Ayer, en el día que cumplí 14 años desde mi primera boda, me alegró comprobar que amo mi vocación igual (o quizás más) que el primer día. Con tan solo haber conocido a Melissa y Guillermo por unas breves 8 horas en el día de su boda, quedé enamorada de ellos, y me viví su día de principio a fin. Me conmoví con sus votos privados, me derretí con lo hermosa que fue su ceremonia, lloré con sus bailes con sus respectivas madres, disfruté conocer más de ellos a través de los brindis de sus amigos, me gocé cada instante de su baile, y agradecí su inigualable energía y la de sus invitados. Miré a mi alrededor y vi a una coordinadora Krizia que corrió todas las bases, la vi asistir al DJ en el booth durante el coctel, me ayudó a posicionar el velo para las fotos de pareja, y hasta insistió en ayudarme a desmontar el equipo cuando era hora de irme. Vi a un DJ Big J que, sin peticiones de canciones previas, leyó por completo a su audiencia y formó una fiesta que nos mantuvo pegados a la pista por horas y horas. Vi a una oficiante Marilyn, que a pesar de que le pidieron una ceremonia distinta a la estructura regular, la logró con tanta gracia y belleza. Hoy trabajé por primera vez en el Sheraton de Convenciones, y quedé encantada con el servicial staff de banquetes, y con el hermoso atardecer que se nos dio en la terraza durante la ceremonia. El que todavía hayan primeras veces luego de 500+ eventos, me recuerda que siempre hay algo nuevo que experimentar, un reto nuevo por sobrepasar, una nueva historia única que capturar. Puerto Rico tiene una industria de bodas TOP, y hoy más que nunca, estoy tan agradecida de formar parte de ella. Puerto Rico is a 100-mile wide island formerly known for pristine beaches and lush forests. For me it's now a land full of amazing, compassionate people who go above and beyond to help each other in times of distress. It will require a long time, lots of work, and a little tlc, but I know for sure we'll shine again soon. I'm safe and I'm ready to get back to work. Thanks to everyone who's been asking. I am not gonna lie: multicultural destination weddings are always an extra level of excitement to capture. What I love most about my job is meeting fascinating people from all over the world from many different cultural backgrounds. So when Tas and Jaime initially inquired, I felt very proud that being from Kenya 🇰🇪 and Spain 🇪🇸, they would celebrate their union in this little chunk of soil in the Caribbean 🇵🇷. And then... I met these two remarkable souls and their lovely guests. Their warmth, quirkiness, and pure energy made us fast friends. I wish you could've been there, but at least there are photos!
