would be hilarious, tbh. I feel like Kaneki would throw out names to tease her and get a reaction out of her. Like, he’ll show her a list of names (and I’m horrible with names so I won’t attempt to make them up) from the books he’s read, his horror/romance books he’s been into all his life and they’re awful and Touka will scrunch up her face and she will tell him as she points to the list, “We are not naming our kid that…or that…definitely not that…that name sounds like cabbage…what the hell is that name?…Sasako?!…Kaneki, these names suck. They’re even worse than Tsukiyama’s.” And she’s just thinking oh God, what have I done leaving this man in charge of our child’s name. But it just makes Kaneki laugh as he pulls out the real list of names, “You can be so funny, Touka-chan.” And Touka is just rolling her eyes and jabbing him at his side playfully, holding back her own laugh. She looks over the real list and she starts to get serious. Kaneki has actually made a pretty long list of names, girl and boy names, unisex names…but they’re all written with their meanings next to them and their beautiful names…sentimental names, names that have a lot of thought and love put into them. Kaneki comes up behind her, resting his chin over her shoulder, looking over the list with her. He’ll point out to some of the names and tell her that so and so name means this, but if they add in this kanji the name can mean this instead. Suddenly Kaneki will feel Touka shaking a little and she’s so quiet, he starts to worry that he’s actually come up with awful names. “Touka-chan?” He shifts slightly to try to see her face. She’s turned red and there’s tears in her eyes. Oh, now he’s done it. But she sniffs, trying to keep herself together, trying to not get too emotional, but she’s failing. “These are beautiful, Kaneki…” She gives him a smile and the biggest smile appears on his face, such a smile that even his eyes are smiling with him. And she gives him a kiss, seeing how much thought into their child’s name…how much love he has for their baby already…she’s fallen for him even more. 

And goddamn, this got long. I’m sorry. But the feels. Wah.

honestly, no. I can believe that it is easy to form a bond with someone whom you just met but for me, love is something that needs a lot of work, time and dedication. saying “i love you” is easy but proving these words requires a lot of effort and enduring a lot.

Touken run a bookstore. Any hcs? (I'm. Spamming today sorry)

LMAO because I work at a bookstore. :P Damn, this is a good one though.

Kaneki and Touka run a small bookstore. And by small I mean it’s not owned by a company, but it’s like a “moms and pops” bookstore though it’s still spacious. 

Kaneki takes pride in the literature section, especially horror (and romance). He’s the one who constantly orders books to add to the section (customers compliment the fact that there’s titles you won’t find anywhere else but here) and he’s always making sure it’s in order. 

Sometimes he’s caught in the aisle reading. Touka will pop up behind him, startling him. She’ll ask what book has caught his attention and he’ll show her and tell her all about it, which amuses her because he’s so passionate about it. She loves that about him.

But she also tends to make him flustered any chance she gets.

At one point Kaneki is caught reading a new romance book and Touka catches him. He immediately tries to pretend he wasn’t reading it, just skimming through it. Touka knows better. She’ll rest her chin on his shoulder and reach from behind him to open the book to the page he was “skimming through” and she’ll start to read it out loud. “His breath against her skin was driving her wild as his hand around her wrists tightened. She could feel his free hand cupping her through her drenched underwear, letting a finger run along where her slit was through the fabric and she could hear how wet she was as he groaned against the side of her neck…” Touka reads in a lustful voice that causes Kaneki to shiver. This is not the type of romance books Touka knows Kaneki reads, but curiosity really did get the best of him. “Kaneki, does this turn you on?” She asks him playfully into his ear. Kaneki gulps, “N–No! I–I told you…I was just…” He’s too flushed. It’s too endearing. Touka takes the book and continues to read until Kaneki is left making a strained groan and that’s not the only thing straining…but she leaves him like that for the rest of the day until they get home. And that’s when Kaneki gets a bit of revenge on Touka for her having teased him and left him aching all day. “So, you were turned on?” She’s amused. “Because of you, Touka. The way you sounded…the way I imagined you being in that position…telling me how it felt.” He has her pinned up against the wall. There’s a sense of urgency in his expression, he’s in pain and she can feel it against her hip. She lets a wicked grin cross her face, “Then do something about it, Kaneki. Skim me like you did that book.” She jabbed at him, making him shake his head and stifle a laugh as he pins her wrists above her head and lets his hand work on her shorts.

Sex happens accidentally at the bookstore. One time it was purely because they were in the mood and Kaneki ended up taking her over a table before they opened the shop. Another time Kaneki lets jealousy get the best of him after seeing Touka get chatty with a customer. She can see Kaneki is watching and she plays with him. After she’s done with the customer Kaneki pulls her aside to a bit of a secluded area of the shop, but at any time a customer could walk by. Kaneki admits he hates what he’s feeling, but hated how that customer eyed her, as if he wanted to make her his. “I’m yours, Kaneki.” Touka tells him as she kisses him. Kaneki realizes that and apologizes, but Touka doesn’t let go of him. “Make me yours” She says lustfully. Kaneki is surprised, but all it takes is some more whispering, a bit of her hands touching him in the right places and he can’t hold himself back anymore. Being in public, he doesn’t care anymore and neither does she.

There is also something Touka loves doing which is grabbing a sex position book and walking up to Kaneki while he’s with a customer and she’ll pretend she’s a customer too and quickly interrupt, “Excuse me, I need your opinion, would you do this with your girlfriend?” And she’ll flash the explicit page to Kaneki and his customer. Both of them gasp. Kaneki is so red. Touka smiles. “I’ll take that as a yes.” And she walks away.

But it’s not all about sex as much as my mind keeps going there. Kaneki and Touka have some really nice moments to themselves when the customer traffic is slow.

Kaneki often reads to Touka, which always keeps her entertained. 

They talk in general, hopes and dreams, to the future. Touka mentions how she wants to get back into school and she does, but still works at the store. Kaneki acts as a tutor for her sometimes, helping her with her work while at work lol. 

Touka actually has storytimes! She will have a specific day of the week where she will read a book for kids. She usually has a big group of kiddos and they adore her. Kaneki will sometimes be part of the audience, but from afar, watching her. His heart flutters to see how good she is with children…making him think about what it would be like to be a parent, to have a child or several with Touka. He wants to be with her for the rest of his life…

Both of them brew coffee at the store! Yep, it’s just something they do early at morning for themselves and for some of the regulars they have in the morning.
