Multiple Entry Tourist Visa
A Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) is a travel document issued by certain countries that permits holders to enter and exit the country multiple times within a specified period. This visa category is designed to accommodate frequent travelers, business people, and those with family or personal ties to the host country.
Understanding the METV
While the term 'tourist' might suggest solely leisure travel, METVs often cater to a broader spectrum of visitors. Business travelers, for instance, can utilize an METV for frequent business trips, saving the hassle of repeated visa applications. Similarly, individuals with family abroad can use it for regular visits.
Key characteristics of an METV typically include:
Multiple entries: The visa holder can enter the country multiple times within its validity period.
Validity period: This is the duration for which the visa remains valid. It can range from a few months to several years.
Duration of stay: This is the maximum permitted stay for each visit.
Conditions and restrictions: Each country has its own specific rules regarding eligibility, required documents, and conditions of stay.
Benefits of an METV
Convenience: The most obvious benefit is the elimination of the need to apply for a new visa for each visit.
Flexibility: It offers greater flexibility in travel plans, allowing for spontaneous trips or extended stays.
Status: In some cases, holding an METV can enhance one's perceived status or credibility.
Challenges and Considerations
While the METV is undoubtedly convenient, it’s essential to understand the potential challenges and considerations:
Eligibility: Not everyone qualifies for an METV. Countries typically have strict eligibility criteria based on factors like nationality, financial status, travel history, and purpose of visit.
Cost: METVs often come with higher fees compared to single-entry visas.
Conditions of stay: There might be restrictions on activities permitted during the stay, such as work or study.
Visa refusal: Even with eligibility, visa applications can be denied. It's crucial to provide accurate and complete information.
Countries Offering METVs
The availability of METVs varies widely between countries. Some popular destinations known for issuing METVs include:
Schengen Area countries: Offering various categories of multiple-entry visas based on the purpose of travel.
United States: Provides different visa categories, including the B1/B2 visitor visa which can be issued for multiple entries.
United Kingdom: Offers Standard Visitor visas with multiple entry options.
Canada: Provides multiple-entry visitor visas for eligible applicants.
Australia: Offers various visa subclasses with multiple entry options.
Tips for Applying for an METV
Research thoroughly: Understand the specific requirements of the country you're applying to.
Prepare meticulously: Gather all necessary documents and ensure they are accurate and complete.
Be truthful: Provide honest and accurate information on the visa application.
Consider a visa consultant: If the process seems overwhelming, consider seeking professional assistance.
Obtaining a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa can significantly enhance your travel experience. By understanding the intricacies involved, you can increase your chances of a successful application and make the most of your travels.

Namibian Michelle Nehoya has spent nearly $500 (£390) on the application process for a visa to visit Canada - but almost two years later it has yet to materialise.
The 38-year-old, who lives in Namibia's capital, Windhoek, is desperate to get to Quebec to see her aunt and cousins whom she has not seen for almost a decade.
The visa application has involved filling in multiple forms - and among other requirements, she has also had to provide six months of bank statements, an invitation letter plus a detailed travel history.
There is no way to apply in Namibia, so this has also meant travelling to South Africa to submit her biometric data, which involves giving her fingerprints and having a photo taken.
Her experience is not uncommon for Africans travelling to Western countries.
In 2022, seven of the top 10 countries with the highest visa rejection rates in the bloc of European countries known as the Schengen area were African, according to consultancy firm Henley and Partners.
“It has been lengthy and frustrating. I haven’t been given any reason why it’s taken so long," Ms Nehoya tells the BBC.
However, if her family in Quebec decide to travel to Namibia on Canadian passports, they will not face anything like the challenges and costs she encountered. Canadian citizens can currently enter Namibia without a visa.
But this will change in eight months’ time.
From next April, Canadian nationals, along with those from Germany, the US, the UK and 29 other countries, will require a visa for entry.
These include all “non-reciprocating countries” - meaning the new visa rules will affect citizens from all countries that require Namibian passport holders to have visas.
“Namibia has extended gestures of goodwill and favourable treatment to nationals of various countries. However, despite these efforts, certain nations have not reciprocated,” Namibia’s immigration ministry said in May.
