It's that time of year again at least in our part of the world... time for schools to start again. And for us that meant taking our daughter off to college. It's always a bitter-sweet time but overall it's a good thing. During the university President's speech, he looked over the crowd and asked, "Who of you have brought your first child to college?" Many various hands worked their way up. Then he asked, "For whom of you is this your last child to come to college?" Many other hands quickly shot up. He made note of the difference. I found it an interesting note of this passage of life. Whether it be the first or last to go start grades-chool, drive, or leave home, it's interesting how we parents grow and change with them all. - Our hands were among the latter group. As a photographer, after spending a day and a half in various orientation activities I took some time to take some shots of the campus. This just seemed to capture the warm summer day while still having the peaceful rest before the storm of learning to come. I was looking for ways to capture the semi-ordinary and yet keep it interesting / more than just some buildings and grounds. A chance to keep practicing this art I've come to love. .
