Checking out the Up Against It synopsis and trying to deduce who would've played which character, I'm guessing Paul as the ladies' man Ian, John as political renegade Jack, and George/Ringo as downtrodden "kept boy" Christopher. I'm also fascinated by Paul's claim that it was too gay for them because I'm not sure what he's referring to, other than the drag and the orgy at the end or maybe an overall queer sensibility. Also it's funny to me that the corrupt cop and the prime minister they assassinate are both women for some reason, like I figure it's supposed to be some "did Margaret Thatcher utilize girl power" deal.

def agree on the casting speculations (but also v curious who wouldve played who if the movie had actually gone to mick jagger and ian mckellen like lewenstein thought it should. also what a bizarre combo that wouldve been..) also yeah funny that thats where he drew the line lmao. but ig we've only got the revised script now since the orignal one was never published so who knows what was in there