“In light of this disparity, the government has deemed it necessary to implement a visa requirement to ensure parity and fairness in diplomatic interactions.”
But these visitors will be able to buy their 90-day visa, costing $90, on arrival in Namibia - unlike the onerous requirements placed on African passport holders who need to get their visas beforehand.
The British High Commissioner to Namibia, Charles Moore, said he respected the right of Namibia to impose new regulations.
“[The UK] unfortunately imposed a visa regime on Namibia last year due to the number of asylum seekers we were receiving. That was impacting on our relationship with Namibia,” he said.
A statement from the UK government further explained there had been a sustained and significant increase in the number of asylum applications from Namibians at the UK border since 2016.
“This constitutes an abuse of the provision to visit the UK for a limited period as non-visa nationals,” it said.
For Ms Nehoya, Namibia’s visa announcement is long overdue: “I think it is fair. It feels like Namibia is standing up for itself.”
The reactions on social media to the news echo her sentiments.
“Finally. I hope they also require them to submit a bible of documents, take medical tests, [and] Namibian language tests,” wrote one commenter.
Another said: “If I need to bring bank statements… and all sort of documents and still buy visa just to gain entry to a country, that country should also do the same to gain entry to my country.”
And visas for the Schengen area, the US and Canada do not come cheap for African passport holders.
The European Union made more than €53m ($58m; £45m) on rejected visa applications from African countries in 2023, according to a recent report by the Lago Collective, a think-tank that focuses on migration.
Visas can be rejected for multiple reasons. The report says most rejections are based on “reasonable doubt about the visa applicant’s intention to return home”.
In June 2024, the price of Schengen short-term visas went up from €80 to €90 for adults, and in October 2023, the UK visa fee rose from £100 to £115.
The report also showed that nearly a third of Africans applying for a visa to the Schengen area were rejected, higher than the global average.
Even when visas are approved, African travellers say their experiences at border security make them feel uncomfortable and unwanted.
Winnie Byanyima, the head of UNAids and who is herself Ugandan, drew attention to this when she tweeted in 2022: “I’m at Geneva airport, I’m almost refused to board, all documents scrutinised over and over again, calls made… I board last.”
Despite Namibia’s visa initiative receiving praise on social media, the tourism industry is less enthusiastic.
The Hospitality Association of Namibia said it was “very concerned” about the message it “sends to the global travel trade”.
In 2022, the tourism sector accounted for 7% of GDP, making it the third largest contributor to the economy - with most tourists coming countries such as Germany and the US.
Though Soni Nrupesh, a tourism expert based in Windhoek, believes the visa move will not deter visitors: “It will not change much; you can still get on a plane without a visa.
“It’s just when you get to the airport you will fill a form pay the fees and enter.”
Prospective travellers like Ms Nehoya hope this kind reciprocity will be the future for everyone.
“People come to Namibia, and they love it. But we also want to see what is happening on the other side,” she says.
“It would be nice to go to Canada, the US or the UK and just get a visa on arrival. But right now, we must plan everything so far in advance.”

This is a vent post but I am so pissed off and I’ve been pissed off about this one thing for months.
I moved into a house with a six month lease because I needed to move out of an Airbnb and find somewhere more stable to stay that wasn’t as expensive as an Airbnb. And I found this lady who will need to go visit her family in Canada for a six month visa, so it was like cool perfect that will give me time to settle into the town and look for a longer term place at the end of the lease
The house is cute it has a lot of the things that I need like a yard where I can compost and a good bed and good kitchen and all that. The first huge downside came when I realize that it is next-door to like a three-story house at the top of which are three roosters which never shut up. Now this is annoying for anybody but it’s super annoying for me because my work is creating meditations and audios and I need it to be quiet.
Since it’s not and I can’t work or study with their constant noise I had to rent a small or second place that’s further out so that I had somewhere to study and work so that’s an extra cost.
OK, whatever, I’ll deal with it.
But the other thing that I’ve been dealing with ever since I got here is an endless barrage of roaches and scorpions. Literally every day except for about three days for the three or four months that I’ve been here, in the evening I encounter and have to kill 1-2 scorpions and roaches EACH.
