anyway think about an alt ending where allura survives and the lions stay and it’s like a whole revert back to season one where the paladins ( including shiro!! ) get to practice holding the atlas/voltron combination together and forming it on comand like years ago and while they’re all more atune to each other by now it’s still hard because it’s a lot of new power and there’s more of them and they’re basically meshing and projecting each others emotions and thoughts and it’s like coran’s original paladin training all over again because you’re never too much of a hero to learn new things.

hear me out : carnival row au
where shiro was an explorer of the fae world along with matt and sam ( who were both inventors and pro-fae enthusiasts intent on learning and archiving more of their culture ) who get caught up in the war and comes home from a pact holding camp with either a forced steam-punk replacement arm or a fae-charmed bodily enchantment.
keith who’s human passing but half fae, living in the city and finding out his mother is a member of the fae community but unsure of whether or not she’s still back in their land or shipped here to avoid the war ( and dreading the idea of both ) and finding her as part of the black raven and begrudgingly being allowed into their ranks as a runner due to his fae-enhanced abilities but always trying to outrun the law and acts as a fae freedom fighter.
pidge who’s following in her father’s footsteps as a budding inventor and is damn intent on proving that neither her parent or her brother were lost to the pact and trying her best to infiltrate local police records and fae rumour to find the truth.
lance who works with his many siblings in the city but has bigger dreams of manning his own ship and seeing the rest of the world and finding what else the fae have hidden away from human eyes.
hunk who’s a fae-sympathiser and runs his own mixed human/fae cafe and often gets heckled by locals who don’t agree but he’s loved by a lot and loves enough right back to overcome their views.
allura and coran who are both fae ‘ nobility ‘ in the city but by proxy are outcast by their high society human peers and entirely alone together suffering the awkward politeness of socialites that don’t want them there but also being the envy of many.

not to be 12 years out of the hp au loop but if keith isn’t the tri-wizard champion for that...magic school from bulgaria and isn’t their hot-shot little quidditch seeker who named his broom red and isn’t just stunning in that red button up uniform thing with the fur and doesn’t make every other champion’s life living HELL during the trials then what’s the point.

sometimes i think of that angelic situation where shiro has black’s wings but then they start to slowly and painfully break apart and move on to building up on keith instead and are replaced by the bigger bulkier wings of the ATLAS and i lose my mind

claustrophobic threads with situations like the one where keith and lance were stuck together in that elevator and are forced to be in each others company for longer than either of them can stand at that point until tensions boil or a more worrying alternative to the start of season 2 where shiro and keith get trapped together under all that rubble with shiro’s festering injury because who doesn’t want big scared sad hours.

we all know i love a good sheith but think about how keith’s ( while not explicitly using the word ) girlfriend acxa may go around the garrison troupe of pilots and paladins trying to work her head around human birthday customs so she can give keith some sort of surprise and keith realises that she took the time to figure out what’s most relevant and typical of earth birthday celebrations all for him and it just makes his entire day.
