siren’s masterlist + bio
Tumblr media
hi, my name’s siren— i’m 24 years old and write primarily about ATEEZ, but i’ll branch out from time to time. i’ll probably share some random blips and writings (journal entries, poetry, confessions) ambient sounds i record, and non-fanfiction based content on here as well. i think my existence is a fair balance between a chaotic, depraved, and primordial evil— and silent melancholia. some random facts about me, down below. (MDNI, this is an 18+ page.)
•i’m a “somewhat” polyglot— a rather lame one. i have commitment issues, and i can’t seem to care enough about anything to finish it sometimes—but i’m at an intermediate level in several languages. (korean, japanese, mongolian, spanish, etc.)
•i write a list of inanimate objects and concepts i relate to on a daily basis. i also enjoy recording ambient sounds of places i frequent.
•my current read is a fiction novel called “the ten loves of mr. nishino” by hiromi kawakami. i’ve been doing lots of reading, as of late. i can get through three (albeit, 12 point large font) books in a day.
•i go by any pronouns— literally here to exist.
•i like fancy canned fish and cold tomatoes—but i hate marinara and cooked tomatoes. unsure why, really.
•my family tree’s from all over the world, but let’s just keep it simple, and say that i’m filipino, spanish, and native american.
•i like listening to music that makes me feel like sacrificing boys under full moons + music in different languages, dialects, etc.
•my go-to cigarette brand is capris and i stick to the indigo 120’s. i hate non-menthols because they taste like kissing an ugly man, and menthols remind me of the time i kissed a girl and she spat her gum in my mouth. i liked that. therefore, i only smoke menthols. haha
•i play the electric guitar (acoustic is cool, too) and a little bit of bass. i’m kind of shit at it. i can sub-vocal but i refuse to be a steady frontman.
•i flirt as one would breathe air. (i am my fathers daughter)
•i travel often, and make it a point to move somewhere new every year/year and a half. i’m also a documentary film-student, whilst simultaneously having a big girl job.
•i write fanfiction as writing practice, and since i love ateez—character building comes easily, because it feels like i already have a template. eventually, i’d like to write my own stories, once i get comfortable developing my own characters from scratch.
•erotica’s cool and i like the human body— from the perspective of an artist.
•if you couldn’t tell, news flash—i’m kind of hot.

artapprentice!seonghwa x muse!reader x famouspainter!yeosang (18+!!)
⋆.˚✮summary: park seonghwa is a newly appointed art apprentice studying under kang yeosang, a prolific painter who’s infamous for his intensely controversial and erotic oil paintings. when he meets y/n, yeosang’s one and only muse and object of obsession—seonghwa is seduced into a decade long affair of yearning for another man’s muse he cannot touch.
for the thrill of the hunt (m): smut, comedy, angst, fantasy/supernatural, fluff
ancientvampire!reader x ancientvampire!seonghwa x prey!wooyoung/ pokerplayer!wooyoung
summary: being an ancient vampire sucks, sometimes—both literally and figuratively.
when seonghwa refuses to feed and forces himself into a deep slumber after declaring that he’s unwilling to face the painful boredom of everyday life, you’re forced to devise a delicious plan that’s heinous enough to awaken your very mopey husband. this is why jung wooyoung— a world star poker player with not only a great mug to pair with his skills, but the world’s rarest blood type, golden blood— gets a big red x on his photo that you shoddily pin onto the wall of your dining room when your frustrated efforts at getting your husband to stop moping grow frantic. your villainous husband— not one to opt out of a well crafted game, rises to join you on this particular excursion.
the mission?
play an all stakes game of cat and mouse with jung wooyoung’s life
for the thrill of the hunt.

the sandbox chronicles (m):

summary: growing up in a small coastal town, seo rina and the bangtan boys quickly become attached at the hip when most of the population was well over fifty years old. the plan? get out of this fucked up town, move to the big city, and live inseparable from each other.
four years later, rina and the bangtan boys are big shot seniors in university on the precipice of boyhood and the impending doom of the unknown future, all whilst being forced to confront the sins of their youth they’d thought were buried—only for it to crawl out of its grave.
i mean, how much can you hide from the people closest to you anyways
…right?