This mainly happens because- and this fact pisses me off SO much- This house is not properly sealed in any way shape or form. The doors, the outlets, the light fixtures, they all have gaps and spaces in them so more or less if you are a bug you can just get in and out of this house as you please.
It is so stressful having to deal with not just bugs but potentially dangerous bugs every evening. And actually, the other morning when I woke up and open my door to the bedroom the first thing I saw was a HUGE scorpion just walking across the floor in front of me.
The ant infestation in the kitchen because the foundation and the spaces around the windows have humongous cracks in them is annoying. The fact the cockroaches have such an easy time getting into the house via the washroom and bathroom- annoying and disgusting.
But the fact that any entire three months or so since I’ve been here only three days out of all of that time have I not encountered a single scorpion is so stressful.
I find it really really annoying that this is like a fully done house and they bother to put in cute features like the patio and a sliding barn door and vaulted ceilings but didn’t think to finish and seal the fixtures and doorways.
IDK what to do there’s nothing I can really do about it actually. I have like three or four more months of being here and then I can leave. I just really need to vent. This house is really really overstimulating and it’s just driving me crazy. I haven’t been able to be in my own energy in a settled home for months and months now. Mind you this is all after having to very quickly leave my home country last year in November.

Visit Visa Canada | How Long is Processing Time
The processing time for a Visit Visa to Canada from India can vary depending on several factors, and it's important to note that individual cases may differ.
Tumblr media
There are four types of visas listed:
Standard Single Entry Visa: This visa is valid for three months and costs AUD 145. It is the cheapest option on the table and is suitable for short stays.
Multiple Entry Visa (3 months): This visa is also valid for three months but allows for multiple entries into Australia. It costs AUD 365, which is more than double the price of the Standard Single Entry Visa.
Multiple Entry Visa (6 months): This visa is valid for six months and allows for multiple entries. It costs AUD 555, which is more expensive than the three-month Multiple Entry Visa but less expensive than the 12-month Multiple Entry Visa.
Multiple Entry Visa (12 months): This visa is valid for twelve months and allows for multiple entries. It is the most expensive visa on the table, costing AUD 1,065.
So, if you are planning a short trip to Australia and only need to enter the country once, the Standard Single Entry Visa is the most economical option. However, if you need to make multiple entries during your three-month stay, the Multiple Entry Visa (3 months) is a better choice. For longer stays, the six-month or twelve-month Multiple Entry Visas may be more suitable.

Whenever I've heard people talk about having a moment of clarity, I always imagined it as sort of fanfic-style, with eyes widening and a small 'oh' of understanding.
A few weeks ago, I had my moment of clarity, not for the first time either, but this time it really sank in, and it was nothing like fanfiction. It was ugly; I was crying and trying to forget what I had realized because it meant that I was going to have to upend my life, that I was going to have to feel emotions I hate, and that I would have to hurt the ones I love.
I've spent the last month pretending it didn't happen, but it's been bubbling underneath the surface, throwing me into disordered thinking of self-loathing and suicidal ideation, where it was literally all I could think about for days on end. I haven't been able to go on walks, bike rides, or anything that leaves me alone with my thoughts.
I've self-medicated with low-dosage edibles, but that was just slapping a Band-Aid on an open wound.
It came to a head last night after two straight days of suicidal ideation. I opened the door to the possibility of returning to my home country, and I don't think I've ever felt so relieved.
I know that I'm going to have to deal with adversity, that I'm going to have to do a lot of hard work to get myself back to where I was before I moved.
The last time I had one of these 'realizations' was near the end of 2017, and it came with an emotional breakdown as well.
In early 2018, I went home for a month, and I felt so alone. I was curled up on my brother's couch, crying, and missing everyone I had left in California.
I swore that I wouldn't leave again, that I would do my best to always stay in California, where I was comfortable and content.
I think one of the differences between now and then is that I am more emotionally mature. Another difference is that I am not in constant agony from having my nerves compressed between two discs. The pain will still show up, and I need to take breaks, but it isn't as bad as it used to be, which I felt made me dependent on my Californian family
I'm going to visit my brother in December and see if that feeling comes back because no matter where you go, there you are.
