So, I saw yer new artwork, and Imma now giggling and kicking my feet, cuz you made me to fall in love with Atanas AGAIN

I was just wondering, cuz I haven't seen him in a while, does he have lore? 👀👀 All of your OCs are fascinating, but, well, just got curious

Atanas is one of a number of automatons, dubbed "nephilim", built by Ube with minor collaboration from Tella as like.. living suits of armor/guardians. They provide companionship and accompany Tella on certain routes around the underground - this isn't because Tella is indefensible its actually because hes prone to shutting down entirely (literally off switch due to battery life) and cant just be parking it unconsciously in an otherwise hostile environment. Ube is actually not physically present 100% of the time (hello LDR projection) so Tella is often straight up alone* Atanas, like his fellow creations are truly inorganic but uncannily so. He's not the first or last of his kind, he's just the one I've drawn more than one time and has a more bellicose demeanor. Others have gone by the names Zadkiel, who happens to be the first and is themed around the idea of a reliquary that protects important and precious echoflowers, Eadric, Nereus, Desolas, Rohan, etc more names just arbitrarily cooked up as I make designs. Like... they're not children they're not literal offspring but you'll see me use that term now and then because its funny also because of the base concept being nephilim biblically. They're actually combined fragments of Ubetella's personalities and artistry both in structure and in ingenuity ie some are musically adept others are heavy lifting types for repairs around the cathedral, like basically if Ube and/or Tella decided to spec into specific branches of their own skill trees but like each Nephilim representing a different branch I guess? I'm deliberately dancing around this because its a more recently designed mechanic in our world building and I don't want it to get misinterpreted sdgjkdsg. But anyways, Atanas himself doesn't have a whole lot fleshed out really we haven't invested too much into any of them really other than overall aesthetic/visual concepts. Like "oh this would be a cool design to see roaming around hanging out with Tella". We do know hes got a lot of the stoicism - but make it too serious - of Ube with a really unfortunate set of Tella's insecurities so he just kinda has a resting stink face a lot. *Trapped is not the right word but in this particular expy blorboverse its important to imagine if the Barrier were like.. reinstated with some stragglers in the underground for "reasons" - wont get into this on blast cause its kinda long winded and unimportant to the current state that Tella exists in anymore; just was important prior to 2019.
