3 of the Best Lenses for the Canon EOS R3 (We Tested Them)
They're fast.
The Canon EOS R3 has been out for a little while now, and we’ve already reviewed it! It’s seriously one of the best cameras you can get, and there are great reasons for that. Besides introducing a few cool innovations, photographers will love the fact that there are so many good lenses for it. So we dove into our reviews index. In fact, we’ve reviewed almost every Canon RF lens out there. And…

Canon EOS R5 Review 2020
Canon has always made headlines with the introduction of the camera, and this year is no different. The Canon EOS R5 is now the most eagerly awaited camera of 2020, especially with the company pointing out its powerhouse features. Consider the camera's 8K video capability, 45MP CMO sensor, twin card slots, and image stabilization. Even photographers who find it difficult to please will feel good, that's for sure.
Features
Canon image stabilization in the body. 8K at 30/25 / 24fps. 4K at 120fps 120/60/50/30/25 / 24fps HD. Double Card - 1x CF Express, 1xsd (UHS-II). R5: 45MP Silent shutter up to 20fps. Dual Pixel CMOS Mechanical shutter up to 12fps. Big Wifinder 5.76 million points
Canon Inc. has been in the camera business since 1984 and launched some of the best digital cameras in the world, starting with the RC 701. Over the years, Canon has led the way in camera technology with the PowerShot, Digital IXUS, and now EOS series. The latest on the list is the EOS R5 and maybe the most influential company on offer.
Tumblr media
See handle and control.
When it comes to appearances, the first real-world EOS R5 shot shows that it will look almost exactly like the real EOS R with some differences. Some say that the more traditional scroll wheel wheels will replace the multi-function blades on the back of the camera.
The EOS R5 also considered having a good grip, which is useful for shooting with long lenses such as the Canon RF 100-500 mm. It has the same top-plate control as the EOS R.
Pictures and videos
Canon is still not talking about the exact sensor and processor of the EOS R5. But the instructions indicate that it will be a robust 45MP and will use "newly designed CMOS sensors" confirmed by Canon that they will do with this model.
What photographers like is capturing 8K videos, which means that the camera needs a sensor with 7680x5120 pixels. The EOS R5 will be the first user-level camera to feature an 8K videos.
According to Canon's, this capability will allow users to "extract high-resolution still photos from video recordings." When the camera released in the summer of 2020, it will surpass the Panasonic Lumix S1H, which has 6K video capability.
Reports indicate that the EOS R5 will shoot 8K at 30 fps and 4K at 120 fps. When asked how the R5 would solve the heat problem when shooting in 8K, Canon product marketing specialist David Perry explained: "We've been doing this for a while now, and we're looking at other products in our lineup. Learn many techniques to end the heat.
For example, it can move parts and move them one after the other. "If that's not enough, Canon has announced that it will use internal image stabilization (IBIS) in the R5 that will work closely with the" lens stabilization system. "
Storage, extras, and connectivity
Canon has not revealed the minute details about the R5, but it will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth tooth capability like almost every modern camera today. Canon Rumors also suggest that the camera will support 5GHz Wi-Fi to increase transfer speeds.
In the case of Bluetooth, Canon announced that canon EOS R5 users would be able to upload their images directly to Canon's new photos in native resolution. Canon, a cloud platform that will be available to consumers from April 2020.
The Canon EOS R5 will also have a dual card slot, but no details have confirmed whether it will support high-speed SD cards and CFX Express, similar to the EOS 1DX Mark III.
Advantages and disadvantages
Prof. Since Canon has not yet released the full EOS R5 features, much remains to be learned about investing in this new camera. For sure, this is a powerful camera with almost all the features required every professional photographer and even a dream come true. [/ Day - First]
Cons For the price tag, consumers expect the EOS R5 to be in the range of 45.7 MP Nikon Z7 or even 61 MP Sony Alpha A7 R IV. In this case, this new camera's price could be around 3, 500, 500 3,500, or more.
Last thought Whether or not you need 8K video capability depends on your actual needs. Some can live with 4k video, and some are already struggling with the demand for power storage that comes with high-quality video.
But with the development of the camera, 8K will soon become the norm for professional cameras, and Canon is leading the way this year.

