Canela rubs her eyes from the sleep that still held her, and looks over to the curtains that lead to the kitchen where her parents prepare the bakery's treats. She listens closely, making sure her parents weren't coming out in curiosity to check on who came in. After hearing their usual chatter, she leans in close to whisper.

“H said -oh that’s what the Quilladin said to call them- that he was just some stalker. H came to town because they’ve heard its a guarded community, but well…. they kind of picked the wrong day to duck in here since the usual security was gone. But I think we lost him, since we didn't see him pop up afterwards."

"And it's not like I was scared, but it all happened so fast! I should have been more vigilant. It’s kinda ingrained in me that we’re usually safe in this town so I let my guard down. I should have known better when Warden wasn’t looking over the town that night.”

"So, I don't know what he wanted to do, but he's a creep for taking pictures of someone without them knowing. Wish I could have done more for H, but they got picked up soon after so that's that."

Canela stood back up and sighs as she fixes her wrinkled apron. She stares out the window and purses her lips as she relays that night in her head again. Their lift was really bougie too, they really weren't from around these parts...

Canela steps back to look at her creation and scrunches up her face a little. Oooh...that's.... She wonders if making the cupcake in front of the customer wasn't the best idea.

As she turns to get the bakery's to go box after retrieving the other pastry, Canela's finger begins to glow. The Braixen closes her eyes and twirls her finger around, to which the frosting moves slightly resulting in a neater look.

She turns back to look at it and sighs. It's a little better, I guess that'll have to do. She then places the cupcake alongside the Sweet Pecha Vanilla Swirl, and gives the customer the Special Menu speech.

"I hope you enjoy!"

"We don't specialize in those but it wouldn't stop my parents from trying. My Tata loves to read about new recipes and try them out, sometimes we'll give or sell whatever they made on the side if they went too wild on making them."

Canela finishes packing the cupcakes, making sure to put in a variety of flavors. After excusing herself to go behind the curtains, she soon returns with a cup of water. She places everything down on the counter and brings up the charges to the Lycanroc, before following it up with details about the swirl cake's properties.

"I hope water will suffice with quenching your thirst! Personally the Pecha Swirl makes me thirsty right after too, it's so sweet!"

"Since it's from our Magic Special Menu, it's a little well...special! It's big size also contains a big spicy KICK, so I really hope you're a spicy lover, heh heh."

"Besides being a nice treat to bite into to heal any Pokemon dealing with Paralysis effect, it can really help if your mind is running wild with too many thoughts. Those spicy flavors really make you stop for a moment because Pokemon either love the flavor or it's just so HOT! But, that little moment have helped other's settle down afterward and not feel stuck anymore and make a decision they've been stuck on. Some have said they suddenly gained a small boost of courage to tackle a situation that was scary before."

She provides some napkins and a couple eating eating utensils to the mew.

"I've seen some smaller Pokemon challenging each other to see how fast they can eat one, and they end up in tears for one reason or another. But it's a nice pastry to share too. There's one more thing I'm forgetting....OH! If you're able, try to store it somewhere away from the air, the effects I mentioned start to fade if you leave it out half eaten."

Dish's Profile: A larger than average red velvet cupcake, with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, sprinkled with dried Cheri berry flakes, and topped with a chunk of dried Cheri berry in the shape of a Cheri blossom.

The dryness of the Cheri berry brings out a more concentrated flavor that shocks the consumer with a strong spicy kick. The spicy palette mixes with the sweet bread, create a pleasant bite that help ease feelings that may be overwhelming the consumer.

Hello again everybody, sorry for going MIA again.

So...I left off in the middle of this (SHORT) arc, and because I was gone for so long, I felt like making a summary page was maybe in order. This way, it acts as a nice transition back to my posting, and people who follow here can catch up on what's going on in one quick bite. I myself usually feel overwhelmed when coming back to a blog because of everything I missed or don't remember, so I thought making something like this would help people like me!

While this post summarizes the stuff I deem important to know the gist of whats going on, I encourage people to look back at the posts so you don't miss out on the things in between (or dont, im not ur DAD).

My inbox will be closed for a short while so I can answer REALLY OLD ASKS (IM SORRYYY), but once everything is in order we'll be back in business baby! Things may also look a little different in the future in terms of art, so I hope the contrast isn't too much. Thank you so much for reading this far, I hope to catch up with everything I've missed, and that you enjoyed this little recap episode lmao.

Canela: “Oh are you alright? Do you need me to fix that too?~”

Paige: “No, you know what’ll happen if I know anything else. Just refrain from doing that in the store with our CUSTOMERS!!!!”

The Autumn Leafeon held a satchel in his mouth with a few books in it, he had seen Canela drop her books and pick them up, he decided to walk over and chat.

Xeni: "Hello there, nice to meet you, I'm Xeni, I saw you had dropped your books a moment ago and wanted to give this to you."

He placed down his satchel and pulled a similar one from his bandana scarf. It was a little old and smelled like books. He offered it to Canela.

Xeni: "I just got a new one, and they're a big help when you have too many books to carry in your arms."

"But I won't say no to a free bag! I've been wanting a new one for work deliveries, but I'm trying to save my money and hold off on any extra purchases."

Canela puts her books down and tries to put the bag over her head. As the strap goes over her ears, it gets stuck on her hair.

"Oh uh...heehee oops."

She tugs at the strap to try and get it past her hair but stops, as she worries that she may accidentally rip the old bag. She looks at the Leafeon and smiles sheepishly.

"Uhm, I think I'll just fix it when I get back home. I think my Mom would be able to extend the length so I can use it properly!"

Canela starts folding up the bag as quick as she can, her face not changing much as she does so. Almost as if this is all muscle memory.

After patting her paws on her legs she gets up. "Uhm, thanks again! Maybe you should visit me at my family's bakery when it's open. I'd like to pay you back for this with a free treat."
