sometimes i have to internalize that 1) it's not exactly the same people at the scene of the crime, metaphorically speaking. and 2) people can come to realization about things later on and that's ok.

but man, being a younger adult seeing the craven callousness of some people that claim to have the higher ground today is...wearying. sometimes i'm like 'ok, but was i the only one who remembered what folks were saying back then'.
