Alright, I got curious and read the wiki summary of the latest episode and holy shit......

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Starco was better written than this. Because as shitty as the Starco ship was, there was never this gross abusive power dynamic between Star and Marco like there is with Stolas and Blitzo.

Once again, the narrative completely downplays Stolas' objectification of Blitzo in favor of the "But he's a sad boy who just wants to be loved" archetype.

It really is the Valentino and Angel dynamic from Hazbin, but even worse.

Not gonna lie, it's kind of amazing how Helluva Boss' writing keeps getting worse with each new episode. As bad as season one was, I kind of understood why some people liked it, but season two has been complete and utter garbage for two years straight.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time believing that anybody outside of Viv's hardcore fanbase enjoys Helluva Boss.

I think that the work of SNS veteran shippers and those of us who came later and have continue to defend the fact that Naruto and Sasuke are in love and the manga is a gay love story in a shonen/action-packed setting has paid off substantially.

Like this lady right here on tiktok. Although she enjoys BL, she is not a hardcore SNS shipper (like us lol) but still talks abt how Shonen authors could very much write BLs because they have already written gay love stories in their works and then goes on to use SNS and Satosugu as examples. The tiktok has over 201k likes and it's only one of many, it's clear the general anime/manga audience *knows* what we know. Maybe not with the same depth that the SNS community has discovered through analyses of the manga over the years but they can tell Naruto and Sasuke aren't just friends and their feelings for each other are romantic.

I think the issue we encounter right now more than ever as SNS shippers is that people in the anime/manga community still believe that:

Shonen and BLs are mutually exclusive. So if someone writes a shonen there can't be gay people there because gay characters only appear "traditional" BLs.

If a man and a woman get married that means they're confirmed as straight. For these people is simply inconceivable that a character could be bisexual or could be in a lavender marriage (Naruto and Sasuke's case) or any other scenario.

Now, in the replies people are talking about how Naruto dudebros and SS and NH shippers are more aggressive about the het!ships (which is true, I was in the fandom from 2012-2015 too) but I will have to say that they're not a huge mob or anything. There are less of them than there used to.

Here's the thing, no matter how gay and romantic the writing between Naruto and Sasuke was (and everybody in the fandom noticed) it was known they were not going to end up together so het!shippers did not see us as a threat. It was narusaku vs naruhina/sasusaku, sns was off the table.

But then The Last came out and this movie was really the first nightmare for het!shippers. They had expected a beautiful love story between Naruto and Hinata and it ended up being ass, disappointing everybody and I would know I was there! my favorite anime youtubers some of them Naruhina shippers didn't like it because they saw how OoC Naruto was and how stupid Hinata acted. My cousin who loved Naruhina stopped shipping them the minute he saw Hinata forgetting she could walk on walls with her chakra he was so offended!!! lmao. Keep in mind that NH was already walking on a thin line after Neji's death which pissed off a lot of dudebros that were also Hinata gooners. One of my classmates who shipped NH was so freaking mad about Neji's death he also stopped liking Hinata as a character.

The mockery NH went through after the movie premiered was off the charts and it would only get worse once Naruto Gaiden came out. Sasusaku was never a particularly beloved ship no matter how rabid its shippers are so you can imagine how bad it was once Kishimoto started trolling them with the whole "is Karin Sarada's real mom? and also Sasuke is never home lol". Then Boruto the movie came out and the gay ass scene of Naruto holding Sasuke like a princess really showed everyone how gay this whole thing is. The memes on Naruto and Sasuke being the gays dad taking care of their child? they've been a thing since forever! in fact it was the dudebros who started them.

What happened next is SNS-antis becoming extremely aggressive as more and more people clocked what Kishimoto was doing. There are less SS/NH shippers compared to what used to be back in 2013 for instance, people outgrew the ships and when they looked back to Naruto they realized what was really going on, I find a lot of these people on twitter. The het!shippers that remained became far more hostile and their "anti-arguments" far more ridiculous (like the whole pseudo-incest stuff lol whatever the hell that means). It's obviously insecurity tied with their homophobia.

So when it comes to het!shippers harrassing SNS shippers, there aren't as many of them as they used to but they're also so much more confrontational and violent to the point it gets disturbing so it's a "we won but at what cost" type of situation.

When I had started writing this blog, I was told by other SNS to tag my Sakura and Hinata posts as anti Sakura and anti Hinata so I wouldn't be hounded by their crazy ass stans. Well that didn't work. Lol. Anyway, I began to tag my posts as Haruno Sakura and Hyuuga Hinata, because even if I don't like them, my analysis of them is based on their characters, I am rock solid secure about it and I don't care who reads it and cries about it.