Am I what is making myself miserable, or has it been my situation? That I've been trapped in a dead-end job with no room for advancement? My visa doesn't permit me to go to school (the cost of post-secondary education in the US doesn't allow it either); it doesn't permit me to apply for all sorts of benefits, nor does it allow me to apply for a green card.
I've been static for the last decade. I've certainly had emotional growth, but nothing else. I haven't been able to step forward or backward. I can move laterally, but I can't grow in any way (except in weight).
It's only been a day, but I've felt so much lighter. I've been thinking about all the things I can do back in Canada: go to the doctor and get my spine looked at, have a place to myself, enjoy the cold and snow, go to school, and start a new career path. I feel like I am regaining control.
I'm afraid I'll end up alone in the dark, crying for my California family, because I do love them, but I can't just tread water anymore; I need to swim towards the shore.
P.T. Barnum said that comfort is the enemy of progress, and he's right. I've been comfortable and content. I've been lazy. I've been happy to do nothing, except I don't think I've actually been happy. I've enjoyed not working my tail off for a boss that doesn't appreciate me and pays me a pittance, but now it's time to be responsible again. I need to see my family, visit my grandmother before I no longer can, get back into shape, and make a change. I want to help and advocate for people; I want to talk to whatever MP I will have and try to make a positive change somehow. I'm ready to be uncomfortable again.
When I had my moment of clarity last month, I couldn't imagine ever feeling relieved or excited; I thought I would only be scared.
I cannot emphasize just how chilling it is to have a moment of clarity; it feels like jumping into a frozen lake. There's the initial shock as it hits you, but then you're left shivering and trying to recover from the shock.
I hope I won't have another moment of clarity once I've moved back.

Guide to Pardon and Waiver in Canada - Understanding the Process
Tumblr media
Canada offers legal remedies for individuals with criminal records or inadmissibility issues that affect their ability to live, work, or travel freely. Pardons and waivers are two distinct mechanisms to help individuals overcome these barriers. While a Pardon (or Record Suspension) clears a criminal record for domestic purposes, a US Waiver is necessary for those deemed inadmissible to the United States. This guide provides detailed insights into what these processes entail, how they differ, and the steps involved in obtaining them.
What Is a Pardon (Record Suspension)?
A Pardon, officially known as a Record Suspension, is granted by the Parole Board of Canada (PBC). It allows individuals with a criminal record to have their record kept separate from public criminal databases, such as the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC).
Purpose of a Pardon
The primary goal of a pardon is to help rehabilitated individuals reintegrate into society without the stigma of a criminal record. Key benefits include:
Enhanced Employment Opportunities: Many employers require background checks, and a pardon ensures the criminal record does not appear.
Improved Travel Opportunities: While a pardon does not guarantee US entry, it can simplify travel to other countries.
Restored Rights: A pardon may restore certain rights, such as eligibility to volunteer or obtain certain licenses.
Eligibility for a Pardon
To be eligible for a pardon, you must:
Complete Your Sentence:
ü  Pay all fines, restitution, and surcharges.
ü  Finish probation or parole requirements.
Complete the Waiting Period:
ü  5 Years: For summary offenses (less serious crimes).
ü  10 Years: For indictable offenses (more serious crimes).
Show Evidence of Rehabilitation: Demonstrating that you have led a law-abiding life since completing your sentence is crucial.
Cost of a Pardon
The application fee for a pardon is $50 CAD (as of 2024), payable to the Parole Board of Canada. Additional costs include obtaining documents such as court records, police checks, and fingerprints, which can vary by location.
Validity of a Pardon
A pardon has no expiration date unless revoked by the Parole Board of Canada due to a new offense or misrepresentation in the application.
Steps to Apply for a Pardon
Obtain Your Criminal Record: Request a certified copy of your criminal record from the RCMP.
Gather Supporting Documents:
ü  Court records for each conviction.
ü  Local police clearance certificates.
Complete the Application Form: Download and fill out the Pardon Application Guide from the Parole Board of Canada’s website.
Pay the Application Fee: Submit the non-refundable fee of $50 CAD.
