woowowo im back in this scenario and updating my kitsune tails design

i just like the little guy big guy dynamic

im putting my thoughts in the cut down below

tails is around 800 years in my head

outliving all his friends has left him feeling pretty apathetic and detached when it comes to others

he still wants to help people and junk but theres like no passion behind it. it feels like a chore.

silver (maybe like 8 years old here) is an orphan due to whatever apocalyptic situation is going down in the future

he starts following tails around cus he thinks tails is cool and heroic, and he doesnt immediately try to scare silver off like others have

silver also sees that tails is all alone like he is, and he knows how being lonely feels and wants to help

tails initially doesnt want some kid following him around cus he just doesnt want to deal with the hassle

(and hes scared of getting attached)

but he sees silver as this little weird, lonely orphan boy who’s just looking for companionship, and tails gets the worst case of deja vu

(and maybe hes gotta soft spot for hedgehogs, sue him)

he feels too bad to make silver leave, so he keeps him around

silver gets the companionship hes looking for through tails, and tails learns to stop fearing connections even if they are fleeting