My suggestion to SNS fans would be, take the antis head on if you wish so. Take any anti SNS head on. Any single one of them. Confront them if you want, without hesitation or doubt. No need to be afraid.

As a SNS shipper, just know you are in the right. I am ready to sign it on a bond paper. Just know that they are ALL CATEGORICALLY WRONG, and you SNS stans are right, as long as you have sincerely read and understood the manga.

Know that you are backed by the author of the manga, media experts and aficionados and several casual fans who value accountability and have a mature outlook towards storytelling and life. Say it with arrogance and conceit even, because sometimes intimidation works just as well. Don't waste your energy on things that don't deserve it. But if you do choose to confront, never be meek, never surrender. Be cool about it or aggressive, your choice but don't feel disheartened at their takes, they don't know what they are talking about. Laugh at them if you want, that's what their theories are good for anyway.

Enough of this homophobic caterwauling. This is 2024, and this is a global fandom with many fans who are impressionable and naive. Let them have the advantage of understanding the true meaning of this manga. You are the torchbearers of Naruto's legacy, like I have said before, SNS fans are true Naruto fans, the rest are just posers and bigoted dumbfucks. No more bigotry, no more prejudice, no more bullshit. It's high time. Enough time has passed and all the 'they are just friends waaah' or 'they are just brothers waaah' or 'It is unintentional waaah' type of takes need to GO! Naruto fandom is your space to explore, take advantage and have your fun and thrill too. YOU own it. Go crazy. Saturate the fandom, open up the discussion, destroy the prejudice and dumbfuckery, confront whothefuckever you wish, and do it with relish because you are right and they are wrong. Period.

Do it. Be bold, be strong, be proud. You have the fandom's support, passionate support too because that's what this story engenders in responsible fans. Confront them without hesitation if that's your vibe and smack them in the face with panels from the manga and explain them too, they are quite easy to decode. Just know you can do it because that's what the story is supposed to be, you can't miss it. High time to change this heteronormative narrative. Naruto is a gay love story and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Like you (maybe? You had put a question mark) I am jm biased as well. The reason I got into bts was because of his unique tone. I can admit that, yes, jimin has times and days where his vocals aren't up to par, but I believe that it started happening when Bh led him down that higher voice road. I am in love with jm's lower register, it's always been my favorite but the higher tone .....for some reason I don't think it's his actual voice, if it was, he would've started out with it.

I like jk as well, jk on a vocal level is good but his performances.....🥴. My time is the most cringe performance I have ever seen. I get second hand embarrassment everytime and I can't watch it fully through. The world cup performance was lack luster as well. Jk as a vocalist is good, he's stable and he has that pop boy voice but that's it. There's no flavor. There's nothing about his voice that makes me want to listen to a full album.

1. The lore is that I was a hardcore jimin biased army from i need u to dna, and then switched sides to become a bts hater due to an avalanche of reasons (not writing that essay here). But through that time I would occasionally check up on them or find myself thinking hmm.... Bts sure do suck, but Jungkook has done nothing wrong ever and he is the Best and most talented kpop boy in the world and I hate bts but I love him. In fact i can tell you the exact time and date this switch started happening. I was already one foot out the door at this point.

Which I guess turned out to be true 🥴 I'm in my 2nd bts era rn, I plan to catch up with everything, and the second I started consuming content again it was apparent Jimin is my actual bias, not Jungkook. (i never resented jimin but liking him and the rest of bts was very cringe. I could write an essay on this.)

2. I think jimins voice does naturally fall in the higher range. Korean karaoke machines have tone settings, to switch songs by girls to a male register and vice versa, and in in the soop they made a point that Jimin switched to a higher range and Tae was like nooo. But just because that head voice comes natural doesn't mean it's usable anywhere besides heavily processed studio adlibs. He has never been able to sing any one of his 'high notes' live and im tired of pretending he did. I do love his lower register as well, as you might've seen in my posts about 'ma city' and 'danger'. I'd love if you sent me some more examples of your favourite of his vocal moments

6. I switched to jk because of his talent but I was jm biased because of his personality and that imo is way more important when it comes to idols. It's just that some people will act fake and be like "noo jimin totallyyy sung live!! No his voice didn't crack you're an anti!!" but im straight up about it. Idc about talent (i mean it doesn't hurt that hes the second best dancer but if he danced like jin i don't think it would change my mind). 3. I watched my time just for you anon, and it's not that cringe!?? Maybe bc I opened a version with eng subs and immediately clicked out and found one without, so idk the subject matter but his vocals and stage presence are great? You'll have to tell me what you dislike about it. Dreamers is just.... The "of bts" is bigger than "jungkook" and that's obvious. He definitely wouldn't be able to make it without a group, but I don't think any of them would.

