And before anyone starts saying 'well yes but they need to promote both things' go to both their pages when black widow premied. Even though the last episode of loki was airing at the same time (the most expected one), their published almost (if not more) about the movie, cause as much as I love the series, the mcu sell with the movies so of course they're gonna promote them more. And this is without talking about how they've replaced the captain america social medias with captain carter even though WE HAVE a captain America.

Second, in MoM, why do you think Wanda only reacted to Captain Carter's death?

A thousand million thousand apologies. I meant to do this weeks ago and then kept not-doing it, because I wanted to actually check something.

Blessedly, MoM comes with a commentary track, which makes my self-indulgent, fan theory answer to this canon. From the commentary re Peggy's death:

"You have to imagine that moment hurts Wanda. She's close to Steve, she would've known Peggy--known of her."

That was/is legitimately my answer, I would've been more long-winded about it.

Except Sam Captain America isn't what's coming out this week or even this year, what is coming out this week is Peggy's episode of What if.

yeah, that's not what I was talking about. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be promoting What If and Captain Carter, I'm not even saying they should be promoting Sam rn, I'm saying that the amount of promotion being done for Captain Carter (a (white) character who is going to be in one episode of one show) compared to what they did for Sam (who is one of the title characters of an entire show, who is taking on the mantle of one of the most iconic characters in Marvel, and is going to be the title character of his own movie soon) is way out of proportion.

an example? Captain Carter is the pfp for the Captain America twitter account right now. They changed it from Sam. They changed the main focus of that account from Sam, who is Captain America, to Peggy...who is not Captain America.
