happy holidays! may I present everyone's favorite backstabbing voice as a present?

Hunted // Cheated // Opportunist // Broken // Paranoid

(additional notes and headcanons under the cut, plus a bonus holiday doodle :3)

the main design is from post-Witch or the start of the Thorn! regular Opportunist doesn't have the thorns on him

Opportunist is the only voice who has proper clothes (pants and shoes) and has no horns due to taking on a more human appearance. this is so he could appear more trustworthy and "attractive" to the public

he wears gloves to conceal the scales that all the Voices have on their hands. the only sign of him not being "human" is his neck which isn't covered

his ponytail is meant to resemble a scorpion's tail

his eyes are plain white, as eyes are the windows to the soul and he doesn't want to show that

in the Wraith, Opportunist is supposed to be more of a henchman rather than a cashier, but secretive. he also appears more sickly or like he lost blood which shows on the mask. the crack somewhat matches with the Nightmare

in Happily Ever After, he's a groom or best man like in a wedding. I mainly chose a rose to be in his front pocket because there are thorns on its stem, also because it's red like the poppies in the Thorn

in The Princess and the Dragon, the knot of his mask was undone, revealing his more sinister appearance that's shrouded in shadow. I'd imagine he would have a more draconic look underneath the darkness

pictured in Happily Ever After, if Opportunist is nervous at any point, it doesn't show on his mask but rather his "hair"

his default mask doesn't show anything other than the kitty face. his other two masks, on the other hand, are much more expressive in comparison and showcases a large range of emotions for him to mask as

speaking of the other two masks, they are meant to appear like the comedy and tragedy masks in theatre

I chose curtain bangs for his hair because they're like curtains on a stage that hides what is behind the scenes, essentially like trying to hide parts of himself that nobody should see

originally my design of Opportunist was to be some sort of merchant, but now he looks more of a cashier. someone who can be relatable and often seen in public to be relatively normal. just here to do his job

a small detail I'd like to keep from Opportunist's old design is that he has a coin in a pocket somewhere. inspired by a roleplay I had where Opportunist flips a coin that he randomly had

Jimmy sits across from Anya at her desk, looking desperate. She is smiling, unbothered.

Jimmy: I'm in so much pain and I don't know why. Help. I thought it was my appendix but I already got that taken out YEARS ago. (holds his stomach again, all caps) I can feel it in my fucking legs.... Anya: That sounds odd! I can give you painkillers, but if that doesn't work, there's not much else I can do. Jimmy: Okayyyy....

Jimmy takes the painkillers with a "thanks...." before starting to leave. Anya watches him walk out the door before lifting two fingers to her head and pointing her other hand at him, grinning with red eyes. "Period Cramp Beam" is written by her arm. Jimmy hunches over, hugging his stomach again with a groan. end ID]
