I think for the most part its good it definitely has its problems and I don't know who wrote the last comic tie in but I would personally like to fight them - apart from that it's really just meant to be fun comedic exaggerated take of a bunch of dc characters written by a group of people who clearly love the source material

I think the choice to leave out tim was hilarious tho I think it would be better if they added in steph next season so truly the only Robin left out is Tim make my day honestly

Super Short Reviews: Fall tv pt. 1

Mayans M.C. (FX) – I never watched Sons of Anarchy so I cant compare the quality of the original to the spin off... but this seems like solid masculine fare to me.  JD Pardo is a master scowler.  Edward James Olmos makes you feel guilty about anything bad you have even done.  Nice to see a show that actually looks like what I see in real life.

You (Lifetime) – ohhhhhhhhhh yes. For every bad / campy / creepy Lifetiime movie you’ve ever loved, now you have a series!!   Who doesnt love a sociopath?  Especially one who’s Penn Badgley and is nice to little kids.  The ingenue is perfect in her execution of annoying – I hope she meets a bad end.

The Purge (USA) – cable’s answer to the Handmaid’s Tale?  (society collectively agreeing to participate in appalling activities)  … orrrrrrr all your revenge fantasies come to fruition?  Everyone is bat shit crazy except the leads.  Yopu decide who you want to root for.  Expanded from the ceonceit of the films.

The Rel (Fox) – oh wow that laugh track.  Bad.  Really Bad.  Its like a time machine back to 90s sitcoms.  Which is too bad because I do have high hopes for Rel Howery.  Please get rid of the laugh track.

AHS: Apocalypse (Fox) – Where are the witches?  I was promised witches.  Im never a fan of being weird for the sake of being weird... but I guess I’ll have to keep watching if I want to get to the Supreme Cordelia.  The waiting makes me irritated.  I hope its worth it.

I Feel Bad (NBC) – yay diversity!  An Irish actress that’s not Sharon Hogan!  Oh wait, she’s gone by the second episode.  Darn.  Anyway Paul Adelstein is still really cute and misogyny is apparently ok if its nerd misogyny.  (Are nerds everywhere not offended by this?)  Another notch in the belt of the trend that is make fun of one specific minority.  (Are minorities everywhere offended by this?)

Sorry For Your Loss (Facebook) – almost as much fun as watching paint dry but without the delicious smell. Disappointing considereing the excellent cast including Janet Mcteer and Kelly Marie Tran.  I guess If you are in the midst of a huge personal loss and grief this might be the show for you.  Otherwise you’ll be ready to head off to your nearest paint counter.

Manifest (NBC) – Josh Dallas gets his own show!!!  (ok so not really because its an ensemble piece, but i adore tv him.)  This is one of those great LOST type shows with compelling characters and an inherent supernatural mystery...  Are you sucker enough to watch?  Duh yes!!  Plus Its Josh Dallas!

Magnum P.I. (CBS)  – The most ridiculous opening to a television show ever and I loved every second of it.  If the writers can keep that sense of humour going and Jay Hernandez can keep those dimples gleaming, this is gonna be a huge hit.  And they kept the cars and the original theme song!  As with all CBS shows, keep that remote in your hand so you can constantly adjust the volume.  Damn those cars are LOUD.

New Amsterdam (NBC) – If all the other medical shows aren’t enough for you or somehow just aren’t doing it for you... here you’ll find some full on completely impractical and unrealistic liberal storylines to make you happy cry.  This ship is captained by the lovely face of Ryan Eggold, with a sold crew of seasoned character actor diversity on the deck.  Stand out performances by Tyler Labine and Anupam Kher (my new favorite tv character.)

so right off the bat i'm seeing in my walkthrough that maggey byrde is the defendant. oh great. i have nothing against her character but i hate that she and gumshoe are hinted to be romantically involved or at least share feelings for one another. gumshoe is a gay man and i feel very strongly about this
