Tilted Severed Lines (Solarballs AU)
Part 1: Leaving the Solar system Earth drifts alone in the dark, far beyond the solar system. His once vibrant blue and green surface is now cold, covered in snow and ice. The stars above are dim, barely providing any light as he wanders through the void.
Earth (muttering to himself): "It's been... I don't even know how long anymore. Days, months? Does it even matter out here?" His voice echoes slightly in the void. Earth slows down, feeling the weight of solitude pressing on him.
Earth (sighing): "So quiet. So cold..." Suddenly, his surface shivers as he senses something approaching fast—two massive objects heading straight toward him.
Earth (eyes wide): "W-what—?" The moons are coming at him, fast, spinning wildly as they draw nearer. They’re gray, lifeless, and on a collision course. Earth panics, trying to dodge, but he’s too slow.
Earth: "Oh no, this is it—I'm done!" Just as Earth braces for impact, a massive force pulls the moons away. They stop dead in their tracks, suspended in the darkness.
Earth (confused, looking around): "Wait... what just happened?"
A deep, calm voice rumbles from the shadows, one filled with authority and a bit of humor.
Planet X (casual): "Whoa there! You almost got squished, buddy. Gotta watch out in the dark—things tend to sneak up on ya."
Earth looks around, finally seeing a massive figure emerging from the blackness. Planet X, enormous and glowing faintly with an eerie aura, approaches with a relaxed, easygoing vibe.
Earth (blinking in shock): "Who—who are you?"
Planet X (grinning): "The name’s Planet X, but you can call me X. I just saved you from a pretty bad day, huh?"
Earth (still bewildered): "Saved me? I—those moons—they were going to—"
Planet X (interrupting with a chuckle): "Yeah, yeah, I know. They were about to smack you into pieces. Good thing I’ve got gravity to spare." X gestures to the moons, now calmly orbiting him instead of Earth. Planet X (playful): "Don’t worry, I scared them off for you. They won’t bother you anymore."
Earth (still reeling): "I... thank you. But... why?"
Planet X (shrugging): "Eh, why not? Saw you floating around all alone, figured you could use a hand. Or a gravitational pull, I guess."
Earth finally relaxes, letting out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding.
Earth (softly): "I’ve been drifting for so long... I thought it was over."
Planet X (grinning wider): "Nah, not on my watch. You’re not getting rid of me that easily." He looks at Earth more closely, his playful tone softening a bit. Planet X: "Besides... you don’t look like the kind of guy who deserves to be out here all alone."
Earth (a hint of a smile forming): "I don’t even know where to start. But... thank you, X."
Planet X (chuckling): "No biggie! You’ve got yourself a travel buddy now. And let me tell you, things are about to get a lot more interesting." Part one / Lobby / Next