Submit Your Application: Mail the completed application and supporting documents to the Parole Board of Canada.
Wait for a Decision: The processing time can take up to 6 to 12 months.
What Is a US Waiver?
A US Waiver is a legal document issued by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that allows individuals deemed inadmissible to enter the United States. Unlike a pardon, which addresses Canadian records, a waiver is necessary for crossing the US border legally.
Purpose of a US Waiver
A US Waiver is essential for:
Traveling to the US: For business, tourism, or family visits.
Overcoming Inadmissibility: Related to past criminal convictions, immigration violations, or other legal issues.
Eligibility for a US Waiver
Anyone with a history of inadmissibility to the United States can apply for a waiver. Common reasons include:
Criminal convictions, such as theft, assault, or drug-related offenses.
Immigration violations, such as overstaying a visa.
Cost of a US Waiver
The application fee for Form I-192 (Application for Advance Permission to Enter as a Nonimmigrant) is $930 USD. Additional costs may include fingerprinting, legal consultations, and document procurement.
Validity of a US Waiver
A US Waiver is typically valid for 1 to 5 years, depending on the applicant's circumstances and the discretion of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Steps to Apply for a US Waiver
Determine Your Inadmissibility: Understand the specific reasons for your inadmissibility under US immigration laws.
Obtain Required Documents:
ü  RCMP criminal record check.
ü  Court records for all convictions.
ü  Police clearance certificates.
Complete Form I-192: Provide detailed information about your personal history, criminal background, and reasons for seeking entry to the US.
Pay the Application Fee: Submit the non-refundable fee of $930 USD.
Submit Your Application: Applications are submitted at a US border crossing or preclearance facility.
Wait for Processing: Processing times range from 6 to 12 months.
Receive the Decision: If approved, you will receive a waiver specifying the validity period.
Key Differences Between a Pardon and a Waiver
Aspect
Pardon
US Waiver
Purpose
Clears a criminal record in Canada.
Grants legal entry to the US.
Jurisdiction
Canadian government (Parole Board of Canada).
US government (Department of Homeland Security).
Eligibility
After completing sentence and waiting period.
For individuals deemed inadmissible to the US.
Cost
$50 CAD + additional expenses.
$930 USD + additional expenses.
Validity
Indefinite unless revoked.
1–5 years.
Why Understanding Both Processes Matters
For individuals with a criminal record in Canada, both a pardon and a US waiver may be necessary depending on their goals. While a pardon helps in domestic reintegration and clearing the stigma of a criminal record, a US waiver is essential for international travel to the United States.
Understanding the differences and processes for obtaining a pardon and a waiver in Canada is crucial for individuals seeking to clear their records and regain their rights. While both processes involve time, effort, and costs, they open doors to opportunities that would otherwise remain closed due to a criminal record or inadmissibility issues. By following the steps outlined in this guide, applicants can navigate these legal remedies with greater confidence.

The Cost of Super Visa Insurance for Parents and Grandparents
Tumblr media
If you want to bring your parents or grandparents to Canada on a Super Visa, you absolutely must get Super Visa Insurance, but honestly, insurance can be complex, for sure. You want to safeguard your family without becoming broke. We'll discuss Super Visa Insurance prices and how to avoid overpaying.
Factors That Influence the Cost of Super Visa Insurance
When calculating Super Visa Insurance costs, insurers consider several factors. Age matters most. Your elderly parents or grandparents will cost extra. Why? Insurance must account for the reality that illness increases with age. Health matters, too. Some insurers may charge higher rates or not cover certain conditions if you or a loved one has them.
The expenses of Super Visa Insurance
This Insurance costs around 100 to 200 USD per month, depending on age and health. It may cost more for older parents or grandparents. Although it seems like a lot, peace of mind and medical protection come with a bit of price-offload in Canada. Getting quotations from several firms is smart since rates vary so greatly.
How to Budget for Super Visa Insurance
Budgeting for Super Visa Insurance for Parents and Grandparents is easy. First, estimate your parents' or grandparents' ages, and then choose affordable, full-coverage Insurance. If you want to save money on Insurance, realize that policies with less coverage may be worse in an emergency. Find the finest price-security ratio to protect your family without going broke.
