God..fuck watching the Sasuke & Itachi reunion chase like. Screaming crying throwing up what the fuck is this Sasuke is having a mental breakdown Itachi is trying so hard to ignore him Itachi can't even look at him Sasuke is begging for explanations he wants to make it make sense and itachi. Itachi has NOTHING to give him. Itachi trying to kill kabuto to kill himself before Sasuke caught up with him. What could he say? Sasuke says he just wanted to know if what Madara said was true, he wants to know Itachi's input, he wants literally ONE conversation with his brother that doesn't end in blood. And Itachi has developed a conscious two weeks too late and REFUSES to give ANY opinions because he doesn't want to manipulate Sasuke anymore. And Sasuke is drowning and desperate and confused and unanchored for the first time in his disgustingly planned out life that has evolved around Itachi in one way or another since his first breathe so of course he wants Itachi's input it's reflex at this point of COURSE he wants Itachi to say something.. And Itachi is trying not to throttle his brother, not grab him by the shoulders and scream about how he has to protect Konoha everything has to be for Konoha after all that after everything I've done IT HAS TO BE FOR KONOHA and about how he needs to be happy he needs to be happy right now he needs to be fulfilled and satisfied with Itachi's death and go live the lovely domestic life Itachi- none of the Uchiha will get to live now. But he doesn't do that because he's respecting Sasuke's autonomy now and thus doesn't have anything worth saying. And Sasuke wants him to say something. And Itachi hasn't told the truth in a decade, isn't sure he knows how anymore, can't see himself through any lens that doesn't end with his death that has already happened he's dead he's done he's no one why is he here what is he supposed to have to offer how is he supposed to offer anything with hands made of ash. He convinced himself until his dying breath that everything he'd done had been for sasuke's benefit....and then he came back to life and had to confront the fact that he was lying to himself. All he did was ruin Sasuke's life. That's it. HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO BR NORMAL ABOUT THAT. And Sasuke just. Sasuke just wants him to say something. Anything.
