How's uni, how's music school?

sorry it took me so long to reply in turn. god, idk what to tell you, i hate uni. not uni as a whole - actually, the interdivisional classes are kinda what convinces me not to go ahead and drop out. however, dear god, my course and the people on my year... it's all just so exceptionally... mundane? earthbound? or maybe just ugly? i think it's a characteristic of niche courses, like yours and mine, that a lot of people end up there by accident and don't really create a very inspirational environment. and truth be told, languages are not my priority in life either, and so in many classes i just sit quietly and read, but in the classes that i do care for (like anthropology, philosophy, etc) i actively try to partake in the discussion, but the discussion is really on a much lower level than what we knew.

music school, however, is really going great and i've been making surprising progress with my new teacher. basically, for the last 3 years that i've been studying opera, i've been working on something that didn't exactly ever get a chance to show up, and it sounded like i'm making little to almost no progress, but as it turns out now, because of a surface level mistake, and now that my new teacher worked it out with me, suddenly those 3 years of practice are showing up. plus, finally, i'm back to music theory classes, ear training and even goddamn piano.

this year i'm mostly becoming a hermit, waiting to get into conservatory and/or write an additional matura and try to get somewhere else in uni if i don't get into conservatory. and that option seems highly plausible, given that naturally i'm only supposed to after 4 years of 2nd grade music school. but no one ever died because of trying too early, right? and so in my mind, music is the carrot and this uni division is the stick right now, if that makes sense.

The CEO of the company I work for personally invited me to his and his family’s lake house this weekend and I cannot waiitt. It’s in the mountains so it’s going to be perfectly chilly , the perfect opportunity to try out my new fur boots! They also have a hot tub (and I think a sauna) in the house and I can’t wait to soak all the stress away.

Haha lmao I'm not gonna lie, they are my comfort place as well. Something about time loops just excites me and calms me down at the same time.

BTW, are you planning on any new oneshot/series after this? Or just a long break?

bro the idea of a time loop is so comforting for me probably just bc. infinite time and nobody remembers it. like yknow how people are always like "don't worry about it nobody's even gonna remember it". like that but you know for certain. no need to commit that time the waiter said "enjoy your meal" and i said "you too" to long term memory bc he literally will magically forget. the absolute dream. like the amount of things i wanna do that i am so scared of being seen doing. time loop. so freeing.