4. You're absolutely right that he's flavourless!! And posting your opinions is good, you should absolutely do it publicly!!! That's the problem with being a jack of all trades- he's a master of none. I get the appeal of any of the rest of the tannies vocal tones. And literally every time there's confusion about who is singing, jungkook the chameleon is at the crime scene. He's just a blank slate in life too, it's insane. He's the only idol who can genuinely go from cutie bunny to sexy sangnamja and pull off the edgy pierced tattoed look as well as the innocent flower boy vibe. And I'm saying that sincerely. There's a reason his stereotyping in fanfic ranges so wildly, from jock to nerd and from alpha to omega. I get what you mean about not desiring a full solo album from him but I'm in the majority boat of 'as long as the song is good idc who sings it' and that's why he has the potential to do well internationaly.

5. About stage presence.... I just watched 6 hours of fancams trying to formulate my point and ended up more confused than I was before 🫠. I'll try to sum it up.

Hoseok performs like he was born to do it. His facial expressions are an equal part of his dancing as his body, and he dances like he would die of he couldn't. He's an entertainer, a performer, he's energetic and electric on the stage, and in my mind's eye I cant even imagine him slacking off the way I'm about to describe for Jimin. I wouldn't say he owns the stage, but he definitely owns the largest part of it while still working in harmony with the rest of the team.

Jungkook is an idol group Center. And I specifically mean the jpop senbatsu model, where they all dance the same dance, no formations, but there is one fixed Center for every single. Jungkook is that. He's the one who will stand in the middle, represent the group while people dance and rap to the left and right of him. He's the one who will do the basic choreography so that the rest can add their flares to it, the one who will sing the whole song in the studio so that others can give their adlibs and harmonies. He will face the public head-on and he does it great

And here is the main difference between both of them vs jimin, and in my view the most important measure of stage presence: Eyes.

Specifically, where are your eyes when the camera isn't on you?

Everyone talks about Jimin's sexy gaze. Sure, fine. He has his killer parts. He has the moments in the songs tailor made for the camera to zoom in on him and capture his sexy expression. But... When that camera leaves and moves on to the next member... The audience is still there. And that's what Jimin seems to forget.

His default seems to be looking at the floor. He often seems like he's there just to dance, like he's counting the beats in his head, just waiting for His Part, or hyping himself up to Make A Facial Expression. His face doesn't dance like Hoseok's does, expressing the emotions of each song perfectly- he doesn't look straight on at the audience like Jungkook does, cocky and confident. He has two moods- serious and goofy. He's serious most of the time. Which means most of the time he looks and acts like a very good back up dancer, who is occasionally VERY GOOD at posing for the camera. And that's my other point- his face doesn't dance, it poses. There's a reason why in my time in the fandom I always saved fantakens of him but never watched any fancams. He's good at Posing. And making that face. And raising that eyebrow, or winking, or splaying out that tongue (something he does A Lot). He's good at being coquettish and flirty and inviting. For a few seconds before he gets... Embarrassed. It's all so scripted. It's all pre-planned, never spontaneous like H and Jk seem to be.

As I said, I watched fancams up to dna + fake love and boy with luv. Reflective on my opinion on him as a whole, I think he does marginally better in concepts like bwl, where he doesn't feel the pressure of being sexy- he can play around a bit and be goofy. Nothing is more emblematic of this than his war of hormone era fancams, which I watched and literally GASPED because.. That's what I want from him!!! Always!!!! That playfulness, that flirting with the audience, not just the camera!!! If you're still reading this, please go watch a woh era jimin fancam. It will change your life.

So I guess you can say I'm being too subjective and some people will find his blank expression and dead eyes very sexy. Sure. But I will forever prefer him SMILING to him doing any other expression (which all seem to blur into nothing) and I sincerely hope in my journey through the rest of their career I will find more instances of him owning the stage. I'll update. But having seen snippets of like crazy and some other songs... I doubt it 😔

Hiiii. I mean I do believe they love each other and within their group they're definitely the most compatible people, at least within BTS, Jimin and Jungkook are for each other that person you could spend hours and days and weeks with and never get tired or bored of them.

I can't say if that means romance to them, tho.