Omega Radio’s 50 Years Of Hip-Hop. When the ‘Brentwood Era’ started, I had the dial on WBLS, one of New York City’s hip-hop / rap stations. It not only signified the first-ever genre I’d pay close attention to, but also signified the beginning of personal cassette dubbing.
For a few years, I’d record as much as possible off to the right of the dial, then later on Hot 97 and Kiss FM. I’d capture Kid Capri, Kool DJ Red Alert, Funkmaster Flex, and Ed Lover, Dr. Dre, and T-Money of Yo! MTV Raps. Running concurrently was In Living Color, a rap-centric die-laughing comedy show that introduced us to the Wayans Brothers, Homey The Clown, Fire Marshall Bill, The Homeboy Shopping Network, and more. My formative years listening to hip-hop / rap lasted as long from middle school to graduating senior year. There’s no shortage of mostly positive memories in Brentwood, in thanks to all of my cassette dubs from that era.
I returned to hip-hop / rap when I discovered WUSB a few years later and stumbled upon one of their shows, Ghetto Radio, who showed me a more underground side of things. Street FM, Eminent Audio, and The Basement practically changed my life because they introduced me to sampling culture, forever opening up a new world in getting to know more about myself. As soon as I became a Stony Brook student, I inquired about joining the station. Now, I became a dee-jay and gave back to our listeners the same way WUSB gave to me. It wasn’t until my second run at the station (Winter 2013) when I started Omega Radio and took my show more seriously.
For 11 years, we’ve taken every chance we get to play hip-hop / rap. Our shows started when we did a five-hour bonus broadcast to usher in a new year: classic Seventies’ vinyl classics on New Year’s Eve, then three hours of the rough stuff on New Year’s. Since then, we paid it forward by delivering all-time legends (The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac), more golden-era cuts (EPMD, A Tribe Called Quest, Monie Love), the Eighties (Kool Moe D, MC Shan, Eric B & Rakim, classic old-school moments (Whodini, Sugar Hill Records, Afrika Bambaata), and even white-label underground releases (Lo-Down Click, Erule, Brother Arthur). Let’s not forget the ladies of the game, either (Queen Latifah, Monie Love, MC Lyte, and Yo-Yo to name a few).
Later on, we introduced deluxe editions of our shows consisting of golden-era legends still doing their thing (KRS-One, Onyx, Dres of Black Sheep), backpack artists (Jedi Mind Tricks, R.A. The Rugged Man, the Griselda camp), beat tapes (Fuzzoscope, All These Fingers), and newer artists (clipping., Danny Brown, Obnox, Dabrye). We also made some legend specific tributes for Public Enemy, N.W.A. (edited for FCC quality-control), and The Wu-Tang Clan, which happened to be Omega’s most popular show to date. As long as it isn’t Kanye West or TekashiSixNine, we’re good.
The good news? There’s no sign of up stopping. We’ll continuously re-visit our golden-era finds until they’re depleted, and may even consider re-introducing our white-label bonus shows. And we’ll still play our new, current, and relevant hip-hop, rap, and backpacker finds on our deluxe shows.
Found below is each and every hip-hop / rap broadcast Omega WUSB has broadcast up until this point. We urge you to check them all out. Want to re-visit an era with the most creative freedom? Any artists you missed out on? Trying to find a one-hit wonder you want to make a legend out of? No worries. We have you covered.
Here’s to fifty more years of hip-hop - and you can all thank DJ Kool Herc for that.

MOVIE REVIEW
I will criticize “ Passengers” movie.“Passengers" is a actually science fiction-romantic film directed by Marten Tyldum and starring Oscar winner Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. And It tells basically the story of what happened on the spaceship “ The Avelon “, which set off from Earth to a planet called Homestead 2 with 255 crew and 5000 passengers, after being hit by a meteor.
Norwegian, Marten Tylum has made many successful films. Such as Jack Ryan, Counterpart, Defending Jacob, Last Days of Night and The Imitation Game: Enigma. And with that film, He were awarded “The Capri-Hollywood Film Festival Best Director”.
There are two main characters in the movie. One is a girl Aurora Lane who is a journalist and writer (Jannifer Lawrence) and the other leading character is Jim Preston who is a mechanical engineer ( Chris Pratt). These two people are trying to go to a very distant colony called Homestead 2 on a spaceship which is called “The Avalon “ with five thousand passengers and two hundred fifty five crew which, lasts one hundred and twenty years. Aurora, Jim and other passengers are put to sleep in specially designed "sleep capsules" in order to continue their lives in a healthy way for these 120 years. However, in the 30th year of the journey, although this spaceship is resistant to external damage, while passing through the Asteroid belt, a meteorite collision damages the ship, and as a result, this causes in a malfunction in which Jim Preston’s wakes up 90 years before He is supposed to on time. One day, after a year alone, Jim notices Aurora, who is a beautiful girl. As He is so bored of being alone , decides to wake her up. As time goes by, Jim and Aurora begin to get closer. However, when Aurora learns that she was woken up by Jim, she is greatly disappointed and things begin to change like never before.
In my opinion, if we don't consider it as science fiction, it is a pretty good and a very moving film.It is a captivating film that including drama and romance but as I said, Unfortunatly, I cannot say the same for the science fiction part. There were also minor logical errors, such as there is only one auto doctor for 5000 passengers. This is just an example, there are many more. And finally, my least favorite part is that the movie ended in a very ordinary way. The ending could have been more remarkable in my opinion. As for the features that I liked are: The plot was very good, that is, unlike the popular movies on the current market, the plot was original. The visual effects were so beautiful, it felt like you were in the movie. Also, I found the harmony of the actors very successful, in terms of both in type and character. Since the two are already Oscar-winning actors, you feel this in the movie and the movie reaches even higher levels.
If you don't keep your expectations just like a science fiction movie, you will like it very much. Otherwise, frankly, you may be disappointed. My rating for the movie is 7.5/10. If you want a movie with an original plot, good actors, and neither a complete science fiction nor complete love movie, this movie is for you.