Black Friday 2019
Last year I joked it should be called Black Fri-week. This year, some stores have been offering “Black Friday” sale pricing two weeks ahead of time. Check below for links to the shops that I am keeping an eye on—some have started BF sales early, others have not yet. Check back for additional links and updates throughout the week!
While I think the arms race to get Black Friday sales starting earlier and earlier is, on the whole, a sad commentary on our materialistic culture as well as the psychology behind sales (hint: if they know they’re going to offer it at 20% off, it’s probably priced 20% too high to begin with), if there have to be sales, might as well make them more convenient for everyone. Last year I eschewed clothing purchases for tech purchases and a video game or two. This year, I‘ve bought several things in the lead up to Black Friday that if I pick anything up it’ll be a smaller, or less expensive item or two. Anyway, enough with the commentary. Below, Black Friday sales I’m looking at plus some product picks. Mostly clothes but also some other picks.
(stay tuned for new updates as the week progresses)
Clothing shops
Spier & Mackay (20% off site wide with code BF2019)
L.L. Bean (20% off everything with code THANKS20)
Beckett Simonon (two pairs for $289—I have and recommend the Durant Adelaide)
Billy Reid (20% off $250, 30% off $500, 40% off $1,000)
Brooks Brothers
Kamakura (Half off a selection of shirts, including OCBDs and their Sport collection, which have unlined collars)
No Man Walks Alone (up to 30% off, prices as marked, no code needed)
Nordstrom
Abercrombie
Ralph Lauren (40% off $100+, code TAKE40)
Todd Snyder (use code BLACKFRIDAY)
Saint James (20% off all fall/winter items; 50% off past season items, all week)
J.Crew
Drop 93 (last year they had a 20% off code; not sure if they will yet this year)
Oak Street Bootmakers
Tech
I recently bought an iPad Pro to be the computer I run my blog from. I absolutely love it. With iPadOS’ improvements to core functionality and apps like Lightroom, it’s an amazing product for photo editing and blogging. Here are some iPad deals (I love my Pro but the Air was a major contender, and the regular 10.2-inch iPad is an extremely capable tablet for a great price).
iPad 10.2-inch for $250 at Target or Staplesor Walmart
$150-250 off iPad Pro models at Best Buy
My wife and I also recently sold our fantastic Canon 6D and bought Canon’s new EOS RP, which is the less expensive full-frame mirrorless camera, released in February 2019. We absolutely love the sharpness and picture quality; handling has taken some getting used to, as coming off a more professional camera, the reduction in physical buttons (plus just a different layout) has been an adjustment. But you cannot get a better price on a full-frame camera from anyone; mirrorless just makes it lightweight and small.
Canon EOS RP for $999 at Adorama including accessories and RF-EF mount adapter
(Help support this site! If you buy stuff through my links, your clicks and purchases earn me a commission from many of the retailers I feature, and it helps me sustain this site—as well as my menswear habit 😉  Thanks!)
Some specific clothing products I personally would love to buy if I had the funds:
L.L. Bean
Wicked Good Moccasins
With their amazing customer service and product warranty, these are well worth the asking price, particularly with 20% off.
Tumblr media
No Man Walks Alone
Kaptain Sunshine Traveler Coat sold out sadly
I absolutely love the design of this coat. The plain car coat front (as opposed to having a dressier-looking lapel) in a single breasted cut, with applied flapped patch pockets (with a little ticket pocket), all with a longer cut
Heschung Thuya
I recently decided these ugly shoes are actually pretty baller. If you’re a fan of the Wallabee (and I have recently become one after discovering they are the most comfortable shoe of all time), these are a bit more rugged yet also have a more pleasing shape. 20% off is your best time to buy them.
Tumblr media
Polo Ralph Lauren
Double-breasted Officers Coat
Timeless and classic. $600 is a worthy price for this (after the 40% off discount)
Tumblr media
Spier & Mackay
Outerwear
Tumblr media
Teal barleycorn tweed polo coat
Dress trousers
Tumblr media
Mid-gray flannel trousers
Tumblr media
Light gray flannel trousers
Tumblr media
Mid-blue tweed trousers

Charcoal tweed trousers

Mamma bear. . Oh, haven't mentioned camera stuff in comments for a while. These photos were taken on my new RF 100-500 lens on the R5. It's my first RF L lens. The max aperture at 500mm is F/7.1 compared to F/6.3 at 600mm on the Tamron 150-600 I was using. So in terms of specs, it's sort of a downgrade but it's sharper and more importantly the IS and AF are much better. I'm still missing sometimes and the AF hunts in low light, but it's overall way more consistent than my old lens. . There's something with the Tamron, I couldn't put my finger on where even if I manually focused it while on a tripod, pictures would sometimes be soft. When I've manually focused the new Canon lens when AF was struggling, I still got good, sharp, shots. . These pictures were taken just before dark at pretty high ISO so they are pretty noisy, but even at high ISO the sharpness of the lens seems to cut through the noise and the color and contrast hold up better than high ISO shots on the Tamron. I still don't see these as "great" pictures in terms of image quality, but plenty good for viewing on a phone screen and hey, it's a bear. . Some other interesting comparisons with the Tamron: it's way lighter which makes a big difference than I expected. It's not just nicer to carry around, but I feel, I guess a little less encumbered shooting with it. It's also a lot easier to adjust zoom while shooting. . Still, I notice the less reach and darker max aperture and in a sort of impulsive way, I prefer my Tamron. Like just purely for looking through a lens at an animal. But the new lens is more reliable with better image quality. . Also, the Tamron is way under-rated. I never figured out the inconsistency of the lens, but when you do nail a shot the image quality is fantastic. If there were ever a firmware update that improved the consistency or new version of the same lens design with RF mount, I'd take it over the 100-500. . Anyway, if anyone else is considering upgrading from a 150-600 to a 100-500 feel free to DM me. . . . #canon #petapixel #canonr5 #rf100500 #canonrf100500mm #rf100500mm #bear #blackbear #bears #blackbears #americanblackbear #mammabear #washingtonwildlife (at Washington) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTKqFFmiwkQ/?utm_medium=tumblr

I go to Harrison Bay State Park right at sunrise. I used the Canon R6, my new RF 1.4x Extender, and the super sharp RF 100-500 lens. I worked for a few hours and found four species of Woodpecker to photograph as well as a few others birds including two bald eagles to go along with a few squirrel andWildlife Photography • Canon RF 100-500 • RF 1.4x Extender • EOS R6 via Pocket https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGERbIRbOHw
