yknow the type of character I love? the character that probably grew up terrified and hurting and in desperate need of any comfort at all as kids and they care so deeply for other people but they grow into an adult that's just angry and cold or impassive and distant and they rely on their pride to keep their reputation even when they're breaking. bonus points if underneath it they're still just scared and hurting and need someone desperately but they just can't because their pride and fear and hurt destroy the ability to reach out.

Also extra points again if they're caring under it BUT they're also loyal to a fault. only a few people get that loyalty and it's never given to others or really seen by others until they snap.

Characters that rely on their humour to cope whilst being emotionally distant because they can't handle the weight of their pain but they need it out and it's the only coping mechanism that they have now. Because even if it puts it out there it's light and gentle and laughable. it doesn't hurt them. It doesn't let people know how they feel, it's just taking the burden off of them for a bit.

Bonus points on both of those types if they show themselves as cocky or arrogant or selfish even though underneath everything they're hating themselves at any given moment.

con o’neill is a fucking amazing actor bro. i get why they had to do that arc for his character: it makes sense, narratively, and i do think the decision was done with grace. but boy will i fucking miss him being on that show bc he is just amazing. con and izzy. little bastards.

izzy got to say his truth and hes been accepting of his death since his first appearance. this was kinda overdue, narratively, but im glad he got to find who he is and was able to pass on a legacy. e.g., the prince guy’s reverence of him

EPISODE 6 SEASON 2 = WATCHED

I have been introduced to Hunter ladies, gentlemen and others! I have a mate who has watched some of The Owl House and asked me my opinion of Hunter not long ago when I mentioned I started the show and I went "fucking who??"

BUT NOW I KNOW HIM

I can tell I am going to like his story arc and character development already, S1 turning Amity into a good person felt a bit rushed to me so I am glad we get to see another character go through that arc in S2

THE ADOPTION OF FORGOTTEN PALISMAN, listen, I am not saying I desperately want a palisman now... but I desperately do!

I also LOVED the idea that the bird palisman thing went to Hunter, I literally said when I saw the palisman chose someone "Please bet Hunter not Luz" AND I WAS RIGHT
