“Look what they did to our reservation. We spent two years working hard on it. Now our village is in flames. They weren’t satisfied with destroying the river, with our sources of life, and now they set our village on fire. We are not going to stay quiet. We will shut down the highway & we want the media to come defend us.” . . . . The fires in the Amazon are no accident. The moment Bolsonaro's fascist regime took office in Brazil he praised the genocide of Indigenous people. These fires are being set to illegally deforest the Amazon for industrial use and are an act of genocide. Our Mother's lungs are on fire and the fire is fueled by capitalism and greed. Violence against the land begets violence against our women, our children- against our future. Earlier this month we saw over 2,000 Indigenous women rise to stand up against his fascist regime protesting the unjust treatment of their lands and their bodies- his attacks have gotten worse . . . . #amazonrainforest #amazon #Repost @indigenousrising with @get_repost #capitalismisterrorism #disruptthenarrative #thewrongamazonisburning https://www.instagram.com/p/B1eQyI9lqDx/?igshid=esyxt05ik2rv

“The current crisis is a culmination of more than a year of violent protests, and the product, in part, of political acrimony that has seized the nation since Mr. Moïse, a businessman, took office in February 2017 following an electoral process that was marred by delays, allegations of voter fraud and an abysmal voter turnout. Outrage over allegations that the government misappropriated billions of dollars meant for social development projects provided the initial impetus for the protests. But opposition leaders have sought to harness the anger to force his ouster, calling for his resignation and the formation of a transitional government. The protests intensified in early September, at times turning violent and bringing the capital, Port-au-Prince, and other cities and towns around the country to a standstill.” Excerpt NYT #haitinews #turmoil #poorpeoplesprotest #capitalismisterrorism #stopandthink #decolonizeyourmind #dominicanslovehaitians https://www.instagram.com/p/B4PtU_RF6Nw/?igshid=1dmh46kmarpdx

This is an anti corruption movement. This is an anti capitalism movement. This is an anti imperialism movement. This is a poor people’s movement. And they are done with forced Presidents, puppets of the United States, continuing to take from the people. #decolonizeyourmind #haitinews #poorpeoplescampaign #upliftblackpeople #capitalismisterrorism #dominicanslovehaitians https://www.instagram.com/p/B4NVlq_FUIB/?igshid=1bxwt2cv6hm37

Fires have been burning for centuries. We are at the brink of no return. Capitalism doesn’t work. What are we going to do to have these corrupt politicians understand that? #thewrongamazonisburning #thewrongiceismelting #capitalismisecologicalwarefare #capitalismisterrorism https://www.instagram.com/p/B1g8g98FdsA/?igshid=1coz26hxp6ulp