Conclusion
Getting this Insurance for grandparents and parents is sensible and easy. Knowing price factors and adequately assessing your options can help you choose. With Danforth Insurance, you can stay under budget and insure your loved ones.

The UK will introduce its ETA system on January 8. ETA, or Electronic Travel Authorisation, will be required for anyone who doesn't need a visa to travel to the UK. This is the UK equivalent of the United States' ESTA a mandatory, paid-for authorization to travel, with security clearance done in advance.
Tumblr media
The scheme debuted to Gulf Cooperation Council nationals in 2024, and the next stage is to roll it out to other non-European travelers - including the six million travelers from the US, Canada and Australia who enter the UK each year.
The scheme is for "short" visits to the UK of less than six months for tourism and business. There are a few other categories of ETA, including for short-term study and permitted paid engagements. The cost is a non-refundable £10 (just under $12.50), and you can apply through the official app listed on the UK government website, or directly online.

Introduction
Canada is renowned for its inclusive society, high quality of life, and excellent public services. However, two major challenges persist—healthcare and housing affordability. Both newcomers and native-born Canadians are deeply concerned about these issues, as revealed by a recent CIC News study. At Wave Visas, we explore how newcomers are addressing these challenges and contributing to Canada’s growth and prosperity.
Top Issues Facing Canada Today
Healthcare
Healthcare is a cornerstone of Canadian life, offering publicly funded services to citizens and residents. However, long wait times and a shortage of primary care providers remain significant issues.
Housing Affordability
Housing affordability is another pressing concern. Rising real estate prices and systemic issues in the housing market have made homeownership increasingly challenging for many Canadians.
Survey Insights: What Canadians Think
A recent survey conducted by CIC News revealed that healthcare and housing affordability are the top two priorities for Canadians:
Issue
Native-born Canadians
Newcomers
Healthcare
50%
46%
Housing Affordability
44%
51%
While native-born Canadians are slightly more concerned about healthcare, newcomers are more focused on housing affordability.
Housing Affordability: A Closer Look
Systemic Issues Driving Housing Affordability Challenges
Canada’s housing crisis stems from systemic issues, including:
Restrictive Zoning: Local municipalities often enforce zoning laws that limit housing development.
Bureaucratic Delays: Lengthy approval processes can delay housing projects for over a decade.
High Construction Costs: Trade union restrictions limit the number of skilled workers, inflating costs.
Reduced Public Housing: The federal government’s withdrawal from public housing funding in the 1990s exacerbated the issue.
How Newcomers Are Contributing to Solutions
Newcomers play a vital role in addressing housing challenges by:
Efficient Housing Use: Many newcomers share housing, optimizing existing stock.
Skilled Workforce: Immigrants significantly contribute to the construction industry, filling gaps in skilled trades and professions such as:
23% of general contractors and builders
41% of architects
40% of civil engineers
15% of carpenters
Despite facing barriers to licensing, newcomers continue to support housing development.
Canada’s Healthcare System: An Overview
Challenges in Healthcare Access
Canada’s healthcare system, though lauded for its universality, faces challenges such as:
Long Wait Times: Emergency room visits can take hours, and specialist appointments can take months.
Lack of Family Doctors: Over 2.5 million Ontarians lack access to a primary care physician.
Newcomers’ Contributions to Healthcare
Immigrants are instrumental in addressing healthcare shortages, comprising:
37% of physicians
25% of registered nurses
43% of pharmacists
61% of dental technologists
Canada’s immigration system prioritizes skilled professionals, ensuring a steady influx of healthcare workers.
Moving Forward Together
Canada’s challenges in healthcare and housing affordability are significant but not insurmountable. Newcomers, supported by services like Wave Immigration Services, are making meaningful contributions to address these issues. By fostering a collaborative environment, Canada can continue to thrive as a diverse and inclusive nation.
Conclusion
Canada remains a beacon for immigrants worldwide, offering a high standard of living and a multicultural society. At Wave Visas, the best immigration consultant in Delhi/NCR, we are committed to helping newcomers achieve their dreams in Canada. Together, we can build a brighter future for all.