I would say I'm more of a maybe they are together, maybe they aren't together. After the hickey what I know for sure is that none of the two are straight. But even if two guys are LGBTQ and they happen to be friends and get along really well, doesn't necessarily mean they're dating or they're in a full on relationship. Chemistry =/= relationship.

voltron - the most infamous fandom on this website for all the things they did to the creators and shippers. it's what started the whole ‘anti-ship’ movement with all the "anti-sheith" stuff.

game of thrones / d&d - were harassed and bullied by fans because of what they did to dany towards the end of her arc, among other things they hated them for.

rick riordan - harassed and bullied by the fans and non-fans alike. is constantly reprimanded for the way he wrote characters with adhd and dyslexia, despite the fact that he was writing those characters for his son/s that had it so they can feel represented in stories.

undertale - an artist was sent "treats" from someone that had needles in it.

steven universe - the creator was called a n*zi

hasbin hotel - vivziepop has been doxxed and threatened and harassed

game grumps - harassed when dream daddy came out and someone dug into the coding and found a supposed cult ending for one of the bachelors despite it not actually being canon to the game and was decided against

fnaf - before all the donations came out, the creator was harassed for the past years because of how many games he put out and that he was milking the series. i shouldn't have to say that death threats are wrong no matter what a person does, but apparently i do.

but anyway, my point is, rwby is not the only one. to believe so is ignorant. crwby are not the only creators who have faced hate and death threats.

none of this is right and i never condoned blatant harassment and mistreatment against crwby. i talked about how the hardcore stans can't hear a single negative thing about the show or they'll literally lose their minds.

this fandom has repeated offenses of: racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and so much more.

i've seen poc get talked over for having issues with the fact that many of the villains are poc, or that the wf was offensive, or that they don't believe blake is asian-coded.

i've seen mlm face horrible homophobia, especially during the whole incident with fairgame. mlm were upset about being baited, and everyone jumped them and told them to shut up and that they weren't baited and that they were deluded into thinking the ship would be canon.

people are labeled homophobic and lesbophobic for not shipping bb. people are sent death threats because they don't care for ships at all and would rather see where the story goes.

lgbt people are talked over by others when they have issues with the fact that for the past EIGHT years, we have 7 wlw-coded characters (two of which are confirmed), one trans character (confirmed), and two? confirmed mlm characters that don't have screentime and the only place you see them is in the books. lgbt have issues with this ! and everyone tells them to shut up and that they're just het and homophobic.

This is why I've always questioned why TK is so popular. Yes, they like to snuggle and cuddle and be cute but they remind me of two little kids having fun. I just never saw any real tension offstage and out of sight.

I'd much quicker assume vmin was real. Now there is a relationship rooted in love. They are admittedly soulmates. I don't see a lot of sexual tension otherwise I'd be head over heels, but there is an intimacy there that's closer than friends I feel like. Kind of like a could have been and maybe should have been vibe, like if they both were less than 100% straight and felt attracted to one another they'd be all for it, but I don't really see any romantic and or sexual interest vibes coming from Jimin. I do see a massive amount of affection. If I'm honest, I've wondered if maybe there have been one sided feelings involved based on personal intuition and from watching their interactions over time. I have some thoughts that delve into what's most likely fantasy so I'll keep those to myself lol

I have suspicions on the maknae line's sexualities for sure. It's speculation for speculation's sake. Basically it boils down to everyone being a hoe for Jimin (oops), but like who isn't kwim?

For the most part, I don't get the feeling Taehyung is gay at all. Maybe he's on the spectrum or maybe he wouldn't care about gender at all, but I do think he's interested in girls. It's weird. I can't really base that on much factual evidence, just the vibe I get. I don't think he should be assumed gay or labeled gay in any capacity just because of his fashion. At any rate, the TK ship has gotten more toxic over time I believe because of several things including the more obvious intimacy of Jikook, the continuous intimacy of vmin, and the absence of TK moments in off stage, real life. This would make any hardcore shipper go crazy with insecurity. Meanwhile, I haven't seen much evidence lately to suggest Tae is overly interested in anyone that way, man or woman. Who knows.

Totally unrelated, but I feel like yoonmin shippers are so chill, or at least the blogs I follow have been. And pretty much any Tae ship including vmin. It's really TK and KM that have been growing toxic that I see mainly. I've unfortunately seen times where a KM stan was quicker to lash out at vmin than a TK stan. I hate to say I don't think Tae and JK are as close as shippers make them seem because that's almost like diminishing vmin's bond in order to bolster Jikook. I'd sooner suggest a love triangle than suggest they aren't all close but even that would upset people. :)

I've been stanning BTS for 4 years, I'm not new in this fandom so I know how ARMY reacts to pretty much everything that happens. In my opinion Tae and Jungkook aren't as close as their shippers like to make them seem, whenever the boys get serious and talk about intimate topics, Taehyung mentions Jimin as an important person-

Taehyung mentions Jimin as the person who has ever been there for him, he always mentions him and his other friends (outside of BTS) for when he has hard times, Taehyung very rarely mentions Jungkook for something important only for playing video games or having fun, so for me it’s like, sure their relationship must be beautiful and close, but not AS close as their shippers try to make it seem. Same with Jungkook, who usually mentions Jin, Joon or Jimin so their ship isn��t ALL that for me.
